Sort of frenemy. They bickers everyday and every night because they were neighbours and their parents were old friends. When Baekhyun said yes to Taeyeon's confession, Baekhyun and Jiyeon acted like strangers. Simple, Jiyeon has a crush toward Baekhyun for a long time. “JIYEON-AH! WAKE UP~ BREAKFAST IS READY!”

Jiyeon stirred in her sleep but she had no plans to wake up.

“JIYEON-AH!”

“Eomonim!”

“Ah! Baekhyun! You’re here!”

Baekhyun smiled widely as he walked over to Jiyeon’s mother, “Yup! What’s for breakfast today?”

It was always like this.

Baekhyun was their neighbour and he would always come over for breakfast – as insisted by Jiyeon’s mother since Baekhyun’s parents were both at work.

“Scrambled eggs, bacons and ham! Like it?”

“Of course! I like whatever you cook, eomonim~”

Jiyeon’s mother always saw him as her own son, and he always said sweet things to make her happy. “Ah! Wake Jiyeon up, would you? She’s still in bed.”

“This late?! It’s time for school!”

“Yes. You know her, Baekhyun.”

Baekhyun gave her cheek a peck before skipping up the stairs, walking right into Jiyeon’s room.

There she was.

Lying with her tummy facing down, hair messed up, one leg down onto the ground and blanket covering half her body.

How untidy.

But that was her.

Baekhyun let out a smirk before walking over to her side, pulling the blanket away happily. “PARK JIYEON!!!!!!”

Jiyeon stirred, but did not wake up.

Baekhyun didn’t think twice and jumped on top her right at once.

This time, she opened her eyes widely at the sudden weight which made her almost breathless. She turned her head only to find the famous Baekhyun on top of her.

“B-B-BYUN!!!!!! GO!!!!!! AWAYYYY!!!!!!!!!”

Baekhyun jumped down from the bed with a satisfied smile. “Ja~ Wake up now, pig! Time to go to school~”

He left her room, skipped down the stairs and went to the dining table merrily, leaving a dumbfounded Jiyeon behind.

She could still hear his proud announcement loudly: “Eomonim~ Jiyeon’s awake now thanks to me!! Do I get extra bacon?”

Jiyeon rolled her eyes when she heard her mother’s famous sweet giggling – which was only for Baekhyun.

She washed up, changed into her uniform and hurried down to the dining table for breakfast, but only to find her plates without scrambled eggs.

“Omma! Where’s my eggs?!”

“Eo? I placed it in your plate a while ago.”

Jiyeon turned to Baekhyun at once, with her eyes narrowed, and glared at him angrily. “BYUN BAEKHYUN!”

“WHAT?!”

“YOU TOOK MY EGGS!”

“IT WASN’T ME!”

“IT’S YOU!”

“NO!”

Jiyeon growled lowly and stormed over to his side, just to pick the piece of eggs away from his lips, “SEE! EGGS!”

“I HAVE IT TOO!”

“BUT YOU TOOK IT FROM MY PLATE TOO!”

“Kids~ Stop bickering now! I’ll make more eggs for you alright? Yeon, sit down now.”

“OMMA!”

“Sit.”

Jiyeon pouted sadly before sitting down obediently on her seat. “You’re always on his side, omma.”

“I did not.”

“Yes you did.”

“Stop.”

Jiyeon stopped at once with her lips still pouted. “Fine. You’re always against me.”

Jiyeon’s mother smiled at her silly daughter before walking back to the kitchen to cook more scrambled eggs for her.

While waiting, Baekhyun just had to disturb her again.

He smiled sheepishly while watching her picking her ham up and placed it into . *Volcano eruption in 3... 2... 1!*

“AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Baekhyun doubled over in laughter while holding onto his tummy, since she looked so funny and ridiculous.

“BYUN BAEKHYUN!!!!!!”

“What~?”

“YOU KNOW I CAN’T TAKE CHILLI!!!!!!!”

Baekhyun continued laughing, while Jiyeon hurried to the kitchen to get a cup of water for herself. After the spiciness was gone, she rushed back to the dining area just to give Baekhyun a tight slap on his back.

“YAH!”

“WHAT?!”

“WHY DID YOU HIT ME?!”

“YOU STARTED IT!”

“NO I DID NOT!”

Jiyeon’s mother came into the scene and patted Baekhyun’s head, “You started it, boy. I’m her witness~”

“AHA! SEE! OMMA’S ON MY SIDE NOW!” She even pulled her tongue out to , but he simply ignored it.

Jiyeon quickly finished her breakfast, and they were gone to school again – just like every other day.

They got into the same school, in the same class, and were often being called the ‘frienemy’ of the school.

They bickered a lot in school too, but everyone knew they were friends/neighbours.

“YAH! BAEKHYUN!”

“WHAT?”

“WAIT FOR ME!”

“WHY SHOULD I?!”

“YOU’RE TOO FAST!”

“CAUSE YOU’RE SLOW!”

Jiyeon pouted sadly as she followed his footsteps on the snow to school. “Stupid Baekie, always bullying me.”

Baekhyun heard it.

He smiled as he walked ahead, feeling happy she was right behind him as always.

They reached school in no time, and lessons began. They sat next to each other too, and sometimes, they even bickered during lessons.

Well, let’s just say the teachers always let them off since they’re entertaining to watch.

Jiyeon was about to go for lunch, but spotted Baekhyun pulling a note out from his book. “What’s this?!”

Baekhyun shrugged his shoulders and opened it.

“Dear Baekhyun,

Please come to the garden during lunch! I’ll be waiting!

Taeyeon.”

“TAEYEON! KIM TAEYEON?! THE KIM TAEYEON?!” Baekhyun was far than excited. “SHE ASKED ME TO MEET HER! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!”

“Who’s Kim Taeyeon?”

“YOU DON’T KNOW HER?! SHE’S THE GODDESS OF OUR SENIOR BATCH!”

“Nope.”

“Fine. Whatever~” Baekhyun smirked, “You don’t know anything, pig.”

“YAH! SNAKE!”

Baekhyun didn’t even bother to fight back since he was so happy to meet Taeyeon. “Bye, pig. I’m going to meet my Taeyeon now~ Go for lunch on your own!”

Jiyeon huffed angrily and was about to go to the cafeteria, but she decided to follow him in the end. She just had to see who that Kim Taeyeon was.

Indeed, she was a real beauty. *No wonder she’s the goddess of the senior batch. She’s really beautiful.*

Jiyeon frowned when she saw how happy Baekhyun was. *You’re not even happy when you see me. You only know how to bully me.*
