Myungsoo and Jiyeon are lovers, not until she found out that Myungsoo cheat on her. Jiyeon got broken-hearted and decided to forget about Myungsoo. When Myungsoo asked Jiyeon to comeback to Korea, Jiyeon realized that she doesn't love Myungsoo anymore, so she runs back to her true love.

Jiyeon walked down the empty dark streets, sobbing to herself endlessly.

She was so heartbroken.

She couldn’t believe her eyes.

No way.

She was at the mall, out to get groceries to fill her fridge up as an errand by her mother. She was supposed to be out with her boyfriend actually, but he cancelled it the last minute. He said he had club activities in school.

Jiyeon stayed at home after school had ended for her, and was able to leave the house when her mother sent her on an errand to get some sauces.

But to her horror, she spotted her boyfriend in the mall.

He should be in school, but he was in the mall.

Jiyeon thought her eyes were playing tricks on her and she wouldn’t believe it was him. But when he turned around, she was so sure it was truly him.

And the reason she cried?

He had another girl in his arms – the school’s famous fairy.

She was gorgeous. In her opinion, she was indeed beautiful – even prettier than her. She just was nobody.

As for her boyfriend, he was the school’s heartthrob.

No wonder her boyfriend would go for someone like her.

So he was playing with her for this whole year?

Yes, they were already together for a year, and yet, she found out he was cheating on her.

For how long?

She had no idea. She doesn’t want to know. But those answers, she knew she will know it somehow. She will confront it when the time was right.

Jiyeon walked into the house lifelessly, emptied out of her tears.

When the door closed, her mother rushed out from the kitchen, rather lively, “Yeon! You’re back? Where’s my sauces?”

But her expression fell when she saw the state her daughter was in. “Oh my! Yeon! What happened to you?!”

Jiyeon finally tilted her head up to look at her mother. “Omma…”

“Oh my… What happened? My poor baby. Come here.”

She fell into her mother’s embrace, and right at once, she burst out into tears again.

When Jiyeon finally stopped crying, she spilled everything out. Her mother was so furious alright, but she couldn’t do a thing since it was their business.

“It’s alright. It’s alright. I know it’s your first love, and I know it hurts. It’s alright.” All she did was to comfort her with sweet words.

Not long after, her father and brother returned home too, and they were surprised to see nothing on the dining table.

When they turned to search for the two girls, they knew something was up.

Mrs. Park shook her head, indicating not to speak, since Jiyeon was already asleep. After Chanyeol got Jiyeon back to her room, he returned to the living area for answers.

Mrs. Park spilled everything out, from what she heard from Jiyeon.

Chanyeol was so angry alright. He smashed his fist onto the couch with flames in his eyes, “That bastard. I won’t let him live!”

“Don’t do anything, Chanyeol.”

“Omma!”

“Let Jiyeon settle it herself.” Mr. Park agreed too.

Chanyeol sighed, feeling so helpless. “Ah! Appa, omma. What about sending Jiyeon to Canada?”

“Canada? I…” Mrs. Park was reluctant alright.

“It’s a good idea.” But Mr. Park agreed at once. “She can take her time to heal the wound. It won’t be easy too since it is her first love.”

“Yes, appa! I have a friend in Canada too. Remember Kris?”

“The tall Chinese friend of yours?”

“Yup! He’s in Canada now.”

“Why is he there?”

“He’s born in Canada, omma. His family came to Korea until 2012 and they returned to Canada.” Chanyeol explained. “I’ll have Jiyeon stay with him. What do you think? Jiyeon will continue her studies there too. Her English are good, so she will be able to do well there.”

Mrs. Park finally agreed with the idea after much persuasion. “We’ll have to ask Jiyeon for her thoughts first.”

“Of course, omma.”

Chanyeol walked up to her room, trying to check on her only to find her awake on bed. “Hey, baby sis.”

Jiyeon smiled sadly as she looked at Chanyeol with her big watery eyes. “Oppa…”

Chanyeol took a sit by her side and engulfed her into his big arms. “Dukk! My baby sis isn’t this weak, right? You won’t cry over such small matter.”

“But it hurts, oppa.”

Chanyeol her head gently, pushing it into his chest. “You’ll grow to accept it, baby sis. This is life. We have to move on in the end so why not do it now, don’t you think so?”

“Hmm…”

Chanyeol giggled as he patted her arm lightly, “I have an idea, baby sis.”

“What is it?”

“Wanna move to Canada?”

“Canada?”

“Remember Kris oppa?”

“Of course I do.”

“He’s over there now, you know it too. He’s living alone in an apartment, and he’s studying business too. You can stay with him and study there. What do you think? It’s a good chance to forget everything here.”

“Oppa…”

“Hmm?”

“Can I take my time over there?”

“Of course!”

“Will Kris be there for me if I cry too?”

“I bet he will.” Chanyeol cooed. “He’s a damn nice guy.”

Jiyeon finally smiled. “Okay. I’ll go.”

“Really?”

“Yes. When am I flying?”

“Tomorrow night. Is it alright?”

“Okay.”

Chanyeol was glad she agreed. She doesn’t want her to be hurting anymore. She had to leave. She too, was trying to use this as an opportunity to leave this heartbroken place.

“I’ll go to school tomorrow, oppa.”

“What for? I’ll get the papers done for you.”

“I have to talk to him.”

“Baby sis-”

“I will end it with him, oppa. I don’t want to leave with this relationship hanging like this.”

“Do you need me to be with you?”

“Of course not.” Jiyeon cooed, finally smiling genuinely. “I’m your strong baby sis, right?”

“Damn right.”

That night, they slept together on the same bed, just like the old times.

“I saw you yesterday at the mall, oppa.”

Myungsoo stiffened up at once as he widened his eyes. “Jiyeon-ah-”

“Save the explanation, oppa.” Jiyeon stopped him instead, and yet, he was smiling. “I just want an answer.”

Myungsoo lowered his head in shame, not even daring to look right into her eyes.

“How long?”

Silence.

“How long did you go out with Jiyoon?”

“A month.”

Jiyeon sighed in relieved. “At least you were truthful to me for the last eleven months.”

“Jiyeon-ah…”

“Don’t worry, oppa. I’m not blaming you for it. Things happened, I’m not good enough for you, you have a change of heart, Jiyoon suddenly looks attractive to you, I understand.”

“No-”

“Don’t deny it, oppa. You sent her the same gaze you sent to me months ago.” Jiyeon smiled sadly. “Be good to her okay?”

“No. No! I’ll break up with her! No! This isn’t right! I’ll end it with her.” Myungsoo started panicking as he held her arms, shaking her lightly.

“Oppa…” Jiyeon whispered sadly, not meeting his eyes this time. “I think it’s better to end us.”

“NO!”

“It is.” Jiyeon used all of her strength to push his hands away from her arms. “I’ll be moving, oppa. I need time. If we meet again in the future, I hope we’ll not treat each other as strangers.”

Jiyeon bowed politely before walking away from his side.

Myungsoo couldn’t move at all. His legs were stuck onto the grass. He couldn’t move. No, he could, but he didn’t have the right to move.

And he broke down on the spot.

It was his fault, he knew it.

And when she was gone, did he realize it was too late to get his love back. It was his fault, and he blamed no one but himself.

Jiyeon met Chanyeol at the school’s gate proudly.

“All done?”

“Yes.”

Together, they left for home. When night arrived, they sent her to the airport together indeed.
