"Go hide in the closet." Suga ordered as Christine's father banged on her bedroom door. Christine shook her head and hugged his arm. "No, I'm not leaving you."

Suga glared at her. "Go. Now." The door knob rattled as her father tried to unlock it. "Just wait till I get in! You two are both dead!"

"Now!" Suga pushed Christine into the closet and shut the door right when the bedroom door opened. Her father sneered at him with an broken glass bottle in his hand. "You're dead."

The old man lunged forward while yelling. Suga expertly dodged and ran out of the room. I have to get him away from Christine. He ran down the hallway and looked back.

His eyes widened when he saw her father running toward him. They both fell and tumbled down the stairs. Suga hissed as he held his head that banged against the rails.

"You filthy piece of . You think you can run away from me?" Christine's father punched him, cutting Suga's lip. Suga hissed and glared up at him. The old man scoffed, "How dare you-"

Suga punched his jaw and kicked his stomach, sending him flying across the hallway, hitting the wall. The old man groaned as he felt the ground for his broken glass bottle. 

Before he could get back up, Suga pulled his collar and made him stand up. "You're the filthy bastard for beating your own daughter." Suga smirked, "It's a good thing I'm not your real son, so I can do this."

Suga punched his nose and repeatedly slammed his fist on his jaw. The old man groaned as Suga kicked his lower abdomen. He fell to the floor. Suga spat at him and was about to walk away when the old man hugged his ankle.

"You're not going anywhere. After your parents left you, I took you in! I raised you like my own son!" 

Suga scoffed and kicked him away. "Your own son? Bull."

Christine heard her father's grunts and winced as she carefully stepped out of the closet. She slowly made her way to the staircase and gasped when she heard another grunt of pain.

I hope Suga's okay. She stepped down one by one and bit her fingernail in anxiety, praying that Suga wasn't hurt. 

Suga was about to go up the staircase when he saw Christine coming down. "Christine," he smiled. His smile turned into an expression of confusion when Christine screamed his name.

The old man quietly got up with the bottle and raised his hand, aiming for Suga's head. Before Suga could process everything, he was pushed away. He looked back to see Christine collapse onto the ground with blood flowing from her forehead.

"Christine!" Suga tackled her father and punched him with no mercy. He pushed him one last time, making the man fall back and hit the back of his neck on the corner of a table.

Christine called Suga's name once before she went unconscious. The last thing she saw was her dad falling limp onto the floor.

Christine woke up and saw all white. She groaned and touched her head. She was surprised to feel a bandage wrapped around it. 

"She's awake!" A nurse suddenly came into view. "Are you alright? Do you see me?" Christine frowned and groaned. Where am I? "She's not answering, doctor!" 

Christine sat up and looked around. I'm at a hospital. What happ- Her eyes grew wide as the memories of last night entered her mind. "Suga!" 

She frantically looked around the room for a familiar boy with grey-colored hair. "Suga. Where's Suga?" She held onto a nurse next to her with wide eyes. "Did you see a boy with grey hair?"

The nurse shook her head and walked away. Christine felt tears rushing toward her eyes as her hands shook. "Suga...Suga."

The sound of the judge hitting the gavel three times echoed through the court. "Min Yoongi, you are sentenced ten years in prison for the murder of Kim Jaebum."

Christine shot up from her chair with the bandage still around her head. "He's innocent! He was just trying to protect me! He didn't do anything wrong! I'm the one at fault!" 

"Miss Kim, please sit down. The decision is already made." 

Christine panted and made eye contact with Suga who was wearing a worn out beige prison jumpsuit. He gave her a stern look.

A security guard made her take her seat as she huffed with teary eyes. "Suga..." 

Suga was led out of the court room with hand cuffs around his wrists. He looked back one more time and smiled before leaving. Christine's lips trembled as a tear ran down her face.

Don't worry, Suga. I'll try to get you out as soon as possible. I promise, she vowed before burying her face in her hands.

"Lawyer Kim, thank you so much!" A grandmother held Christine's hand and bowed at her in 90 degrees.

Christine gasped and bowed down and helped her stand back up straight. "Grandmother! Please, you don't have to." The grandmother gave her a wrapped up bundle of side dishes as a thank you.

"No, please. Take it. If it wasn't for you, my grandson would be locked up behind bars right now." The grandmother pet her grandson's head. The high school boy looked at Christine and bowed. "Thank you, Miss lawyer."

Christine grinned and patted his shoulder. "It's no big deal. I was just doing the right thing."

The two said goodbye before walking down the stairs to the parking lot. Christine sighed and looked at her watch. It's almost time. She smiled to herself and skipped down the stairs.

"Thank you, sir!" Christine walked to her car with a black bag of tofu and drove to Seodaemun Prison. 

She parked the car and slowly walked to the place she hadn't visited in a long time, her heels clicking on the black asphalt. Right before she reached the entrance, the green metal door squeaked open.

Christine halted and stared at the person's Adidas worn out shoes. Her eyes trailed all the way up from his ripped jeans to his grey beanie. A smile formed on her lips.

"Suga!" She ran up to the man and jumped on him, wrapping her arms and legs around him. Suga caught her and stumbled back while chuckling. "Happy to see me?"

Christine hopped off with teary eyes. "Of course I am, you idiot." Suga smiled and ruffled her hair. "Look at you, all dressed up."

Christine twirled around and posed, "Yup. I'm a lawyer, you know. I have to look professional everywhere I go." Suga's smile never left his face as he gazed at her. You're all grown up too.

"I kept my promise." Suga raised an eyebrow. "What promise?"

"I promised myself that I would get you out earlier because you did nothing wrong. So I became a lawyer and claimed you innocent."

"That's why-"

"You were able to come out in seven years! Aren't you proud of me?"

Suga lazily smiled, "Very."

"Ah! I have a present for you." Christine showed him the black plastic bag. "Tadah! Every person who comes out of the big house must eat this." She took the food out and showed him, making him scoff.

"Tofu?" Christine brightly smiled and Suga shook his head with a smile playing on his lips. 

"Are you married?"

Christine stopped walking and stared at him. "What? No."

"Do you have a boyfriend?"

"No."

Suga smugly grinned, "Okay." Christine furrowed her brows. "Why did you ask?"

"Just because." He bit into his tofu and got into her car before she could ask again.
