Jhope walked into the company building with a bright smile on his face, as usual. "Hi, Mrs. Kim!" He greeted the lady at the front desk who smiled back.
"Hello, Mr. Jung." Jhope pouted, "I told you you can just call me Hoseok."
Mrs. Kim laughed, "Have a good day, Mr. Hoseok." Jhope frowned but let it go for today. He would remind her tomorrow.
Jhope whistled and greeted all the workers as he made his way to the elevator.
A woman with big curves and long legs stood waiting for the elevator. Her black heels made her endless legs look even longer. Jhope tried not to stare for too long and waved with his signature smile. "Good morning, Miss Joyce!"
Joyce gave him one look and curtly bowed before staring forward again. Jhope frowned. She was a tough one to crack since day one.
The elevator dinged and opened. The two stepped inside and Jhope quickly pressed her floor and flashed a smile at her. Joyce cleared , acknowledging his actions, and stood straight and tall at the back corner of the small elevator.
Jhope glanced at her and gulped at her voluptuous curves. He quickly diverted his eyes to the door when she glared at him. He flashed a smile at her again and she rolled her eyes.
Suddenly, the elevator shook as the lights flickered. Jhope immediately screamed and grabbed the closest thing, or person, next to him. When the elevator stopped shaking and the lights came back on, Jhope stopped screaming and opened his eyes. His eyes darted around the small space until it landed on Joyce's that was glaring back at him.
He gulped in fear until he realized why she was glaring at him. His eyes trailed down to what was in front of him. His face was planted right onto her big chest and his arms were wrapped around her small waist. Jhope screamed and jumped back before fixing himself and standing up straight. "S-Sorry about that."
Joyce rolled her eyes and flipped her hair while taking a step away from him.
Jhope pressed the emergency button. "Help! Is anybody there? We're trapped in here! Help!" He sighed and gave up when no one answered.
Joyce began to look uneasy as her eyes rapidly looked around the elevator for a way out. The elevator suddenly shook again and the lights flickered off. Jhope furrowed his brows when he heard someone breathing heavily and unsteadily. "Miss Joyce?"
Joyce didn't answer but her breathing became even louder and more unsteady. The lights came back on and Jhope gasped when he saw Joyce hugging her knees in the corner, breathing heavily as her eyes watered.
He kneeled down and gently touched her arm. "Are you alright?"
Joyce's voice came out slightly strained as she kept her eyes on the floor. "I'm....claustrophobic." She inhaled deeply before breathing out.
Jhope internally panicked. He's never seen Joyce so unstable like this before. She was always so calm and collected but now...
Jhope took his jacket off and wrapped it around her and hugged her shoulders. He pulled her closer and frowned. She was trembling. Jhope gently rubbed circles on her arm to soothe her and clam her down. "Everything is going to be okay. Just take slow, deep breathes and count to hundred. People will come soon."
Joyce started to calm down but still had trouble breathing. Like a miracle, help came a minute later. The people pried the doors open and Jhope lifted Joyce so that she could leave first. Jhope got out and found Joyce sitting in the lobby with the jacket on her lap.
"Are you okay?" Joyce quickly stood up and handed him his jacket. "I am." She curtly said before turning around. She was back to her normal self on the outside, but Jhope could see her eyes shaking still.
Jhope was about to walk away when she called him. Joyce's eyes and voice was soft for a change as she smiled at him. "Thank you." Jhope smiled and saluted her, "No problem, Miss Joyce." Joyce nodded and shortly bowed before walking away.
"Are you alright, sir?" Jhope swatted the mens' hands away as he made his way to his father's office. "I'm alright."
The secretary handed him warm tea to calm him down but he rejected it. "Give it to Miss Joyce on the eleventh floor. She'll need it more than I do." The secretary bowed and was about to leave when he stopped her. "And tell her that it's from me." He said with a wink before walking into the president's office.
