Risa opened her eyes and smiled at the handsome face in front of her.

Seungyoon lightly snored as his chest went up and down with every breath he took.

Risa moved his bangs to the side and admired his face before kissing his cheek and carefully getting out of bed.

Risa tied her hair up into a loose bun and walked to the kitchen to make their morning coffee.

"Good morning, babe." Risa turned around and smiled, "Good morning. Slept well?"

Seungyoon nodded and lazily wrapped his arms around her waist. He tucked her under his chin and played with her hair.

"It's a Saturday. I was thinking we can go watch Deadpool and eat Thai food afterwards. What do you think?"

"Oh, I actually planned to watch Deadpool with Daehyun today."

At the mention of his name, Seungyoon grew stiff and pulled away from the hug.

"Daehyun?" He hated that name.

Risa innocently nodded, "We can go together! And order pick up and come eat here."

Seungyoon visibly frowned. "Can't you cancel and just hang out with me today? We haven't gone on a date for a long time."

Risa thought about it and shook her head. "We went to the aquarium last week."

Seungyoon raised a brow, "With Daehyun."

Risa's mouth shaped into an O and she quickly thought of another time. "We also went to see the musical on Thursday!"

Seungyoon deadpanned. "With Daehyun." Risa frowned, "What about-"

Seungyoon sighed. "Why don't we just go somewhere tomorrow? You wanted to buy shoes, right? We can go tomorrow."

Risa guiltily bit her lower lip and Seungyoon almost scowled, knowing what she was about to say.

"Daehyun and I are going tomorrow to buy them..."

Seungyoon ran his fingers through his hair. He's had enough of her best friend.

"Daehyun, Daehyun, Daehyun. It's always Daehyun!" He raised his voice, causing Risa to back away from him.

"Why is it always him? I'm your boyfriend. I'm supposed to take you to see all those things and buy all those stuff. But Daehyun always gets in the way!"

Risa stepped closer and touched his arm, "Seungyoon. You are my boyfriend-"

Seungyoon harshly jerked away from her touch. "Then why doesn't it feel like I am? Sure we wake up in the same bed and go to sleep in each others arms. But Daehyun is always in between. It's always Daehyun this, Daehyun that and I'm sick of it. I'm sick of hearing his name all the time."

Risa flinched at his loud voice. Seungyoon took a deep breath and looked at her in the eyes. "Choose. Is it me or Daehyun?"

Risa opened to talk but nothing came out. Seungyoon face twitched when she hesitated. 

He repeated, "Is it me or Daehyun?"

"Of course it's...." Risa's words faltered, shocking both of them.

Seungyoon scoffed, "I guess there's your answer."

He picked up his keys and walked out of the house without another word.

Risa slumped down to the ground as tears slid down her face. What has she done?

Risa sat on the couch the whole day, waiting for Seungyoon to come back.

The door unlocked and Risa gasped and stood up.

"Seungyo-" Her shoulders fell when she saw Daehyun walk in.

Daehyun furrowed his eyesbrows when he saw her red eyes. "Were you crying?"

Risa looked down. Daehyun looked around the house in anger. "Where is that bastard-"

Risa grabbed his arm and shook her head. "It's my fault." Daehyun softened when he saw her tears and sat her down on the couch.

Risa wiped her face and sniffled. "He a-asked me to choose between...between you and him and I..."

Her words became mumbles as she started to sob. Daehyun pulled her into his embrace and squeezed her.

He hesitated before asking, "What'd you say?"

"I couldn't answer."

Daehyun stopped breathing. "Why?" "I...I don't know."

Daehyun pulled away and held her shoulders to search her eyes. "Do you really not know or are you too afraid to admit something?"

Risa looked into his eyes and realized what he was saying. 

Risa thought back to all the times Daehyun was there for her. When her parents got divorced, whenever she fought with her friends, when she got fired from her first job. Daehyun was always there when Seungyoon wasn't.

But that didn't mean that Seungyoon was never by her side. Seungyoon stood by her when she got bullied, when she graduated from university, when she got her first leg surgery. He was always there, supporting her and loving her. He made her laugh and smile and happy.

Daehyun knew it was wrong to love his best friend who was taken but he couldn't stop his heart.

And he hated himself for secretly wanting her to break up with Seungyoon.

Risa closed her eyes and touched head. She was getting a headache.

Daehyun reached out and touched her hand. "Are you okay?"

Risa moved away from his touch, "I-I'm fine. I just need some time alone."

Daeyhun pursed his lips and nodded. "Alright. Call me if you need anything." He stood up and reluctantly left the apartment.

Risa lied down on her bed and closed her eyes. 

Seungyoon is my boyfriend. Daehyun is my best friend. And I love them both? Who loves me? Ugh. 

Risa frustratedly sighed. "Why did this have to happen?"
