"I'm breaking up with you."

Bori dropped her spoon and gawked at Bobby who was calmly eating across from her. "What? Why all of a sudden? It's our one-year anniversary tomorrow."

"You're leaving me next week, so I'm breaking up with you first."

"I-Is this because of my trip to Europe? Bobby, I thought we decided to keep a long distance relationship-"

"A trip to Europe? It's not a trip. You're leaving me, Bori. You're going there for a whole year."

Bori was slightly offended. "Because of school." Bori held both of his hands and pleaded, "Come on, Bobby. We decided yesterday that we'll contact each other everyday. We can facetime everyday and even send letters to each other. I don't want to lose you."

Bobby sighed and pulled his hands back and placed them on his lap. "You know long distance relationships never work out. Look at Yunhyeong and Hana. They broke up two months after she left." "But we're not them."

Bobby lowered his head and shook it. "I don't think it's going to work out."

After a long period of silence, Bori finally spoke up with a hoarse voice, "Fine. Let's break up." She gathered her things and put a ten dollar bill on the table. "Since we're not together anymore, I'll pay this time, as a friend. I guess I'll see you later, sometime." She smiled at him one last time, got up and left the restaurant. Bobby sighed and slumped back onto his chair.

Bobby drummed his fingers on the keyboard as he hummed the tune of iKON's new song. They had the melody but no lyrics, and that was Bobby's job for the night.

The rain falling pattered on the window pane. The sound reminded him of the time he and Bori played in the rain and ended up catching a small cold afterwards. He began to smile at the thought of his ex but the trees hitting the window took him out of his trance.

Bobby shook his head and sat up straight to get back to work. He stared at the blank white computer screen until lyrics started to flow out of his head. You only left behind a light smile, left with a smiling face. Pretending to firmly believe in our promise. I should've done everything to make you stay, then I wouldn't be living in regret, girl. 

A flashback of his first Christmas with Bori came into his mind. They were drinking hot chocolate, tangled in each other's arms under a soft blanket while watching a movie on tv. I'm going to miss your presence for the rest of my life. 

Another flashback of Bori falling alseep cuddled up next to him. Just fall into a deep sleep in my arms. 

The time they went on a night drive and stopped to look at the stars. I'm looking up at the cruelly beautiful evening sky. Tears are falling because it's the last time I'm seeing yo- 

Bobby stopped writing as a teardrop fell onto his hand. "What the ." He felt his face and frowned when it was wet. Bobby sighed and rubbed his face as he leaned back onto the chair. "I can't stop thinking of her, why?"

"Because you're still in love with her." Bobby jumped from his chair and looked at the door. Hanbin walked in and sat down on the couch in the small studio. "What are you doing here?"

"I was checking to see if you were still being dumb and wasting your time here when you should be at the airport."

"Why would I be at the air-" Bori's leaving today. "."

"You're in , alright."

Bobby got up from his chair and frantically paced back and forth across the small room. "What do I do?"

"Go to the airport and tell her you're sorry. Get back together with her. Do you really want to let her go like this?"

Bobby thought about their one year relationship and all the memories they created and cherished. What was he thinking? Of course he can't just let her go like this. He was stupid and selfish for breaking up with her. He was afraid that he wouldn't be able to keep the relationship going but knowing and loving Bori, he knew that nothing could break them apart. Not even the 4,925 miles that would be in between them.

Bobby grabbed his phone and dashed out of the room. "I owe you one." Hanbin smirked, "No need to!" He grabbed Bobby's wallet and took out forty bucks and walked into iKON's practice room. "Jiwon's buying tonight!"

Bobby ran past the people crowded around the entrance and into the airport. He stopped, panting, and frantically scanned the large structure. There were hundreds of people walking in different directions but Bori was none of them. 

"Gate 7B will be closing soon. Passengers for Gate 7B, Incheon to Frankfurt, will board soon." As soon as he heard the voice on the intercom, he dashed toward the gate. His lungs hurt from running around too much but he didn't want to lose his chance of stopping her from leaving.

Bori handed her passport to the lady who scanned it for her. She looked back to see if Bobby came to say goodbye. Seeing no sign of him, Bori's eyes dimmed as she bitterly smiled to herself.

"Bori!" Bori stopped walking right before the sliding doors closed and turned around. "Bobby?" Bobby came running toward her and she didn't hesitate to run out of the gate and past the line, leaving her suitcase behind. He opened his arms and she came running straight into them.

"I'm sorry for breaking up with you. I was selfish and stupid and. I'm so sorry." Bobby buried his face into her neck and breathed in her familiar scent. Bori smiled into his shoulder and hugged back. "I forgive you."

After a long hug, Bobby pulled back with sad eyes. "You're still going, huh?" Bori nodded and pursed her lips. "At least we'll be able to call each other everyday." "Or facetime. We can even write letters." Bobby teased and Bori laughed back.

"I'm going to miss you. At least I got to tell you that." Bobby kissed her lips and Bori leaned in and cherished the touch she would be missing. "I should go now." Bobby squeezed her hand one last time before letting go. "Go," he gestured. Bori nodded and got her suitcase before walking past the sliding doors.
