Sorry for the long wait!

Mark opened the front door and swung his keys around as he whistled while taking his shoes off. "Babe, I'm home!" He stepped out of the doorway and as soon as the door clicked close, he heard a crash coming from the living room. 

"Get off of me!" Yeonyi pushed the demon off of her and wiped the black liquid off her cheek. Ugh, demon blood. 

She gasped when the demon lunged for her again. She was quick to jump back and grab the nearest vase but tripped on the leg of the table and fell back. Her eyes widened when darkness surrounded her as the demon enveloped her in his hold.

"Get- off- Ah!" Yeonyi let out a painful yelp as the demon sank its claws into her neck while choking her. She coughed and choked as she tried to kick it off of her. "M-Mark..."

Is this how I'm going to die? Mark's going to be devastated when he comes home. I never told him I was a vampire. What would he think of me?

As Yeonyi struggled to get out of the demon's grasp, Mark ran into the living room with a knife in his hand. He remembered reading from a mythology book that a demon dies when impaled by a silver stake. This better work. 

Mark gripped onto the knife and bravely walked straight up to the demon and stabbed it's back. A painful, eerie cry left its body as it shriveled up into ashes and disappeared into smoke. Yeonyi coughed and caught her breathe. Mark dropped the knife and knelt beside her. "Are you okay?"

"M-Mark....how?"

"You thought I didn't know my own girlfriend was a vampire? What kind of boyfriend would I be then?"

Mark's eyes widened in horror when he noticed the giant gashes on her neck. He didn't hesitate to pick her up and bring her to the couch to tend her wounds.

Mark let out a satisfied sigh when he finished bandaging her neck. He got up to put the first aid kit away when he leg brushed against her arm that was ice cold. What the-

He took a closer look at her. Yeonyi, who was now asleep from exhaustion, was as pale as paper and he could see her veins, black and blue as if they were bruised. "What the hell?" He sat back down and shook her. "Yeonyi, babe. Wake up."

Mark grew alarmed when she didn't stir. "Yeonyi. Yeonyi!"

Yeonyi slowly opened her eyes that were slowly turning pitch black. "Blood..." she whispered.

Mark leaned closer. "What?"

"Blood. I need....blood."

Mark's eyes widened. He never imagined that he'd be in this situation. "Uh, um. Should I go get some meat from the store? O-Or do you-"

Yeonyi groaned in pain as her skin became colder. "I need blood."

"I know babe." Mark was pacing back and forth now. "But from where? There's nowhere I can get-" Mark stopped and sat down. 

"Yeonyi. Drink mine."

Yeonyi, althought weak, stared at him with round eyes and shook her head. "I....can't..."

"Yes you can. Here," he took off his hoodie and leaned closer to . 

Yeonyi smelled his sweet blood and her eyes turned black. Her body was saying yes but her heart was telling her no. She can't drink his blood! If she does....

"You might turn-"

Mark gulped but didn't move. "I don't care. I'm not going to let you die like this, no not like this." He grabbed her limp hands and made her grab his neck so that she could pull him closer. But Yeonyi pulled away with all her strength that she had left.

"I'm not drinking your blood, Mark." She said firmly. "I don't want you to live like me, killing humans for their blood, leaving their bodies to rot and die-"

"I love you, Yeonyi."

Her breathe hitched as her hooded eyes gazed at Mark's that were staring straight into hers. 

"I love you, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, whether it's for ten years, hundred years, a thousand...it doesn't matter. Whether we're rich or poor, young or old, vampire of human.....I want to be with you, and you only Yeonyi."

Mark squeezed her hands. "You can drink my blood. I'm not letting you die." He finished off with a whisper as his lips ghosted above hers. He closed the space between them and took her lips. She responded as a tear ran down her cheek.

Yeonyi slowly bit his lower lip and moved down to his neck. Mark shivered as she grazed her fangs around his soft flesh. 

"I love you, too." Yeonyi passionately declared before sinking her fangs into his neck. Mark winced and shut his eyes. His fingers grabbed for the couch but grabbed her leg instead. He relaxed when he felt her skin grow hot again. It's working.

Yeonyi pulled away after what seemed like hours, and wiped . She stared at him with a concerned look. "Are you...okay? How are you feeling?"

Mark gave her a smug smile. "I feel great. I don't feel a thing-" Mark tried to stand up but lost his balance and landed right on top of her. 

"Mark!"

Yeonyi held him close and ran her fingers through his hair as his eyes slowly closed. "I love you...." Mark breathed before his body slumped in a deep slumber.

Yeonyi lovingly gazed at him and kissed his forehead. "I love you too."

And I'll keep you by my side forever, my vampire lover.
