Yumi looked at the bucket that was between her and the two male celebrities and bit her lip.

The other couples were set: Hyungshik and Jihyun, and Minhyuk and Yewon.

All Yumi had to do now was pick a paper to determine who her sweetheart for the day.

There was a red scroll and a yellow scroll. Red it is. Yumi grabbed the red and unrolled it.

She didn't know if she should be happy or not. He's been avoiding her ever since the filming started and never acknowledged her presence. "Monsta X's I.M," she showed the camera.

Ken immediately walked over to Yuju who was the last girl left.

The staff took the bucket from her and read the instructions: "All the couples will pick a matching couple item to wear or have for the entire day and will each go on a date around the island."

Yumi looked at I.M who ignored her and walked over to the table with the items on it. Yumi frowned and walked over to look at the couple items. There were matching phone keychains, bracelets, phone cases, rings, and shirts. The three other couples picked first. The only ones left were the rings and shirts.

Yumi beamed at the prettty striped blue shirts. "Let's do thi-" I.M picked up the gold and silver rings before handing her the silver one and putting the gold one on himself. Yumi's frown deepened as she watched him walk out of the field, behind the cameras.

She looked at Hyungshik who was smiling and putting the bracelet on Jihyun's wrist in jealousy. I wish he put the ring on me. Yumi put the ring on her ring finger and jogged after I.M.

Yumi and I.M's date place was the beach which was the location she wanted. Her ideal date was to walk on the shore, holding hands with her loving boyfriend. Unfortunately, my date isn't very loving and would never hold my hand. 

Yumi walked up behind I.M and hugged his arm. He was startled and grew stiff at her touch. He avoided eye contact and continued to walk. Yumi scowled under her breath, At least pretend to like me! We're on a variety show for Christ's sake. Why'd you even come out?! 

Yumi's scowl disappeared when she saw a dog running around in the sand. "He's so cute!"

I.M's eye widened, Who's cute? Another guy?! He followed her gaze and relaxed when he saw the dog running toward them. Yumi crouched down and pet his head as he wagged his tail. "Isn't he so cute?"

I.M just shortly nodded and pet the dog's head once before sitting on the sand and looking at the waves. Psh, of course he doesn't like dogs. A person as cold as him probably hates all cute things. Yumi ignored I.M and continued to play with the dog. The owner soon came and took him away.

Yumi decided to feel the water and walked to the shallow end. The water swayed under her around her ankles. I.M was still on the sand, blankly staring at her. Yumi huffed and took her phone out to take pictures of herself to post on her SNS. She angled it and posed.

Too busy taking pictures, she didn't notice the big wave coming her way. I.M suddenly came into her shot from behind, making her gasp. "What the- Ah!" Yumi yelped and grabbed onto I.M's neck when he scopped her up and carried her bridal style.

She gawked at him, "What are you doing?" She looked down and noticed his clothes were wet. "Weren't you just sitting-" Yumi looked back at the ocean and saw a big wave coming their way. Was a wave about to hit me? Did he... "Did you protect me from getting wet?" she whispered.

I.M didn't answer and carried her with water dripping down the back of his clothes.

They walked back to the field. I.M went to change clothes. The filming was over for the day and the couples had to return the couple accessories. Yumi finished her individual interview and walked back to the dorm house. She did a double take as she passed by the table with the items on it.

All the accessories were there except- The rings. I'm pretty sure I put mine back. Yumi shrugged and went to wash up. Night fell and the house was quiet.

Yumi twisted and turned in her bed. A certain scene of someone sweeping her off her feet replayed in her head. She finally gave up on sleep and walked outside to get some fresh air.

She saw someone pacing around next to the outside fireplace. As she walked closer, she heard the person saying something. "...so be my girl. No, no that's weird. I like you a lot. Do you want to be my girlfriend?" The figure sighed and ran his fingers through his hair.

I.M took a deep breath and rehearsed again. "Yumi, I-"

"Yes?" He jumped and almost fell on his when her heard her voice. He spun around, "Y-Yumi. What are you doing out here?"

"I should be asking you the same thing. It's late. You should go to sleep." Yumi turned around to go back inside.

"Yumi, wait!" She stopped and turned around. "I have something to tell you."

Yumi crossed her arms, "If you're going to apologize for being so cold to me earlier-"

"I was cold to you? When?" Yumi gawked at him. "When? Uh, when you ignored me and didn't listen to a word I said. When you picked me u-" She blushed.

"I wasn't trying to be cold. It's kind of hard to look at someone as pretty as you." Yumi's blush deepened at his comment.

"And how am I supposed to function properly when I'm on a date with the girl I like?"

"Y-You like me?" I.M stepped closer and took out the couple rings from his pocket. She stared at the rings with wide eyes. "You took the rings?"

"I like you, Yumi. Will you be my girlfriend? I'll take you on a better, real date next time." He put the silver ring on her finger and smiled.

"Don't go to any of the other guys tomorrow or the day after or until the filming for The Romantic and Idol ends. You're mine now." I.M squeezed her hands and kissed her forehead. He smiled. "Sweet dreams."
