Paring: DO, Jiyeon

Plot: Jiyeon's School will hold a singing competition. One day, she found D.O singing in music class alone. She told him to represent the school, but was rejected. She always stalking and keep begging him. Until they're in love.

“Class!” Mr. Kim slammed the table with her thick stick for attention, and that made the students flinched.

“Good, all eyes on me.” He nodded his head, approving the behaviour of his favourite class’s students.

“We will be holding a singing competition this year instead of a dance competition like last year!” The students began to groan. They had always preferred dance to singing.

“Class!” Mr. Kim banged the table for attention again. “Who shall be our class’s representative?”

Of course, the groans became louder.

“CLASS!”

Mr. Kim sighed and looked around the whole classroom. “I know you guys prefer dance. But it’s not our decision to have singing this year…” He explained solemnly with a sad expression on his face, “So… No volunteer?”

No one raised their hands, and every student in the class was avoiding his eye contact.

“Class representative!”

Jiyeon sighed and tried to ignore his call but her classmates gave her away. “WOOOOOO~ JIYEONIE! YOU’RE CHOSEN~~~~~ CONGRATULATIONS!”

Jiyeon began to grimace as she stood up unwillingly with her hands raised, “Yo… Class representative Jiyeon here…”

The students in her class cheered once again but Mr. Kim silenced them with his stick. “Class!”

“I didn’t choose her to be the one! I chose her to choose one of you in here!” Mr. Kim winked at Jiyeon which made her cheered loudly. “ASSA!!!!!”

“I’ll give you two weeks to find who the potential one will be, our class representative.”

Jiyeon saluted Mr. Kim with high spirits before looking at her classmates with a smug look on her face, “YES SIR!”

Her classmates laughed at her expression but were trying to get on her good side the next moment, except for one person.

Jiyeon smiled giddily at her classmates while scanning her eyes across them. That’s when she found the quiet boy in the class sitting in a corner.

Thinking that he’s a loner, she shrugged her shoulders and returned to talk to her classmates after Mr. Kim had dismissed them.

One week had passed just like this.

Jiyeon tried her best to lookout for the best vocal in class but it seemed like nobody has it, or rather, they purposely not sing in front of her during this period.

“So… Class representative!” Mr. Kim looked at Jiyeon with a warm smile.

“Yo! Class representative Jiyeon here!”

Mr. Kim giggled and urged her to sit back down, “how’s it going now? Have you chosen who to sing?”

Jiyeon shook her head sadly with a pout on her face, “No…”

“You’ll be fine. There’s still time, but don’t slack it off! We have to win again this year!” Jiyeon did a fighting pose to her teacher and beamed, “I’VE GOT IT!”

The class finally ended and Jiyeon walked around the school sadly. She was literally dragging her feet around since she’s depressed of not being able to find a proper vocal for their class.

She had always been a good class representative to her class, and she doesn’t want and doesn’t wish to fail this time round.

Jiyeon walked up the stairs and unknowingly, she reached the music level. No one was in that floor now since music lessons had ended the day before. It’s a weekly lesson for them, which explained the emptiness of the hallway.

She heaved a huge sigh one again and walked down the corridor slowly, yet sadly. “I’m gonna fail them… I’m gonna fail them… I’m gonna-”

She was about to repeat her third rant but stopped immediately when she heard a soft voice coming from somewhere in front of her.

She gulped nervously and shivered. “There’s no news about that thing here… right?” She hugged her arms tightly and rubbed it to keep her goose-bumps away.

“I’m scared but I’m curious… Damn me!” She cursed herself and walked forward, towards the soft noise.

But the further she walked, the more relax she felt.

All she could hear was a soft voice, singing to a soft melody.

It’s a voice of a guy. The guy had a strong vocal yet it brought out its uniqueness in it. It’s amazing!

Jiyeon brightened up immediately and opened the music room’s door widely without thinking that the guy will be displeased.

“OH MY GOD!!! YOU’VE GOT A-” She stopped halfway when she finally saw who the person was.

“KYUNGSOO?! DO KYUNGSOO FROM MY CLASS?!”

Kyungsoo simply raised a brow and looked at her before nodding his head once.

“YOU CAN SING?!”

Kyungsoo once again nodded his head once, and firmly.

Jiyeon smiled widely and snapped her fingers which made the guy dumbfounded. He knew what she’s thinking by the look of her face already.

“PLEASE JOIN-”

“No.” Kyungsoo rejected it and walked out of the music room coolly, even before she could request.

Jiyeon gasped loudly and ran after the disappeared guy, “KYUNGSOO!” She turned her head left but saw nobody down the hallway. “DO KYUNGSOO!” She turned her head to her right and there he was, walking down the stairs suavely with his hands in the pockets.

“KYUNGSOO!” Jiyeon squealed and ran after him. “PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE?! JOIN?! YOUR VOICE IS AMAZING!” She literally shouted it into his ears which made him frowned.

“Stop shouting into my right ear.” He pressed his finger to right ear to fix the volume back, “I’ll go deaf.”

Jiyeon giggled sheepishly and rubbed the back of her head shyly, “Sorry…” She looked down sadly with a pout on her face, trying to show that she’s upset.

