Jung Jinae entered the training room after finishing her afternoon classes.

She changed into a more comfortable attire and walked out of the changing room.

She smiled when she saw her best friend watming up. "Mark!"

Mark looked up from the ground and smiled back. "Ready to get started?"

Jinae nodded and walked over.

Mark was her best friend, but also her martial arts trainer for the upcoming competition against Mystic High.

Jinae kicked and jumped like how Mark taught her to.

"You're getting better everyday."

Jinae smirked, "I do have the best teacher of all of Victory High."

Mark laughed. "Ready to learn another?"

Jinae eagerly nodded. "Alright. Now watch."

Jinae gawked at him as he flipped in the air and landed perfectly on the mat.

"I can't do that."

Mark gave her a look, "You won'e know without trying. It's okay. I'll be right here to guide you."

Jinae took a deep breath and jumped.

After many failed tries, Jinae huffed and sat down. "I told you I can't do it."

Mark frowned and walked over. "Don't say that. I'm sure you'll be able to do it if you keep trying. You're Jung Jinae. And she can do anything."

Jinae thankfully smiled at those words he told her ever since she fell off the monkey bars when they were little.

He held out his hand and she gladly took it and stood up.

"I can do this." Jinae ran and jumped in the air.

She screamed when she felt her body falling toward the floor again.

"Whoa!" Mark's refelexes kicked in and he ran over to catch her fall.

Before he could, her foot landed on the floor, twisting as she fell into his arms.

Both of their breaths were heavy as they stared into each other's eyes.

Mark gulped as he felt his heartbeat racing faster. And there my heart goes again. 

Jinae just blinked up at him. Why am I not breathing? Jinae, breathe! 

Mark's eyes trailed down to her lips and he unconsciously his. Maybe I can...maybe this time. 

Mark started to lean in, causing Jinae's mind to go crazy. Is he...? 

Jinae gulped and closed her eyes while soflty puckering her lips.

Right when she could feel his breaths hitting her face, a jolt of pain shot up her leg.

"Ow!" Jinae fell out of his arms and hit the mat.

Mark's eyes widened as he processed what just happened. 

Jinae held her ankle in pain. Mark bent down and looked at it.

She winced when he touched it and frowned. "I think it's sprained."

Jinae rolled her eyes, "No, duh."

Mark looked up and made eye contact with her again.

Both of their faces grew hot as blush crept up their cheeks.

Mark looked away first and cleared his throat. "I'll call Jacks-"

The door opened and two boys walked in, chatting loudly.

Jaebum looked at the two of them and raised a brow at them. "What happened? Why are you gusy both red?"

Jinae cupped her cheeks as Mark looked away.

His eyes trailed to her ankle, "Jinae, did you hurt your ankle?"

Jackson loudly gasped at the mention of her ankle that was turning slightly purple by the second.

"My Jinnie! What happened? You have to go to the hospital, come on." Jackson carried her on his back and ran out the door.

Jaebum looked at Mark again and smirked, "Dude. Your face is as red as a tomato."

Mark's hands flew up to his face.

Jaebum chuckled and clucked his tongue, "This is why I don't fall for my best friend."
