“Jagiya, are you really leaving me?”

The innocent and young high school girl cried while looking at her current soon-to-be ex-boyfriend.

“I’m a playboy.“ The guy smirked. “I agreed to go out with you because of that bet. You heard that too right? My friend challenged me to go out with the nerd in school for one month and I will get a new car.”

“No Jagiya! You’re lying to me, right? You love me too, right? Please tell me that! Please don’t leave me!” She cried and held onto his arms tightly, afraid of losing the touch.

“Get lost, Park Jiyeon. You’re a nerd and I won’t go out with nerds. I get what I wanted and you get it too! One month dating me, the most handsome guy in the world.” He smirked once again and pushed her hands away harshly. 

“Don’t ever call me that again and we’re over. Don’t ever disturb me again.” He turned around and walked towards his new girl.

“Let’s go, Naeun honey~” Jiyeon could hear him sang out her name and she saw him wound his arms around her waist.

Jiyeon looked up, with tears on her face, to see if Myungsoo would turn his head around to say he didn’t mean what he did but no. He did not.

Instead, Naeun turned her head around and smirked. “Get lost, nerd.” Jiyeon could see Naeun’s mouth moving.

Naeun always bullied her and gave her names since she declared she got ‘her’ Myungsoo.

That was the last time she saw Myungsoo and Naeun since she requested for a transfer of school the very next day.

“That conceited jerk. Why do I still love him after 5 years?” Jiyeon the screen on her phone. That was the only photo she has with Myungsoo. They took it while they were still together, during that one month dating period.

“I should have known. You didn’t love me at all. Even your smile in this picture seems so fake.” Now she could see the real Myungsoo beneath that photo. But she couldn’t bring herself to delete that photo away.

“Kim Myungsoo. Can’t you just get out of my mind and heart? I don’t want to love you till I die. Nobody will want me anymore.”

Jiyeon sighed for the umpteenth time that night and finally forced herself to sleep since she has to work the next day.

“Welcome to Yeon’s Café!~” She could hear her employees shouted after the bell on the front door rang.

She opened one café near Apgujeong after she graduated from high school and earned some money. Since young, her dream was to open an eatery for people to rest and enjoy her coffee. She even changed her attire and appeared more beautifully after she left that high school. She doesn’t want to be a nerd anymore.

She was checking out the documents in her small office area when one of her employee entered the room.

“Jiyeonie! Ahyoungie said she can’t come today.” The cutie pie, Zelo, pouted and showed his puppy eyes to his boss.

“Really? Then what should I do now?” Jiyeon pouted back.

“Come out and help me! I can’t cope alone in this HUGEEEEEEE café!” He exaggerated everything which made Jiyeon laughed at his silliness.

“Okay, I will come out once I settled this okay? Go out and serve first!” She patted his head.

“Yes noona!” Zelo saluted and walked out of the room briskly.

She settled her documents quickly and exited to room to help out at the counter.

“Welcome to Yeon’s Café!” She shouted once she heard the bell rang but didn’t notice who was coming in since she was busy counting the money in the drawer.

“Well, well. This world is so small~ we meet again, Park Jiyeon.”

Jiyeon frowned and looked up at that familiar voice.

“N-Naeun…”

Her eyes widened at the girl she didn’t want to see the most.

“How are you doing huh? I didn’t see you after THAT DAY.” She emphasized on that word and smirked at her.

“I’m fine. So, what do you want to drink?” She regained her posture quickly and ignored her teasing. She was not the past Jiyeon anymore. She didn’t want to get look down at anymore.

Naeun scoffed and slammed her sunglass on the counter top. “Don’t ignore me, nerd.”

Jiyeon ignored that again and remained firm, “if you didn’t want something, please leave.”