Kyungsoo rolled his eyes and continued his walk back home. Jiyeon came back to her senses once he’s gone and chased after him again. But to her dismay, he’s nowhere to be found.

“Kyungsoo-ah…”

The next day, lessons began once again and this time round, Jiyeon looked around the classroom to find the loner boy in her class.

She pouted sadly when she didn’t find him anywhere in the corner. *Is he sick? Or… Maybe he’s in the music room? But lesson’s starting!*

Jiyeon puffed her cheeks sadly and looked at the door intensely, hoping he would pop out sooner or later but about a minute after, the door opened only to reveal her teacher.

She blew a raspberry and leaned back on her chair lifelessly. She tried to concentrate on her lesson but nothing would get into her mind.

She waited so long for the bell to ring and it finally did. She left her belongings as where it was and ran all the way to the music room. She opened the door widely with a beam on her face but only to frown the next moment since there’s nobody in the room.

Jiyeon walked back to her classroom sadly and packed her things up before going back home. She doesn’t even know his address so she couldn’t get contact with him at all. Well, basically no one in her class knew him since he’s always alone.

It had been this way for the whole week.

Kyungsoo had disappeared. Jiyeon wanted to give up looking for him but her heart told her not to. She knew that he will appear someday, somehow.

It’s the last day of school and she had no result for the singing competition.

“Class representative! How’s it going?!” Mr. Kim said with a beam on his face but only to be replaced with a frown when he saw his favourite student’s expression.

“I can’t find him…” Jiyeon whispered sadly and looked down in guilt.

“It’s fine!” Mr. Kim smiled a warm one and walked over to her. He patted her shoulders and looked at the rest of the class, “It doesn’t matter if we didn’t get someone to represent us, right, my students?”

They cheered and agreed with him immediately.

Jiyeon finally smile a weak one and bowed at them, “thank you.”

The lesson ended for that day and she wanted to try her luck for the last time. She walked to the music floor sadly and dragged her feet towards the music room he was in days ago.

Her steps began to lighten and she skipped all the way to the room when she heard the same soothing sound again.

“DO KYUNGSOO!” Jiyeon cheered and opened the door widely, and fortunately, Kyungsoo was indeed in the room.

“YOU’RE HERE TODAY!”

Kyungsoo rolled his eyes and took his bag before walking off.

This time round, Jiyeon followed him closely and stayed by his side wherever he went. *This shows that I still have a chance to get you in the competition!*

Jiyeon tagged along and entered the subway with him.

“Kyungsoo-ah…”

He had his ear-phones on his ears which blocked him out from the world. Jiyeon pouted sadly and stood beside him, hoping he would take down the ear-phone some time during the day.

But no. He did not do that.

He walked all the way home with his ear-phone on and Jiyeon followed him blindly. She simply stepped onto his footprint after him which made her look cute. Since its winter, snow was all over the floor.

All of the sudden, Kyungsoo stopped his tracks which allowed Jiyeon to bump into his back. “Kyungsoo-ah!” She cheered happily, thinking that he will be replying to her now.

But to her dismay, Kyungsoo simply walked into the apartment beside them and closed the door on her harshly.

“KYUNGSOO-AH!!!”

She knocked on the door but received no response, of course.

“KYUNGSOO-AH!!!!! I KNOW YOU CAN HEAR ME!!!!! I’LL BE BACK TOMORROW EVEN THOUGH IT’S WEEKEND!!!” She cheered and began to walk back home.

No joke but she found out she lived near him.

Kyungsoo heard it clearly but he simply went off to his bedroom, ignoring her happy voice. “Silly girl. I won’t join so stop trying.”

*DING DONG*

Kyungsoo shifted a little on his bed and went back to sleep.

*DING DONG DING DONG*

Kyungsoo groaned a little while pulling his pillow out to cover his ears.

*DING DONG DING DONG DING DONG DING DONG DING DONG DING DONG*

Kyungsoo sat up on the bed after a kick of his blanket off him and glared at the door of his bedroom. He dragged his feet down the bed and walked over to the front door tiredly.

*DING DONG DING DONG DING DONG*

Kyungsoo opened the door widely in just three seconds only to see his class representative standing outside with her index finger on his doorbell, getting ready to ring it again.

Jiyeon took her hands back and beamed widely, “HELLO KYUNGSOO!!!”

The said person whined and slammed the door on her face, harshly. “GO AWAY!”

Jiyeon pouted and did it once again.

*DING DONG DING DONG DING DONG*

Kyungsoo opened the door widely once more, in just three seconds, and glared at his class representative with his big scary eyes.

Jiyeon shivered and cowered back a little but she promised herself not to fail! She put on a wide grin once more and waved, “MORNING KYUNGSOO-AH!”

Kyungsoo rolled his eyes and glared at her again, “What are you doing here?”

“I said I will be back, didn’t I?” Jiyeon held the plastic bags in her hand up high and waved it around, “Look! It’s food! I can cook for you! Can’t you let me in?” Jiyeon brought out her puppy eyes and pouty lips but that doesn’t win Kyungsoo over.
