Sorry for the long wait!

Kai cradled his ten-month old baby in his arms as he walked into the hospital.

Today would be the day he introduced Jinae to their son, Donghae.

Ever since she gave birth to Donghae, Jinae's mind shut down and she was completely emotionless. The doctors assured Kai that she was just having regular symptoms of the baby blues. But as time passed by, Jinae started to talk about college again and called Kai her boyfriend instead of her husband.

And when Kai mentioned Donghae's name, she was completely lost. "Who's Donghae?" she would say everytime he brought their son up.

The doctors later revealed that her body and mind went into a shocked state and caused a light trauma to trigger her memory. Jinae forgot that they were married, forgot that she was a doctor, and forgot that she had a son.

Donghae squirmed in Kai's arms and giggled as he babbled, trying to say "daddy".

Kai showed him a loving smile. "You're going to see mommy soon. Are you excited?"

Donghae clapped his hands and squealed as if he understood what Kai said to him.

Kai opened the sliding door and stepped inside. Jinae was awake and reading her favorite series.

"Remember to take it slow. She's still in denial. It's going to take her a while to accept Donghae as her son." 

Kai took a deep breath before calling her name. Jinae looked up and she immediately brightened at the sight of the adorable baby in her boyfriend's arms.

"Who is he? He's absolutely adorable!" Jinae held her arms out and Kai carefully placed Donghae in her arms. Donghae looked up at her with big, round eyes and smiled. Jinae lightly pinched his nose and giggled when he played with her hair.

Kai couldn't help but grin from ear to ear as he saw his wife and son interact for the first time. His smile suddenly dropped when he remembered that she didn't know he was her son.

"What's his name?" "Donghae." Jinae stopped rocking Donghae in her arms. "Donghae?" She felt like she heard that name before. Kai held her hands and gently rubbed circles onto them.

"Jinae, honey. I know this is hard to believe, and that it's very sudden but...Donghae is your child."

Jinae's face visibly hardened. Kai grew wary but squeezed her hands affectionately and continued, "He's our son. We've been married for two-"

"Stop." Jinae's eyes stared off into the distance as her face grew pale. "Stop. No. No, you're wrong." Her eyes fixed on Kai as she glared at him. She shoved Donghae into his arms as tears filled her eyes.

She didn't know why she was about to cry. She didn't know why Kai kept on saying that this child was hers.

Kai never proposed to her. They were still college students at Yonsei University. They never had a child. This child wasn't hers. She was still twenty and studying to be a doctor. She-

Kai gently touched her arm. "Honey-"

Jinae smacked his hand away with big, teary eyes. "Stop!" Donghae started to cry and she started to scream.

Kai's jaw fell open. He didn't know what to do. A nurse ran inside after hearing the commotion and asked Kai to leave the room.

Kai looked at Jinae one more time before relucatantly stepping out. Kai sat down outside her ward and let out a heavy sigh. He looked at Donghae who had stopped crying and was now calling for his mommy.

Kai's lips formed into a small, sad smile as he wiped the remaining tears off of his son's cheeks. "Mommy's inside, baby. She's right here. And she loves you, no matter what. I know she loves you." And she'll definitely remember you soon.
