I hope you like it! I tried to do angst like you requested~

"I'm sorry for you loss." A man patted Myungsoo's shoulder.

Myungsoo could only bow his head and let his tears fall to the ground.

How could she just leave him like this?

They promised each other a happily ever after, but now she was gone.

And he was dying without her by his side. 

It's all my fault. If only I walked you home, maybe you'd still be alive. I would do anything to bring you back, Seulyi. 

After the funeral ended, Myungsoo didn't bother going home. It would just remind him more of his dead girlfriend.

Myungsoo came across their favorite restaurant. He grew furious at the thought of the hit and run. He screamed and yelled with tears streaming down his face. People backed away and whispered that he was crazy. They quickly avoided him, thinking that he'd hurt them.

After he calmed down, Myungsoo mindlessly walked to the park they first met at. He touched the heart carved onto one of the trees. "I miss you so much."

"Do you want to see her again?"

Myungsoo spun around when he heard a rough voice behind him. He backed away, hitting the trunk of the tree when he saw the old, ragged woman standing in front of him. She smiled, showing her rotten teeth, "I can let you see her again, pretty boy."

Myungsoo sharply inhaled. The woman motioned him to follow her. She led him to an abandoned shop he never noticed at the end of the block and ushered him inside. He looked around at all the old antiques, some wooden and some glass.

"Take a seat, doll. I'll be right back."

The old lady went to the back of the store and soon came back with a wooden box. Myungsoo looked at her skeptically but sat down.

"Now." She opened the box and took out a bright red jem. "With this, you can see her again."

"Do you bring the dead back alive?"

The old lady cackled, "No, silly boy. This jem will let you go back in time."

Myungsoos furrowed his brows. "You're not serious."

She grinned at him, "Oh yes. This will help you go back in time to save her from her death."

Myungsoo slowly reached for the jem.

"But wait!" The old woman jerked her hand away, causing Myungsoo to jump back as well. She narrowed his eyes at him and whispered, "There's one condition that you must acknowledge."

Myungsoo creased his brows even more, "What is it?"

The lady smiled a sly smile. "Once you save her, she won't remember you." He gasped. "I don't understand."

"Once you save her, this jem will turn black, and no one in this world will remember you."

Myungsoo gulped. "Do you mean-" "Yes, pretty boy. You will die."

Myungsoo stumbled backwards as he got up from his seat. He refused to accept the offer and turned his heel, heading for the door.

"Don't you want her to be happy?"

Myungsoo stopped in his tracks. He thought to himself for a couple of seconds before replying, "I do."

Myungsoo opened his eyes and gasped when he was standing in the middle of the busy streets in broad daylight. He looked around and saw the exact same events occur from the day Seulyi died.

The same baby was playing with bubbles as her mother was talking to her friend by the sushi shop. The same dog was waiting outside the pharamcy for his owner to come out. And Myungsoo was wearing the same exact outfit.

Myungsoo checked his watch. "It's October 27th."

"Myungsoo-yah!" He turned around. "Seulyi..." His loving girlfriend of three years ran up to him and pulled him down for a hug.

"Hey, boyfriend." She pulled back and sweetly smiled at him before frowning. "Is something wrong?"

Myungsoo shook his head out of his state of shock. "No, nothing's wrong."

He pulled her in for another hug and embraced her tightly. "Thank you. Thank you for bringing me back."

Seulyi furrowed her brows, "Huh? Myungsoo, what are you saying?"

Myungsoo pulled back and smiled. "Nothing. Come on, let's go on our date." He pecked her nose and she beamed, leading the way to the amusement park.

They bought animal ear headbands and cotton candy. They held hands and strolled around the park, riding every ride and sharing churros and hotdogs. Seulyi laughed and danced along to the mascots entertaining the little children.

Myungsoo smiled at her happiness. His eyes quickly turned into ones of sorrow when he remembered that this would be their last. I'm glad you're happy, Seulyi. Promise me that you'll be happy after tonight, even when I'm gone. Promise me that you'll forget about me. 

"Myungsoo?" Seulyi waved her hand in front of her boyfriend's face and smiled when she got his attention.

He wrapped his arms around her waist. "What do you want, love?" Seulyi beamed and pointed to the carousal. Myungsoo nodded before grabbing her hand to lead the way.

"That was so much fun! Thank you for taking me out today, Myungsoo."

He bitterly smiled when he heard the same phrase he heard that other night.

He said the same thing, "No need to thank me, babe. I'll take you anywhere at anytime."

And he meant every word, even though he knew that this would be the last time he would be able to take her out.

Seulyi hugged his arm and leaned her head on his broad shoulder. "What did I do to deserve you?"

"You were just you." Seulyi lightly hit his chest and giggled at his cheesy comment.

"Bye Myungsoo! I'll see you tomorrow." Seulyi tiptoed to kiss his cheek before walking onto the crosswalk.

Myungsoo took note of every little thing he loved about Seulyi as he watched her for the last time. 

Ten, nine, eight. 

Myungsoo started walking after her as he counted in his head. The crosswalk signal was counting down with him. 

Seven, six, five. 

Then he heard it. Everyone heard it. The sound of the black car swerving toward them, just like that night a week ago.

Four, three, two. 

Myungsoo got ready to push her away. Seulyi gasped and turned around. She saw the drunk driver coming and Myungsoo at the corner of her eye.

"Myungsoo!"

Before he could push her, Seulyi rushed up to him and tried to push him away before the car could hit both of them. 

One. 

The car backed away from the scene and drove away. A crowd started forming around the two bodies on the ground.

Myungsoo opened his eyes and gasped when he saw Seulyi on the ground a few feet away from him. "Seulyi. Seulyi!"

Myungsoo crawled over and held her in his arms. Seulyi lay limp in his arms as blood flowed down her forehead. "Seulyi!" He bawled and hugged her.

He looked at the jem in his hand. "Turn black! Turn black already! I want to be with Seulyi. Turn black so I can die and see her again! Please..."

The jem remained glowing red in his palm as the ambulance came and took Seulyi away from him for the second time. Myungsoo sobbed on the street as he clutched his chest. "You gave me a second chance to save her, and I couldn't. How can I live now?"

He angrily threw the jem across the street and continued to cry for Seulyi. He would never forgive himself for letting her go twice.
