Minseok walked into the kitchen, ready to start making lunch. Right in the middle of the room, he saw his 12 years old son Sehun, just standing still, looking around like a lost lamb.

“What’s wrong?”

He asked, and started to move around naturally, getting the ingredients he needed.

Sehun hesitated, but then started talking in a quiet tone.

“I don’t remember why I came in here.”

Minseok smiled at the solemn sound of the boy’s voice, finding it funny that it was probably the first time Sehun had that happen to him.

“I was going to do something, so I walked in, but now I just don’t know what it was…”

The boy pouted, and Minseok decided to try to help, out of pity.

“Did you come to get a glass of water?”

He asked, and the boy didn’t hesitate to answer.

“No.”

“To get a snack?”

The boy shook his head, denying it again. Minseok stopped for a bit, not being able to think what else a 12 year old would do in a kitchen.

“How about this? You can help me set the table, and while you do that you can try to remember what it was.”

Minseok suggested, and Sehun moaned, obviously against doing the task.

“Go on.”

Minseok pushed, handing the boy a few plates he took out of the cabinet.

Sehun whined again, but took them, and moved off to the living room table, to set the plates.
