Kaiyeon

Jiyeon found out that she is pregnant and she knows exactly who the daddy of the baby inside her is. She looked for Kai and asked him to be responsible by marrying her. He agreed but they got married secretly. He abused and hurt her. He tried to kill the baby so that he can free, but he didn't realize that she was in danger. It meant that she could lose her life.

Jiyeon stared at the report in her hand and all she could do was to sigh and cry.

Her hands went to her tummy automatically and rubbed it gently. “Baby-ah… What should we do now?”

She was not rich.

She wasn’t poor too.

But she doesn’t have enough to take care of another life.

She was just a student who graduated from university recently. She hasn’t found a stable job yet but she has some savings enough for herself for a few months.

Now that she’s pregnant, what should she do?

But it was her fault.

If she didn’t give in to her boyfriend, she wouldn’t even get pregnant.

But it’s no use crying over spill milk now.

Jiyeon has to live on. She has to survive for her baby. She has to take care of the baby. She has to find a way to take care of the baby.

The only method which came up to her mind was him: her boyfriend.

To be honest, it was her ex-boyfriend.

He pushed her away and tore her apart after taking her ity. That was his motive anyway since he was a rich kid.

He was the heartthrob in school, in her university.

She was pretty too.

They got together and Jiyeon was truly touched by his actions when he wooed her.

After he took her ity, then she knew why he did all that. He only wanted to play with her. After he had his fun, he would throw her away like garbage.

Jiyeon had enough of crying and she finally pulled herself up after three weeks.

That was when she felt her body changing.

She went to the doctor, and from then on, everything happened so quickly.

She knew she was pregnant for three weeks already and the only father would be him. No one else. She only had him as a boyfriend before.

Yes.

First love.

It hurts, but it happened to her.

Poor Jiyeon.

But this time, she has to do it. She has to fight for herself and the baby in her.

Jiyeon picked her wallet and phone, and travelled to his apartment. She had been there before so she knew where it was.

Sadly, no one was at home.

She wouldn’t give up though.

She went to his house immediately and asked to meet him.

Instead, she came upon his mother. “Ah! Jiyeon!”

Of course, she met his mother before too – during his sweet days. “Hi, omonim.”

“Jiyeon, it’s been so long! What’s going on between the both of you? Did you guys fight? Or did he hurt you?”

Jiyeon bit her lips as she shook her head while walking into the house since his mother invited her in. “It’s nothing. Erm… Is Kai in?”

“He’s out saying he wants to meet his friends. Tell me honestly, Jiyeon. You looked pale too.”

Jiyeon was still not going to say, of course. Kai would kill him.

But her timing just had to be so wrong. She felt nauseous and ran for the bathroom at once.

As a mother, she knew. She understood. She ran to the bathroom with her and patted her back as she released those juices out from her tummy.

Once they were out, his mother just had to ask. “You’re pregnant, aren’t you?!”

Jiyeon couldn’t even argue since it was true.

“I’m right, aren’t I?”

“But omonim…”

“Why? What’s wrong?”

“I… Erm…”

His mother knew exactly what was going on right then. “That useless son of mine broke up with you after he did it with you, didn’t he?!”

Jiyeon bit her lips as tears formed in her eyes again.

“Goodness. I’ll skin him alive, I swear!” She swore indeed. “Don’t worry. I’ll make sure he takes responsibility.”

“But omonim…”

“I know his temper and attitude. This might change him too.” She assured. “Don’t worry. Stay for dinner alright? I’ll make sure everything turns out fine. Just stay here for now. I’ll make a call to his dad.”

“Is it really alright, omonim?”

“Of course. Trust omonim.” She smiled and left for the kitchen at once.

Jiyeon sat on the couch and thought about her idea deeply. It might be the best solution for the baby since the baby needed some help now.

But Kai will surely be mad.

Indeed, he raged and swore when he knew about the news at night.

Yes, he swore right in front of his father, at the dining room. That was how awful he was.

But in the end, he had no choice but to agree with whatever his dad said. His dad words were final and no one can change it.

No one.

When he said Jiyeon were to marry him, it’s final.

Kai glared at Jiyeon for the last time before storming up to his room, even slamming his door hard. “Don’t worry, Jiyeon-ah. He’ll listen to abeonim.”

Jiyeon placed the chopsticks back down onto the table since she lost her appetite. “But… He seems so angry.”

“I’ll make sure he takes up his responsibility. The baby will be just fine.” His father assured Jiyeon once again.

Both his parents loved Jiyeon.

They found her sweet and caring. She often went over to the house just to get along with them even though Kai didn’t.

Instead, they felt as though she was their daughter, not Kai as their son.

They simply loved Jiyeon more than Kai’s previous countless of girlfriends.

Of course, the marriage was on and it happened so soon. They set the date to be the following month, before her tummy got bigger.

After which, they demanded Jiyeon to move into Kai’s apartment, and they were to be living together.

On the wedding night, after the ceremony was over, the couple returned to his apartment and all Kai did was to leave her alone.

He changed into a less formal wear before heading to the door again.

“Kai!”

He stopped. But only to turn around to glare at her.

“Erm… Where are you going…? It’s… It’s midnight…”

“To enjoy myself in the club, where else.” He smirked and left at once, slamming his front door hard. Jiyeon returned to the bedroom and changed out of her wedding gown at once.

She then went out to the couch and waited for him to return.

She waited.

And waited.

It soon turned 3AM but he wasn’t home yet.

Another hour ran by, and he was finally home. Jiyeon hurried to his side to help him since he smelt of alcohol, but he simply pushed her away.

“Don’t touch me, .”

Surprisingly, he was clear-minded after having so much drink.

Jiyeon ignored his words and helped him again, but Kai slapped her cheek hard with the back of his hand.

Jiyeon tumbled onto the couch in horror and cupped her pained cheeks sadly.

Tears, once again, found her eyes.

“Yah.” Kai smirked and kicked her thigh lightly, “I told you not to touch me already, .” He bent down to her height and pinched her arm hard.

Jiyeon yelped and tried pushing his hand away, but he simply pinched it harder.

When he was satisfied, he let it go and left for his room with a last warning. “Don’t even come into my room.”

And Jiyeon stayed outside, in the living room, crying to sleep for the rest of the night.

She didn’t sleep long though, and was being woken up by Kai.

Not normal shake.

Not by calling.

But he woke her up by cold water.

Jiyeon jumped up in surprise, but Kai was still dripping the mineral water onto her head while laughing madly at his actions.

“Having fun swimming in my water?!”

Jiyeon wiped her face and stood up from the couch, attempting to head to the washroom to clean up.

Kai pulled her back and shoved her down to the couch instead. “Stay here until I say you can move.”

She tried moving, but only to receive another slap.

She dared not move again. Not even an inch.

Jiyeon waited for his call before moving. But he didn’t. He took his time getting showered, preparing himself for the day.

He didn’t even tell her to move when he went for the front door.

But before he exited the apartment, he walked over to her and pinched her arm again, this time on the other side.

Jiyeon yelped, of course.

But she couldn’t do a thing to stop him.

He only let go when he was happy, and finally left the apartment.

Jiyeon cried, again.

It started out light, but soon turned worse.

Pinches turned into punches.

Slaps turned into multiple slaps.

Light kicks turned into hard kicks.

It had been a month and Jiyeon never once stepped out of his apartment. Not even for a second. Actually, she was being locked inside.

She doesn’t know his pass-code since he changed it.

If she left the house, she couldn’t return and Kai would know.
