"I'm a werewolf." 

Seolah shook her head. "He's crazy. Werewolves aren't real." Seolah tried to forget about what her best friend told her last night and went back to her textbook. After hours of studying, Seolah decided that she should grab something to eat. She rolled her shoulders back and massaged them. Noises came from outside her room. "Is she back?" Seolah got up from her chair and walked out of her room to the living room. "Mom?" Seolah froze when she saw a brown wolf in the middle of her living room. It stared back at her with menacing eyes. It smirked at her before jumping at her. Seolah screamed and waited for impact but nothing came.

Instead, she felt someone pull her out of the way. She opened her eyes. "Wonho! What are you doing here?" Wonho made sure that she didn't have any wounds. He looked at her and smirked, eyes flashing green, "Saving my mate."

"What? Wonho! It's dangero-" She gasped when her best friend started to change. His eyes slowly changed into an emerald green color as his bones grew and changed before her eyes. Seolah's jaw dropped when she saw a silver wolf in her living room. Wonho looked back at her and smirked before attacking the brown wolf.

Wonho was much bigger than the brown wolf, giving him some advantage. The brown wolf snarled when Wonho clawed its cheek. Wonho fell back when the brown wolf pushed him. He howled in pain when it bit down on his arm. Seolah looked around and picked up the vase on the table next to her. Without hesitation, Seolah ran up to the brown wolf on top of Wonho and smashed the glass vase on its head. The brown wolf yelped and momentarily lost its focus but quickly regained it and turned to her. It growled with menacing eyes before jumping on her. Seolah immediately lost her conscious when her head hit the wall behind her.

Wonho's eyes widened when he saw his mate lying unconscious on the floor. He whipped his head back to the wolf and growled before jumping on top of him with his jaw open wide.

Seolah grabbed her head in pain as she regained her conscioius. She slowly opened her eyes and looked around her house. It was a mess. Chairs were broken, vases were cracked and there was blood on the floor. Seeing the blood, Seolah started to panic.

"You're awake." Seolah's heart calmed down when she saw that her best friend was okay. She winced when she saw his bleeding arm. Wonho noticed where she was looking and hid his arm behind him. "Are you hungry? I made some-"

"So werewolves are real." Wonho chuckled and nodded. Seolah sighed. "I can't believe it. My best friend is a werewolf and he never told me?" Seolah thought back to what he said earlier that day. "So, is it true?" Wonho furrowed his brows, "What?" Seolah bit her lip and smiled, "That I'm your mate!" Wonho choked on his saliva. Did I really say that out loud? 

"A-About that, Seolah-" Seolah suddenly pulled him into a hug. "Thank goodness. I thought I was crazy for liking my best friend. I guess happy endings are for everyone." Wonho took a while to register what she said and smiled, wrapping his strong arms around her. I guess they are. 

Wonho pulled back. "Where did you get that courage from anyway? Throwing a vase at something that's two times bigger than you? Dang, I chose the right girl to be my mate." Seolah laughed and lightly hit his chest. "Shut up. Stay here, I'll go get some medicine for your wound." She stood up from the couch and yelped when he yanked her back. She landed on her back on the cushions with Wonho on top of her, straddling her waist. "My wound can wait. It'll heal by itself. For now," Wonho's eyes trailed down to her lips. He looked back at her eyes to make sure that she was okay with it and leaned down to finally kiss his mate.
