“HYUNGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!”

Myungsoo walked into his apartment only to find his little brother running up to him. His nanny was standing walking out from their room, with a tired expression on.

“You’re back, Myungsoo?”

Myungsoo returned her a slight smile, sympathizing with her, “Good evening, ahjumma. Is our Jisoo giving you a hard time?” He ruffled his brother’s hair when the little boy hugged his leg tightly, burying his head into his thigh.

“You don’t say.” The nanny smiled and took her bags from the couch, “I’ll get going now then.” She walked over to the door, where Myungsoo was waiting for her to leave so he could lock it, but she stopped halfway out.

“Oh right, Myungsoo-ah. Have you found a new nanny yet? It’s nearing the month end.”

Myungsoo shook his head as he smiled sadly, “It’s alright, ahjumma. We’ll see how it goes. I hope I can find one when the time comes.”

“I’m sorry-”

“No, ahjumma. I understand.” Myungsoo nodded his head as an understanding.

The nanny had told him before that she had to quit, because her own children needed care back at her own village. She was just a middle aged lady, coming to Seoul to work years ago. She followed their family for the longest time, from when his parents were around. After they passed away four years ago, she stayed right beside them to take care of them, even though the brothers never relied on her at the beginning. Eventually, Myungsoo warmed up to her after her countless help with the both of them. She only had to take care of Jisoo when Myungsoo went to work.

It’s not as though Myungsoo can’t take care of Jisoo himself. He wanted to, so much, but he had to work to fill their living expenses up.

Ever since his parents passed away four years ago, he was the one who brought his baby brother up. As a result, Jisoo loved sticking to him a lot.

“Hyung~ Hyung~ Hyung~”

Myungsoo locked the doors and picked him up swiftly into his arms, “Yes, young boy?”

Jisoo brightened up and showed him his famous big eyes, and the latter knew he wanted something in returned.

“Can we go to the amusement park, pweaseeeee?”

Myungsoo raised a brow and stared at him as he walked back to his room, “Why the amusement park, Jisoo-ah?”

“Jisoo saw it from that!” He pointed to Myungsoo’s back, which made him turned around, only to find out that he was pointing to the television.

“You watched television today?” Myungsoo cooed as he placed him down to stand on the bed as he placed his files on his table.

“YES! Pororo and Crong went to the amusement park! Jisoo wants to go too! Jisoo wants to go~~~” The hyper boy jumped around the bed in excitement, trying to lure his brother in.

Of course, his loving brother was caught at once.

“Alright then. Tomorrow? Since I’m off, I can bring you there.” Myungsoo promised. He had savings in his bank account, of course, for their uses in the future. He coped with his finance well, and saved up quite a sum of money for his brother’s future.

“Really, Hyung?! Tomorrow we’re going to the amusement park?!” Jisoo clapped his hands and jumped about, showing how excited he was, only to fell flat on his face on the bed.

Myungsoo laughed hard at his silly actions and sat beside him, “Let me take a look, babo~”

Jisoo showed his face to him with a slight pout on his face, “Hyung~~ blow it~”

Myungsoo blew air to his forehead and smiled lovingly at him, “Better now?”

“YES!”

“That’s good.” He stood up from the bed and took his home clothes, before walking to the bathroom.

“Hyung! Bathe! Me too! Jisoo too!” Jisoo stood up from the bed again, and had his arms stretched out widely. “Jisooooo toooooo~”

“Jisoo hasn’t bath yet?” Myungsoo let out a horrified expression but he walked over to the bed to pick him up. “What is Jisoo doing at home after school?!”

“PLAY! PLAY! PLAY!”

“Play the whole day?” Myungsoo cooed and brought him over to the bathroom before peeling his shirt off him.

“YES!”

“No wonder you’re so smelly.”

“HYUNG~~~”

Myungsoo laughed at his brother’s reaction and brought him over to the tub after taking his clothes off too.

“We take a quick bath and sleep since it will be a long day tomorrow, hmm?”

Jisoo agreed and rubbed his tired eyes, “Jisoo is tired too…”

“We will have a good sleep tonight then.” Myungsoo placed the shampoo on his head before washing his hair thoroughly.

He made sure he was clean, before soaping himself up.

After bathing, Myungsoo had their hair blown dry before tucking them under the blanket warmly. Jisoo snuggled up to him and hugged him tightly, “Hyung~ We have to get up early tomorrow! Jisoo wants to play!”

