Sehun and Jongin slowly made their way to school, quietly dreading having to take another step. After staying up too late watching movies and playing around, the last thing those two wanted was to sit through hours of lessons.

As they walked down the path, they could see various other students, from different schools, and different ages. But Sehun started to notice something. The older looking students, who were closer to their age, all looked gloomy and serious, like they were walking toward some torture grounds, while the  younger children happily trotted away, all playing around and cheerfully talking to each other.

That scenery brought to him some nostalgic feeling, as he remembered back when he also ran around on his way to school, playing around with his friends, not scared or tired.

“Man, I feel old…”

He commented, barely getting Jongin’s attention, but at least getting a late answer from the other, once he processed what Sehun had said.

“You’re 17.”

Jongin frowned as he stated that, and looked at Sehun like he was weird, which was a look that Sehun knew well and had gotten very used to.

“I know. It’s just… Look at all those kids man. They’re happy. Remember when we were happy? We might be young, but we already got old dude… Old on the inside…”

Sehun said, staring out into the streets, ignoring the confused and full of judgement Jongin was giving him.
