Jenna couldn't believe herself. She had been conning single and wealthy young men for as long as she could remember and never had she actually felt anything toward them. But this time, it was different. Whenever she saw his handsome face, her heart raced and she longed to see it again. Her heart skipped a beat whenever he called her name with his soothing, deep voice.

Jenna sighed and sprawled her limbs on the bed. She was supposed to meet him again tonight. And for the first time, she didn't want to. Jenna knew that she was falling for him, and she had to stop before she fell more.

The phone suddenly rang, startling her. She shot up from the bed when she read the caller ID. "H-Hello?" She heard him smile from the other line. "Hey, Jenna."

She rolled her eyes. There goes my heart again. Jenna cleared , "Hi, Changjo."

"I finished work early today, so I'll come pick you up in about thirty minutes. Only if thats okay with you." Jenna softened at his voice. He's always so caring. "Sure. I'll be waiting."

She hang up and looked at the vanity at the other side of the room. Various exive make up brands, jewelry, and perfumes were all lined up, organized. She frowned at all the gifts she got from him throughout their six months together. You're supposed to be happy about this, Jenna. 

"But I'm not." 

Jenna waited outside, wearing a knit turtleneck and plain jeans. A white ferrari pulled up in the driveway. Changjo rushed out of the car and took off his jacket.

Before she could greet him, Changjo wrapped the long coat around her shoulders. "You could've just waited inside! I don't want you catching a cold." He furrowed his brows and rubbed her arms that were now covered with his coat.

Jenna softened at his worrying face. What did I do to deserve you? 

Once they were inside the car, Changjo turned the heater on to warm her up. "Where are we going?" Changjo smirked, "Just wait. It's a surprise."

Jenna's jaw dropped when she faced the five star restaurant. "Changjo-"

"Come on." He grabbed her hand and led her inside to a table that was decorated with candles and flowers. He pulled the chair out for her. She smiled and sat down, glancing at the surroundings. Everything overwhelmed her. The fact that no one was inside shocked her even more.

The waiter brought out wine and poured it for them. Changjo smiled and told her the good news. "I got promoted." Jenna gasped and genuinely smiled, feeling happy for him. "That's great!"

He laughed and swirled his wine glass around. "I'm just one step closer to becoming president of the company. Once I get past this stage, my father will officially hand the company down to me." His smile slowly disappeared at the thought of becoming president.

Jenna put her hand over his on the table, squeezing it affectionately. "Don't worry. You'll do great. I mean, you're Changjo! And I know that he can do anything." Changjo smiled and squeezed back, "Thanks, Jenna. I love you." He blurted out.

Jenna's eyes widened at the sudden confession but he picked up the menu as if nothing happened and asked her what she wanted. She quickly recovered from her shocked state, waving it off. Maybe I heard wrong. 

After the meal, dessert arrived. Changjo uneasily glanced at her and cleared his throat. "Actually, there's another reason why I borrowed this place."

"Hm?" Jenna looked up from the ice cream with the spoon still in . Changjo chuckled at her adorable nature. "I've been meaning to ask you this for a while." Jenna set her spoon down, completely oblivious to what was happening. "What is it?" She noticed that he looked nervous. Is he going to break up with me? 

Secretly, Jenna was hoping for him to end this relationship. She didn't want to lie and hurt him anymore. Unfortunately, he did the exact opposite.

"Jenna. I really like you. Enough to say that I love you." Her breath hitched at his abrupt confession. "I know we've only been together for six months, but I decided that I want to spend my whole life with you. You make me genuinely laugh and happy whenever I'm stressed with work. At the end of the day, I always can't wait to see you again." He paused before getting up from his seat and slowly walking towards her.

"At the end of the day, I want to come home to you and your beautiful smile." He bent down on one knee and opened a small velvet box, revealing a ring with a diamond on top.

"Jenna Lee, will you marry me?"

Jenna opened but couldn't form any words. Changjo hopefully smiled at her, seraching her eyes.

"I-I..." She took a deep breath and closed her eyes. "I can't."

Changjo's jaw dropped. "Wha-" He scoffed, "Why not? There must be a reaso-"

"The reason is that I never loved you, Changjo." Jenna finally opened her eyes and stared straight into his. "I never liked you. And I never will. Don't you know that I was just playing with you for the money?" Changjo stumbled back and fell back onto the floor. Before he could witness her crying, Jenna got up and left the restaurant, tears running down her face.

She would never forget the look on his face. He looked mad, confused, sad. But most of all, he looked disappointed. I'm sorry, Changjo. I don't deserve someone like you. Jenna sobbed and ran out of the restaurant but was stopped by someone hugging her from behind. She smelt a whiff of a familiar cologne she could remember anywhere. 

Changjo buried his face into her neck. She could feel his tears wetting her hair and cried even more. "You're lying. I know you're lying. You're in love with me too. I can tell when I look into your eyes." Jenna shut her eyes and huffed. He was right. She did love him.

Changjo tightened his arms around her and breathed in her scent. "I don't care if everything you said back there is true. I still love you. So don't leave me, Jenna." Jenna held onto his arms and let her tears fall down onto her hands. 

I won't. I won't ever leave you, Changjo.
