Johwa skipped onto the bus and took a seat next to the window. She hummed along to the song that was playing on the radio and drummed her fingers onto her purse. She was in a good mood today.

Shownu was taking her out for their first date which was her first date. Ever. Johwa was nervous but excited.

She got a message from Shownu asking where she was. Johwa beamed and eagerly texted back that she was on her way. She put her phone back in her bag and did a double take when she didn't see her wallet.

"I thought I put it in here after I..." She closed her eyes and sighed. "...put it on my desk. It's okay. The boy usually pays on the first date, right?"

Johwa got off the bus and happily walked to the front of the theater. She saw a man with broad shoulders and brown short hair and knew it was him. "Shownu!"

He turned around and smiled. "Ready?" Johwa nodded and they walked inside.

"What do you want?" Johwa looked at the menu. "Mmm. I don't know, there are so many things I like here." started to water at all the snacks and candy that was out for display.

Shownu chuckled. "Can we get a large popcorn, two slushies, and a candy bar?" The worker put the food on the counter. "That will be $14.76."

In the midst of taking out his wallet, Shownu saw Johwa hungrily eyeing the bag of chips and chocolate bars while her lips. "Can I add the doritos and snickers bar?" "Of course. $20.98."

Johwa's jaw dropped at the price. She grabbed his sleeve. "Isn't that expensive? You can take out the candy and chocolate bar. I don't want it."

Shownu gently pushed her hand away and squeezed it. "I know you want it. Your eyes say it all." Johwa bit her lip and looked down. "It's okay. I have enough money." Shownu paid and they carried all the food to the line to buy their tickets to see the new thriller movie.

Johwa jumped up and down as they got closer to the front. "I can't wait to watch it!" Shownu smiled at how cute she looked with her ponytail bouncing up and down with her.

"Two tickets please." "That will be $22.50." Shownu visibly paled when he looked inside his wallet.

Johwa furrowed her brows. "What's wrong?" "I don't have enough money." Johwa gawked at him. "Really?"

"I'm five dollars short. Do you...?" Johwa frowned and shook her head. "I forgot it at home. Maybe we can return the snacks!" Shownu grabbed her arm. "No refunds."

"Than I'll just run home and get my wallet." "I have another idea." Johwa cocked her head to the side as he bit his lip and hesitantly said, "We can go to my house and watch Shutter Island. You said it was your favorite movie." 

Yeah, but it's at your house. It's our first date! Is that even legal? 

Shownu saw her face and got a hint of what she was thinking about. "We'll just watch the movie while eating, nothing else."

Johwa bit her lip. She didn't want to miss her first date ever just because of stupid movie tickets. "Okay. Just movie and snacks."
