Jongin stood quietly, in the middle of the now empty room. Everyone had ran away, but it was too late for him. The guards were coming, and there was nothing he could do.

He could hear their hurried steps, the deep sound of their voices echoing through the underground shelter walls. He was not scared of them. He was going to die in a few minutes, but it didn’t terrify him. He found peace in himself, during that moment of chaos, and the corner of his lips curled up to a smile, because it was thanks to Kyungsoo that he felt like that.

He knew all would be okay, and that the rebels would carry on to win that fight, even without him to guide them. Because now they had Kyungsoo, who knew everything that was needed. Jongin learned to trust him so much, and learned how to love. The boy made him see a brighter future.

The steps became really loud, and the door was cracked open with a bang, revealing fully armed guards, who had him in their line of fire within seconds.

“I love you Kyungsoo.”

Multiple shots were fired, the loud guns emptying that room out of its life.
