This is the sequel to chapter 224!

Suga hummed to himself as the fansign started.

BTS just released their second full album titled WINGS and he was excited. Yes, excited to release new songs that he produced but more because he would be able to see his favorite person again. The person who always brightened up his mood just by the thought of her.

He smiled when he saw her walking up the stage. “You made it!”

Christine smiled, “Of course I did. I would never miss a chance to see my favorite person.”

Suga’s heart skipped a beat. That’s exactly how I feel about you.

Suga cleared his throat and opened up the album. “Do you like our new songs?”

“Yes!” Christine beamed. “I love track number 4.”

“Why?”

“Because you made it.”

Suga stopped mid-sign and looked at her. She grinned at him, making his heart flutter. Why are you doing this to me?

“Oh yeah! I brought something for you.” Christine rummaged through her bag and pulled out a thick, plain gold ring.

“Tadah! I bought one for you and Jimin but I remembered to give it to you first this time so you don’t go all mad on him again,” she teased.

Suga lowered his head in embarrassment. “Just forget about that.”

“How can I? That’s the reason I got you two these rings, so you can stop fighting. It can be like a friendship ring.”

Suga took the ring and frowned. “Why do you always make me match with him?”

Christine shrugged. "I actually don’t know. Then do you want someone else? Jhope? Rapmon? Jungkook?”

“You. I want you.”

Christine’s breath hitched and she was speechless. Suga looked into her eyes. Christine tried to search his eyes to see if he was joking or not.

“Please move the forward.” A staff member interrupted their eye contact and Christine half reluctantly and half thankfully moved to Jin who greeted her warmly.

Suga stared at her for a second longer before turning his attention to the next fan. Was I too straightforward?

Christine moved on from V to Jimin. “Hey,  Christine.”

“You know my name?”

Jimin nodded, “Suga hyung told me.”

At the mention of his name, Christine frowned.

Jimin talked as he signed, “You know, he talks about you a lot.”

When he was done signing, she took the album and hurriedly walked off the stage. “I should go.”

Jimin looked at her run away and frowned. “Did I say something wrong?” He shrugged before smiling at the next fan.

Christine ran down the stage and her legs gave out on her. She sat on the ground and held her fast beating heart. I shouldn’t fall for him. I can’t like a celebrity.

After she calmed down, she got up and sulked home.

Suga tapped his pen on his chin and scanned the crowd. The second fan meeting for their comeback was almost over and Christine still wasn’t there.

Jimin leaned over and whispered, “Is she not coming today?”

Suga didn’t answer and frowned while looking at the fans again. Is it because of what I said?

For the next couple events, Christine didn’t show up.

Suga couldn’t take it anymore and wore his hat and mask before heading outside.

“Woah, hyung where are you going?”

Suga looked back at Jimin. “Don’t wait up for me.” He walked out before Jimin could interrogate him further. He walked three blocks down to the bookstore that Christine told him she worked at.

Suga walked in and let the air of the heater warm him up.

“Sorry, we’re closed.” Suga turned to the familiar voice and smiled in relief.

Christine was putting the books away. He walked over and started to help her. She gave him a look of suspicion as he continued to put the books where it belonged. “Um, sir-”

“Why didn’t you come today?” His voice was low.

Christine furrowed her brows in confusion.

“Or two days ago, and the day before that.” He slowly pulled his mask off, making her gasp.

“S-Suga. What are yo-”

“Is it because of what I said when you gave me the rings? If it is, then I’ll take it back.”

Christine opened but decided not to say anything and frowned.

“I just want to see you again. If I knew you’d run away like that, I would’ve never said that.”

“I just needed time…”

“Time?”

“Time to forget about what you said.”

Bang, right on his heart. “So it was because of what I said. Then let’s pretend like it never happened.”

“How can I when I feel that same?” Her voice started cracking as tears formed in her eyes. “I feel the same but…but you’re an idol and I’m just an ordinary girl. We can’t date. The only way we should meet is as a celebrity and fan, nothing more.”

“Christi-”

“Please don’t come here again.” She squeezed past him to put the rest of the books back when she was turned around.

“I don’t care.” Suga spun her around by her waist and put his other hand on her back, pulling her in for a kiss. She froze with wide eyes, but he was the opposite. His eyes were closed and he tilted his head to deepen the kiss.

Christine found her eyes slowly closing and responding. Just for tonight, right now, I’ll pretend that you’re not a celebrity and I’m not a fan. Just for tonight.
