Kyungsoo had promised his son that they’d go see the penguins on the weekend, and that was all that little Sehun could think about the entire week.

“Are we going to see the penguins now, daddy?”

The boy would ask every time they rode the bus, and even though Kyungsoo felt sorry to inform Sehun that they were actually going to school, he found the pouty face the boy made extremely precious.

And when the day finally came, Kyungsoo decided not to tell him. He got the boy ready, and they left home like usual. Once sat at the bus, Sehun was very quiet, taking peeks at his dad, the question starting to form in his mind, like it had all the other days of the week. Kyungsoo just stared at him with a smile, waiting for it.

“Are we going to see the penguins, daddy?”

Sehun finally asked, his eyes glowing with expectation, like they had every time he asked that question.

“Yes we are.”

Kyungsoo answered, and the boy’s face lit up. Sehun started cheering and dancing on his seat and Kyungsoo couldn’t help but laugh, as he shared the excitement. His son’s happiness was his happiness.
