Sorry for the long wait!

Jinae lowered her cap and rubbed the underside of her nose as she walked down the aisle at the convenience store. She glanced at the cashier who was shuffling behind the register doing whatever he did to waste time at the empty store. 

She ran her fingers across the packaged food and snacks as she her lips. She also kept her eyes on the cashier to find the perfect timing. 

Right when he crouched down to pick something up, Jinae stuffed a bag of shrimp chips and ramen before acting appearing into his view again, walking nonchalantly toward the door.

Jinae was about to open the door when the young man stopped her.

"Wait."

. Jinae ignored him and walked out.

"Young lady! Wait!"

Jinae cursed again as she qiuckened her footsteps. When she felt him right behind her tail, she made a run for it.

At the same time, a luxurious black car pulled up on the small street of Insadong.

"Are you sure you want to get off her, master?"

Vernon looked out the window with hazel eyes twinkling under the sunlight. "Yes."

"Sir..."

He looked at his chauffeur and smiled. "I'll be fine. I just want to tour the city before I get home. Tell my mother that I'm stopping by a bookstore." Vernon ignored his chauffeur's sigh as he stepped out of the car in his ironed private school uniform.

His eyes lit up as he looked around at all the small shops and people roaming around the streets. He lightly chuckled at a little girl skipping while holding her father's hand before making his way deeper into the streets of Insadong. 

"Miss! Come back here!"

How did he even see me? He was bending down! Jinae shut her eyes and continued to run. 

Unfortunately, right when she opened her eyes, she bumped into someone and fell down. "Ow...." Jinae quickly got up and was about to run when she was yanked back. 

"Let go!" Jinae yelled and tried to get away but got pulled back again. She let out a frustrated sigh and spun around. She was surprised to see a handsome young man staring back at her, but that was the last thing on her mind. 

She looked down and gasped when she saw that her long hair was stuck on his button. She glanced at the cashier who was getting closer to them and struggled to get her hair off the button. 

Vernon was just as shocked to see a random girl suddenly stuck to him but thought it was rather fun. Seeing her panicking while a young man chased after her was not a sight he saw on a regular day, especially when he was always stuck in classes his mother put him in.

He saw the man getting closer and instead of running away with the strange girl, he wrapped his arm around her shoulder and pulled her close while smiling at the young man who was now standing, out of breathe, in front of them.

Jinae's eyes widened. What is he doing? 

"Miss," he stopped to catch his breathe and held something out in front of her. She flinched back. Her face fell when she saw her bracelet in his hand. "Your breacelet...you dropped it when you...walked out."

"...Thank you." Jinae took the bracelet. The young cashier bowed and ran back to his station behind the register. 

So I didn't get caught. Jinae smiled to herself but frowned when the random boy spoke up.

"Why were you running away?"

"Uh, can you let go first?"

Vernon looked at his arm and abruptly pulled away, his cheeks reddening from embarrassment. Jinae huffed and fixed her jacket only to have two bags fall out from under it. Her eyes widened as he stared at the bags.

"Did you...steal?"

Jinae looked at his face before her eyes trailed down to his uniform. She saw the logo and narrowed her eyes. Shinhwa High School for the elites, huh? 

"I don't think that's any of your business, so if you would please let go of my hair so I can go my way."

Vernon gawked at her. "I'm not the one holding you back! Why would I hold back a thief?" His face lit up.

"Actually," he picked up the bags and held her hand, earning a strange look from her. "Let's go back so you can apologize."

Jinae grew alarmed and yanked him back. "I'm not going back!"

"You have to!"

"Why do you even care?"

"Stealing is bad!"

The two of them kept going back and forth in the middle of the street with her hair stuck onto his uniform until she gave up. "Fine, but what will you do for me?"

"What do you mean? I'm making you do the right thing here. I don't owe you anything."

Jinae crossed her arms. "Then I'm not going."

Vernon sighed, "Alright. What do you want?"

Jinae opened to answer but her stomach spoke for her as it growled. She closed her eyes and shut before looking away in embarrassment. Vernon chuckled and grabbed her hand. 

"Deal."

Vernon ended up paying the cashier for the chips and ramen and giving the bags back while begging the young cashier not to report her. The cashier reluctantly agreed and let them go.

"What do you want to eat?"

Just hearing that question brought butterflies to her stomach as she giddily smiled. "I want-" Her smile disappeared when she realized that he was still holding her hand. She raised a brow and motioned toward their hands.

Vernon let go as his ears turned red.

Jinae cleared . "Let's go get some ddukboki."

"Ddukboki?"

Jinae looked at his face and gasped. "Have you never tried ddukboki?"

Vernon innocently shook his head.

"What about soondae?" Shake. "Boongubbang?" Shake. "Ramen?!" Shake.

Jinae shook her head this time and sighed. "You have a lot to learn, rich boy. But it's okay, because you're paying. Come on!"