“Alright.” Myungsoo smiled and pulled him closer, keeping him warm, “Let’s go and play tomorrow. Hyung will make you happy.”

They fell asleep quickly, due to tiredness, and had a great dream that night.

“Jisoo?” Myungsoo cooed softly as he tried to wake his brother up. He had already prepared and changed out of his home clothes.

Now all he was left was to prepare his brother up but the lazy kid was still sleeping in soundly.

“Jisoo? Wake up now~”

Jisoo whined and rubbed his face, trying to push Myungsoo’s hands off, which only made the latter laughed madly. “Come on, Jisoo~ Up now!”

Jisoo tried opening his tired eyes, but they just wouldn’t open by themselves.

“Up now, or no more amusement park. Aren’t we going today?”

Jisoo shot up from the bed and opened his tired eyes widely. He could feel his tiredness being washed away at once. “AMUSEMENT PARK!”

“Yes, little boy.” Myungsoo laughed and pushed his hair out of his face, “Don’t you want to go early? Look! I’m already prepared, and I’m waiting for you now~”

Jisoo ran to the bathroom and washed his face and brushed his teeth before rushing back out to the bedroom again. “HYUNG! CLOTHES! CHANGE!”

Myungsoo pulled him over to his front and helped him with his clothes. He successfully changed it, and Jisoo ran out of the bedroom at once.

“COME, HYUNG~ LET’S GO!”

Myungsoo left his clothes on the bed and took his stuffs before joining his brother at the door. “Are you that eager, little boy?”

“Of course, hyung!” Jisoo had his hands on his brother’s shoulders as Myungsoo tried to help him with his shoes. “Amusement park, hyung! Amusement park! Jisoo will have fun in there!”

“That’s right.” Myungsoo held onto his little hand before walking out of the apartment with him. “Let’s take the bus, alright? I won’t drive the car.”

Jisoo had his little lower lip pouted out with a confused expression on, “Hyung, why?”

“Bus will be faster. And I don’t think there’s a place to park too.” Myungsoo ruffled his hair playfully as they got out from the lift. “So you have to stay near me, alright?”

“Yes, hyung~” Jisoo used both of his hands to hold his big one tightly, “Jisoo won’t let hyung go!”

Together, they reached the amusement park in no time and Myungsoo got their tickets quickly.

“Hyung! Give Jisoo my ticket! I want to go in!” Jisoo struggled to get the ticket on his hand, but he was taller, of course.

Myungsoo even held the tickets higher to , “Only if you can reach it~”

“HYUNG~~~~” Jisoo jumped up and down to get it while whining, and that melted Myungsoo. “Ja~” He passed the child ticket to Jisoo and pushed him over to the entrance. “Go on, Jisoo-ah.”

Jisoo gave the ticket to the staff excitedly, who was welcoming him brightly, “Welcome~”

“HELLO NOONA!” Jisoo waved at the staff as he passed through the turnstile happily, “JISOO IS HERE~”

“Kim Jisoo!” Myungsoo passed the staff his ticket and he entered after his brother quickly. “Stop running about!”

Jisoo ran to his side and grabbed his leg tightly, “HYUNG~ LET’S GO! LET’S GO!”

Myungsoo chuckled and could only listen to his command. “Alright, let’s go.” He pulled him into the park and took a map for him. They looked at the mad and Myungsoo waited for his brother to state where he wanted to go.

“So? Had you decided?”

Jisoo pointed to a ride in the map, and Myungsoo frowned at his choice. “Jisoo-ah. It’s the roller coaster. You can’t play that. They have height limits and you haven’t even reached there yet.”

“Really? Jisoo can’t play that?” Jisoo frowned and lowered his head sadly.

“We’ll come back when you grow taller okay?” Myungsoo cheered and pointed to the map again, “Choose other ride, Jisoo-ah. Some rides you can go.”

Jisoo did as told but he wasn’t satisfied with the outcome. He pointed at a ride randomly and sighed. Myungsoo saw through him at once and felt bad for him.

Nonetheless, he brought the little one over to the ride he pointed to and queued for it. “Come on, Jisoo-ah. It’ll be fun! You wanted to come to the park, so you have to enjoy, hmm?”

Jisoo pouted and he still had his head lowered, “But Jisoo wants to play the round round thing.”

