Sorry for the wait! Enjoy~
Ken plodded toward the kitchen to get a glass of water. He just came back from the studio after a long day. His upcoming collaboration had took a toll on him and his sleeping schedule. He was actually home earlier than usual, due to Hakyeon’s nagging that he should go home and rest. Secretly glad that he could sleep, Ken walked toward the bedroom he shared with Hanna and plopped down onto the bed.
He was on the verge of falling asleep when he heard the front door open. “Jaehwan?” Hanna’s sweet voice rang through the small apartment. He quickly jumped out of the bed and walked out to the living room. “Hey, honey.”
Hanna put her bag down on the couch and walked over to him. “I thought you’d come home late again today so I didn’t buy ingredients for dinner.” She frowned. “Oh, I know. I’ll just quickly run to the store and come back in ten minutes.” Ken shook his head. “It’s fine. We can just eat leftovers.”
He ruffled her hair before touching her face. “I missed you.” Hanna blushed and smiled back. “I missed you too.” She gasped and clapped her hands together, indicating that she thought of a great idea. “Why don’t we eat out tonight? And then we can go to the dock to watch the stars like old times.”
Ken inwardly sighed but quickly put a smile on his face. “Sounds good. Just let me get dressed. We can go to your favorite restaurant down the street.” Hanna beamed and nodded before going to change herself.
They arrived at the restaurant and sat down at their usual spot. The waiter came and didn’t even bother giving them the menus. “The usual?” Smiling, they both nodded and waited for their meal. Over dinner, the two talked about everything. Old memories, things going on at work, and what to do in the future. “And maybe, when you’re done with the album, we can go on a trip to Jeju to celebrate.” Ken immediately agreed, “And we can stop by to visit your parents while we’re there.”
After dinner, they held hands and took their time walking to the pier nearby. Running onto the dock, Hanna spread her arms out and took in a deep breath. “The air feels so nice here.” Ken came behind her and took in a deep breath as well. “You’re right. All my stress is gone now.” Hanna quickly turned around with a worried expression. “You were stressed?”
Ken looked away denying, trying to hide his face. She cupped his cheeks and made him face her again. “Now that I look at it, you look really tired, Jaehwan.” She frowned with a guilty look on her face. “I shouldn’t have suggested we go out. You should’ve just rested at home.”
Ken shook his head. “It’s alright. I’m all awake now. And I’d rather be here with you than at home sleeping.” He gave her an assuring smile and grabbed her hand.
“Look.” He pointed up to the sky. “The stars are so pretty today.” Hanna looked up at the bright sky and smiled. “They are.”
“Just like you.” He gave her a sly look that made Hanna laugh out loud. “You never fail to make me laugh, Jaehwan. Even when you’re tired.” She took both of his hands and pulled him toward her. “You know what?”
He raised his brows, telling her to go on. “Let’s just stay in tomorrow. I’ll make you your favorite spaghetti with sausages and we can have a movie marathon. I’m sure Hakyeon won’t mind.”
“Who cares about what Hakyeon says? I’m going to stay even if he says no.” Laughing, they hugged each other for a long time before going down to the shore to look at the stars.
