"Park Yoomi, I like you.. ever since we met a year ago through Jr. I wanted to get to know you better, and now here I am asking you to be my girlfriend."
With a shocked look on her face mixed a bit of discomfort, Yoomi ran away without a single word.

Frustrated, Mark leaned onto his desk and messed with his hair.
I knew it, I shouldn't have confessed. Why would a perfect girl like Yoomi like me... Freaking Jr. telling me I should because she like me back. I should've known it was a joke. I just ruined everything.

At that moment Jr. walked into the classroom.

"Yo Mark! How'd the confession go? Is MarkMi official now?" He asked with a grin on his face.

Glaring at his friend Mark just simply ignored him. "Hey what's up? Why aren't you talking?"

Outraged at how far he was taking this joke Mark stood up to face Jr.

"Are you serious? Is it fun making fun of me like that? I was serious about Yoomi but now because of the lies you fed me, I don't even know if she'll be comfortable being friends with me anymore!"

By this point Mark was shouting words of anger and it was a relief the classroom was empty.

"Woah woah woah hold up! Lies? I never told you any lies!"

"You said that Yoomi had feelings for me too!"

"She does! Why do you think would I lie about that?"

"The moment I confessed to her yesterday, she ran away from me like I had a plague. Now she didn't even come to school today, probably to avoid me."

"What? That doesn't make any sense. I swear she would call me up every night and blabber on about 'Mark this Mark that'."

"Stop it Jr. it's not funny." And with that Mark left the classroom.

Confused at the situation Jr. decided to ring up Yoomi before class would start.

Lunch came and Jr. spotted Mark walking towards the cafeteria and called out to him.

Seeing the owner of the voice Mark simply began to walk faster.

"Mark! Wait up man!"

"What do you want?" Mark snapped at Jr.

"Hey chill. I just wanted to tell you that Yoomi's sick. I called her and she asked me to bring you with me to visit her after school. She wants to talk to you."

"Forget it man. You don't have to make up more lies to make me feel better."

“I'm not lying! She really is sick-"

"I said forget it." And he walked away to their friends waiting at their table, leaving Jr. even more frustrated than ever.

On his way to his part time job, Mark fell into a deep thought.

How am I supposed to face Yoomi now. She'll probably be too uncomfortable and won't even want to see me. Well, there goes my first love.

"Mark!" Hearing a familiar voice calling his name broke him out of his thoughts. He looked up to see Yoomi waving her hand at him from the other side of the street.

Mark began to panic. Oh no. I know she's gonna reject me but I need more time to prepare for it.

Quickly he turned around and walked the other direction.

"Mark! Mark wait up!" He sped up his footsteps only to slow down after hearing voices of worry behind him.

"Young lady are you okay?"

"What's wrong with her?"

"Somebody call 911!"

Mark turned around to see Yoomi passed out on the ground.

Filled with worry and fear, Mark rushed towards Yoomi's limp body and held her in his arms.

"Yoomi? Yoomi? What's wrong? Open your eyes!"

Feeling her forehead he was shocked at how hot it felt. she really is sick.

Lifting her up he asked a passerby to wave a taxi for him.

He gently placed Yoomi onto the seat of the taxi and took a seat next to her.

Muttering a quick thanks to the man that helped him, he told the taxi driver the address of Yoomi's house.

Arriving at her house, he got out and headed towards the gate and rung the bell.

The maid knowing who Mark is, let him in without question.

After requesting for one of the maids to call Yoomi's family doctor, he headed to her room.

There he found Jr. pacing back and forth in worry.

He walked passed him and placed Yoomi into her bed and tucked her in.

At the arrival of the family doctor, Mark and Jr. stepped out of the room.

"I'm sorry for not believing you when you said she was sick."

"Naw man. Although I am a bit mad at you for making my bestfriend rush out in that state to see you, that's her fault for being so reckless. And besides after hearing what happened yesterday I can see why you had a misunderstanding."

At that moment the family doctor, who is also Jr.'s older brother, came out of the room.

"Yoomi's fine, she just needs a lot of rest."

"Thanks hyung. Let's go now we'll be late for the family reunion. Mark's here so he'll take care of Yoomi. Right?"

"Right." Mark nodded.

"And as for the misunderstanding, I'll let Yoomi explain herself. We'll see you later Mark."

Yoomi slowly regained consciousness and took in her surroundings. I'm home. The last thing I remember is chasing after Mark and then everything turned black- Mark!

At the thought Yoomi sat up only to find the person in her thoughts, sitting in a chair with his upper half lying on her bed asleep.

She softened at the sight. He brought me here and didn't leave me.

She began to run her fingers through his hair only to stop at Mark stirring awake.

He slowly sat up rubbing his eyes. "Yoomi you're awake." Yoomi's awake.

Mark's eyes widened at the realization as he got up to leave.

"Wait!" Mark paused.

"I wanted to talk to you... about yesterday."

"I-It's okay I can wait until you get better. For now just rest."

"No! I-I need to clear this misunderstanding now."

He turned around. "Misunderstanding?"

"And besides after hearing what happened yesterday I can see why you had a misunderstanding."

Curious, Mark sat back down on the chair. "What misunderstanding?"

With pink tinting her cheeks, Yoomi opened but couldn't get any words out. "I-I yesterday..."

"Hey you know, you should confess to Yoomi." Jr. said to Mark.

"What! W-why are you saying that all of a sudden?" Mark questioned, taken aback.

"What? Hyung you like Yoomi noona?" BamBam questioned.

"Dude you're so slow. I thought everyone knew except for Yoomi noona." Yugyeom commented.

"What! I didn't know either! Mark! How come you don't tell me these things??" Jackson complained.

"You four shut up and let Jr. talk." JB said slightly annoyed.

"But I didn't even say anything..." Youngjae pouted.

"Anyways,Yoomi has liked you for quite a bit now. I was hoping something would happen without me interfering but neither of you are making a move so I'm just helping."

Mark looked unsure. "Are you serious?"

"100% serious."

You better be Jr. or else I'll be embarrassing myself twice.

"Yoomi"

"Huh?"

"What I said yesterday, I'll say it again. I like you... a lot. And I want you to be my girlfriend. And I know you ran off yesterday without a word, and I should probably assume you don't feel the same way as I do... but I want to hear an answer from you. Even if I get rejected I'd like to hear it directly from you-"

"Yes." Yoomi smiled.

"Okay I understand I'll leave now- wait what?"

Giggling, at Mark she repeats, "Yes. Yes I will be your girlfriend."

"Really?"

Yoomie chuckled. "Yes."

"But didn't you run away yesterday? Wasn't that because-"

Yoomi sighed. "I felt like throwing up and I didn't want to vomit in front of you so I ran away."

"Oh."

"Mhm."

"So you'll really be my girlfriend?" His eyes lit up with hope.

"Yes Mark. Yes I will."T

hey gazed into each others eyes with a content smile on their faces, thankful their feelings had been reciprocated.

Then suddenly Mark remembered something from earlier that day.

"What? That doesn't make any sense. I swear she would call me up every night and blabber on about 'Mark this Mark that'."

"So I hear you talk about me every night to Jr." Mark stated with a sly grin.

Embarrassed Yoomi turned a bright shade of red. "That Jr.! He wasn't supposed to tell you that!"

And she covered her face with her blanket.

Laughing Mark brought the blanket down. "Let me go get you some water and something to eat. I'll be right back."

"Okay."

After watching Mark leave her room, Yoomi laid back on her bed and smiled blissfully looking forward to the days that she would now spend as Mark's girlfriend.
