Yixing trailed through the park slowly, walking behind as he watched Jongin moving around in front of him.

The young man was pickling leaves off the ground, picking the prettiest ones, and storing them inside his large history book. He had been doing in the entire way home, and Yixing found it incredibly endearing.

Jongin was taking those beautifully red autumn leaves and turning them into the most creative crafts, from bookmarks, to beautiful collages. He always enjoyed that season the best, he never knew why. But it just made him feel inspired, and he loved it.

“Here.”

Yixing called out, and he turned back, seeing the man walking towards him, still in a laid back speed. But in his hand, he had a large red leaf, which Jongin had somehow missed on his path through.

Jongin immediately received it, with a thankful smile, and stored it carefully.

Yixing never really ever thought about what his favorite season was before, but ever since he met Jongin, he grew incredibly found of autumn, as it seemed like a season where it all became softer, and people got more relaxed. A time where their simple walk back from college was so enjoyable.
