I hope you like it!
A baby's cry rang through the house.
Joshua's eyebrows furrowed and he softly groaned and chose to ignore it, only because he knew Serin always woke up to take care of the situation.
Serin was always a morning person while Joshua could sleep for days.
However, the crying still went on and Joshua felt like his ears would explode any second.
He looked at Serin's still body and sighed, I guess it's on me this time.
He walked to the twins' bedroom and picked up his one year old baby girl.
"Suah, why are you crying? Did you poo?"
He smelled her diaper and frowned. "No. Are you hungry? It's only seven in the morning. Mommy isn't even up yet."
Suah stopped crying. "Mommy?"
Joshua softly smiled. "Yes, mommy is still sleeping so we have to be quiet. Shhh." He put his index finger to his lips.
Suah copied, making Joshua chuckle. Suah beamed at him with her tongue slightly sticking out of .
He set her down and picked up Seolah who was staring up at him with big eyes. "You're up too? Yeah, I would be if my sister was crying like that."
Joshua kissed her cheek and set her down next to Suah. "Go to sleep. When you wake up, we can eat pancakes and play with mommy."
The girls obliged and fell asleep quickly, anticipating the pancakes they'd eat an hour later.
Joshua crawled back into bed and wrapped his arm around Serin's waist. He furrowed his brows when he felt her wet back. He lifted the covers and gasped to see that she was sweating and shivering at the same time.
"Jagiya." He gently shook her but she didn't respond.
Joshua acted quick and got water and a small towel to place on her forehead. He spent the next hour doing so until it was time for breakfast.
"Where's mommy?" Suah asked, dripping syrup down her chin.
Joshua wiped her chin with a napkin and fed Seolah. "She's sleeping."
Seolah frowned, "Sick?"
Joshua chuckled and patted her head. "She's just tired."
Seolah nodded and took the fork from him to try eating on her own.
Joshua sat on the couch as the girls played with their legos and dolls.
It's a good thing I'm good with children. If I wasn't...
Joshua visibly shuddered at the thought of helping S.coups when he had to take care of his triplets while his wife went on a business trip. S.coups was a complete mess.
Joshua got up and walked into the bedroom and sat by Serin's side. He touched her forehead and smiled in relief.
"Hurry up and wake up. Our girls are waiting for you," he whispered and walked out after kissing her forehead.
Serin didn't wake up until dinner time. She wrapped her cardigan around her body and walked out to the smell of kimchi fried rice.
"Mommy!" The girls dropped their toys and ran up to her.
Joshua put his spatula down and hurried out of the kitchen. "Good morning."
Serin chuckled, "Good morning. I feel like crap."
Joshua gasped and quickly covered the girls' ears. "Don't say crap."
"At least I didn't say ."
Joshua glared at her and pushed the girls to the kitchen.
Serin rolled her eyes and laughed while following them.
