Partner: Exo's Xiumin

Minah beamed and skipped along the small street. She hadn't seen Xiumin in two weeks because of finals and studying, and now she was finally on break.

"I wonder if he ate dinner already." Minah shrugged and swung the plastic bag around. She had stopped by the mart to buy groceries to make him his favorite dish: kimchi stew.

Minah hummed and turned the corner. She dropped the bag when she saw a figure crouching on the wall, blood and wounds covering his body.

"Xiumin!" She ran to him, forgeting about the groceries. Minah bent down and lifted his face up.

"Oppa..." fell open when she saw his bloody face.

Xiumin winced when she touched his face. He grasped her hand and pulled it down, holding it in his. "Hey." He squeezed her hand and gave her a bitter smile.

Minah huffed and helped him up. "Let's get you inside, come on." Xiumin tried to take a step but winced in pain. "Ah.." He fell onto the floor, holding onto his side.

"Oppa!" Minah used all her strength to carry him inside. She quickly searched the bathroom cabinets for the emergency kit. She came back and frowned when she saw Xiumin lying down on the couch, groaning.

She helped him up and opened the kit. She carefully dabbed his wound with cotton. She couldn't help but wince at the open wounds on his face and sighed.

Xiumin gazed down at her face that was up close to his. His heart softened at her concerned face. He reached up to touch her face with his hands, now red with dried blood. 

Minah furrowed her brows and paused her treatment. "Is there something on my face?"

Xiumin shook his head and suddenly pulled her close to his body. He rested his head on her shoulder and sighed, "You're so warm."

Minah frowned but hugged his neck, not caring if any blood got on her. After she cleaned his face, Minah lifted up his shirt and winced when she saw the big gash on his side.

"It's okay. It doesn't hurt." Xiumin tried to reassure her but failed. Minah scoffed and hit his back, causing him to jump in pain. "Stop lying."

She gently wrapped his back with a bandage. "Did they do this to you?"

Xiumin's breath hitched. Minah hesitated, "Did...Did Yongguk and them do this to you?"

She sighed when he didn't deny. She turned him around and scolded, "I told you to stop working for them."

"You know I can't-"

"Yes you can. You can leave them anytime." He opened his mouth to reason but she stopped him. "And don't make an excuse saying that you're doing this for me."

Xiumin looked down at his hands. "I work now, oppa. I'll get my paycheck soon and pay them back soon. So you don't have to do this anymore."

Minah cupped his face and searched his eyes. "I don't want you to do this. I can't stand seeing you get hurt anymore." Her eyes teared up.

Xiumin knew that she didn't like him doing this, but he had no choice. He signed a contract at the beginning of the year but he didn't tell her that. Instead, he leaned in and kissed her. They kissed until they were out of breath.

All he could do was apologize while hugging her. "I'll stop."

Minah finally smiled, believing his words. She pulled back and stood up. "Now, how about ramen? I dropped my groceries outside." She rubbed the back of her neck and smiled. "You must be hungry. Hold on. I'll make you the best ramen ever!"

She jogged to the kitchen, leaving Xiumin alone in the living room. He sighed and rested his elbows on his knees. 

I'm sorry, Minah-yah. Although I can't get out right at this moment, I'll fight hard to prevent you from seeing me hurt again.