“You can when you grow taller, kid.” Myungsoo sighed before squatting down to his height, “Let’s play others for now, okay? Hyung will bring you to other rides you can play.”

“Promise Jisoo we will come back again?”

“Yes. Hyung will bring you back when you grow taller.”

“OKAY!” Jisoo brightened up, once again, at his answers. “Jisoo will grow taller and come back for the round round thing!”

“That’s the spirit!” Myungsoo laughed and soon, it was their turn for the ride.

It was the Viking, and Myungsoo held Jisoo closed to him, in case he would fly off. In the end, Jisoo had a real fun enjoying that ride. He had smiles on his face the whole time which made Myungsoo felt relieved.

They exited the Viking and walked further into the park. Myungsoo had his eyes on the map the whole time, trying to find a new ride which his brother can ride on.

However, when he turned his eyes to his brother, he then realized the little kid was gone. Myungsoo looked around and horror filled his face.

Never once had he lost his brother before, and now that he can’t see Jisoo around him, he hated that feeling so much.

He became scared.

Myungsoo ran the route back to the Viking, and Jisoo was still nowhere to be found. His eyes were widely opened to take note of his brother around, and he had his jaws opened the whole time.

He was so scared that he didn’t even know what to do.

Should he report it to the guest’s service counter? Or should he look around for his brother himself? What should he do?

He had a hard time pondering about those questions as he ran up and down the same lane, trying to spot his baby brother.

“Jisoo… Goddamnit…”

Myungsoo even tried looking underneath the bench, but he was nowhere to be sighted. “KIM JISOO! JISOO-AH!!!”

He earned weird stares from the other guests, but he could care less about that then.

“KIM JISOO! WHERE ARE YOU?!”

He could feel his tears b at his eyes, those tears threatened him so much to drop but he had his own pride to keep them in.

“! WHERE ARE YOU, JISOO-AH?!?!?!”

When he thought about children trafficking, he panicked all over again. Those wouldn’t happen to his brother, right?

“KIM JISOOOO!!!!!!”

“HYUNG!”

Myungsoo turned around at the so familiar voice and found his brother waving to him happily from afar.

That was when his tears finally dropped mercilessly down his cheeks. “Jisoo-ah…” He ran over to him and squatted down to his height before pulling him into his arms tightly.

“Kim Jisoo. You’ve scared me. Please don’t scare me like this again. I thought you were gone.”

Jisoo was about to cry when he saw his brother weeping into his neck, but the girl beside him stopped him from doing so.

“Are you Jisoo’s brother?”

Myungsoo pulled away from Jisoo and looked up to find a girl younger than him behind Jisoo. However, she was glaring at him with her arms crossed.

“Yes, I am.” He stood up from his position as he wiped his own tears off, trying to look nice, but the girl didn’t notice that at all.

“You shouldn’t leave your brother alone! He was looking for you! You should keep him close and look after him well! How could you let your eyes off your own brother?!”

Myungsoo was left speechless at her words. Those were right, but who in the world was she to reprimand him?”

“Erm…”

“You shouldn’t let kids walk off alone! Once they were gone far from their family, they will feel scared and worried! They would think that they’re in danger and they will be traumatized!”

“Miss. Stop it.” Myungsoo finally snapped. He couldn’t take it any longer. He knew how well he should take care of his own brother, so she doesn’t have to rub it into his face. “Look. I know how I should take care of my own brother. You should seriously stop making… a scene… from this…”

 Myungsoo mumbled his last few words when he saw tears dropping down her cheeks.

He widened his eyes and gulped hard. That was the first time he saw a girl cry, and strangely, he doesn’t like this girl in front of him to cry. “Yah…! Why… are you crying?”

She sniffled and as she wiped her tears off her face roughly.

“JIYEON-AH!”

Myungsoo saw how she tilted her head to the other side when she was being called. *Jiyeon? So her name is Jiyeon?*

“Park Jiyeon!” The guy rushed over to her and cupped her cheeks gently, “What did I say about walking off on your own? You got me so worried! I thought I would lose you again!” He pulled Jiyeon into a hug and her hair gently.

Myungsoo witnessed how Jiyeon cried even harder into his arms, and he too, felt a sting in his heart.

“Don’t make me lose you again like 15 years ago…”

He swore he heard the guy mumbled that out softly. With his perfect hearing, he could hear what he said complete
