  Critique:

Story Title: 2.5/5

Title – the first weapon used by writers to gather potential reader. A good title is known to have certain qualities; they are eye-catching, related to the story, reflective of the genre, and intriguing while still being easy to remember. Your title bore relevance to your story and also hinted the angsty feeling but it was boring as well as easily forgettable. Not only that, ‘The Last Words’ is a title which is very common not only here in AFF, but also in other sites. Hence… I’d suggest a title change, but since it was for a contest of sorts, you probably can’t change it. Either way, I’m sorry for the poor grade.

Graphics: 8/10

I liked your 2nd, ie., your current poster. It looks sad and the greyish blue background creates some relation to the fact that it was related to a water body accident. It was a good poster. I’m glad you changed it to this since the first poster, although really well-made doesn’t really relate to the story. The background you used was kind of so-so, and the story didn’t really need it but since you put it, that’s okay too.

Description and Foreword: 9/10

I LOVE your description. In fact, this was the section of the story that had me hooked. I wanted to read it the moment I laid eyes on it. Simple and just oozing sadness, as any good angst description should – although, it did reveal a tad bit too much about the plot.

Characterization: 4/10

Your characterisation was okay, not very good, neither very bad. The character’s reaction were honestly top the top here and there. Like how the OC reacted when the cat disappeared, then the entire monologue about how the kitten was like their “first child”. Mentioning that doesn’t add extra drama since no matter which number, any child is important to the parents. It didn’t add effect, only made her look strang
