Dia breathed in the fresh air. "It's so nice here. Why didn't you bring me here before?"

Myungsoo came behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist as they looked at the sea. "You're here now, aren't you? With me, and that's all that matters."

Dia smiled, "You're right. I'm glad I'm here with you." She tilted her head back and planted a sweet kiss on his cheek where a simple soon formed.

Myungsoo smiled and grabbed her hand. "Come on. I want to show you around before we greet my dad."

Dia eagerly nodded and followed his lead.

The young couple roamed around the small city, hand in hand, and tried all the delicious street snacks they came across.

"I'm going to go to the restroom. Wait right here." Myungsoo squeezed her hand before going into a small corner cafe.

Dia looked at the street market and beamed at all the cute little things the shops were selling. "Ooh!" Her eyes lit up when she saw a claw machine.

Myungsoo walked out of the cafe. "Alright, where do yo- Dia?"

Myungsoo's brows bunched together as he looked around. "Dia?" He looked left and right but couldn't find her anywhere.

His eyes darted around the whole street as his steps quickened. His heart raced as he looked at every store and cart.

She wasn't anywhere. "." Myungsoo let out a big sigh and ran his fingers through his black hair.

He gritted his teeth and took out his phone. "Pick up. Pick up." Myungsoo cursed again when she didn't answer.

He asked around if anyone saw a girl with long, wavy red-brown hair wearing a light pink sweater. Most said no.

Myungsoo was about to go look around again when he heard a familiar laugh.

He quickly turned around and was relieved to see Dia squatting next to a dog.

Myungsoo felt more calm but he slightly grew angry as he saw her smiling. She looked so carefree, while he was running around searching for her.

Myungsoo roughly made her stand up by pulling her arm. "Ow, Myungsoo-"

"Where were you? Do you know how worried I was? I told you to wait, but you just left."

Dia's eyes started to water as he yelled at her. "I-I was just-"

"Just what? Don't ever do that again. And why didn't you answer your phone?" He frustratedly sighed before glaring at her, letting his anger take over him.

"What were you thinking? You don't know this place or anyone around here. What if something happened to you? I don't want to lose you again after..." Myungsoo's voice faltered as he thought back to the fire that almost took Dia's life.

Dia softened and hugged his neck. Myungsoo buried his face into her shoulder and squeezed her. "Don't leave me like that."

Dia nodded and caressed his hair. "I won't ever again, I promise. And I'm sorry."

Myungsoo pulled back, "Me too. But why did you leave?"

"I was just looking around until I saw a man having trouble controlling his dog and holding his groceries. So I was watching the dog while he went to put his things in his car."

Myungsoo smiled and ruffled her hair. "Always out and about helping others. That's my girl."

"Myungsoo?"

Myungsoo turned around and gasped, "Dad? What are you doing here?"

His dad looked just as shocked to see him with Dia. "I'm here to take my dog back."

Myungsoo and Dia looked at each other in shock before giggling and turning back to his dad.

The three ended up driving back to Myungsoo's house together with the dog.

"I'll do the dishes, Mr. Kim." Dia picked up a plate.

"It's okay. You're the guest here." Myungsoo's dad took the plate from her hand and smiled. "And it's father-in-law to you."

Dia smiled, already feeling like they were family. She picked up the rest of the plates and brought them to the sink.

"I still want to help, father-in-law." He smiled and made room for her to stand. "Alright. I'll wash, you rinse." Dia firmly nodded and went to work.

Myungsoo leaned on the wall and watched the two interact with a wide smile on his face. 

The three of them sat around the coffee table and ate fruits. Dia clapped her hands, "I forgot! I brought some presents for you."

Myungsoo's eyes widend as she stood up. "You didn't have to." Dia excused herself and hurried to the door.

Myungsoo's dad put a hand on his shoulder. "She's a good kid. I'm glad you chose her. I'm sure your mother would've adored her as much as I do."

Myungsoo's smile grew wider as he saw her putting her shoes on. "I did pick the right one, didn't I?"
