“Babe, what’s the rush? You haven’t stopped moving since this morning.”

Yixing tried to communicate with Baekhyun, but as the younger man was moving around too quickly, and he made no effort to try to follow and just stayed laid back on the couch, he could only hope that his husband heard him.

“Did you forget? Your mother is coming tomorrow!”

Baekhyun showed his face for a quick instant, just to give an annoyed look to Yixing, and went back to rummaging through the closets.

“Yeah, I know. So what?”

Yixing responded, raising his voice so he could be heard in the other room.

“So what?!?”

Baekhyun screeched, and Yixing heard him stomping over, appearing to him once again now with a very pissed off expression.

“So what that I have to dig out all the extremely ugly presents that she gave to us over the years, and place them around the house, in a way that makes it look like they’ve been there all along!”

Baekhyun screamed, venting out all his frustration. He couldn’t understand how a man so laid back and relaxed like Yixing could have such a mean and obnoxious mother. Baekhyun suffered every time she came to visit, because no matter how hard he tried to please her, in her eyes he was never good enough to have married her most precious son.

“Oh… Right… Sorry. I love you!”

Yixing gave him a sly smile, and Baekhyun lost all strength to fight and complain. He could handle the evil mother-in-law, as long as Yixing was still there with him, smiling like he could make the entire world better. And to Baekhyun, he did.
