Chanyeon, Myungyeon

Chanyeol, Jiyeon and Myungsoo were best friends. Jiyeon and Myungsoo were happy couple and Chanyeol was the other guy. After marriage, Myungsoo started to change, he became hot tempered. Jiyeon asked Chanyeol help since he was a doctor and it turned out Myungsoo was a psycho.

“Chanyeol oppa!”

The said guy forced a smile and jogged over to the couple who was already seated down at their usual table. “Hey! I’m sorry I’m late!”

“It’s fine, oppa! I’ve ordered your favourite Americano!”

“Thanks.” And he felt better at once. “So… what do you want to tell me?”

Myungsoo beamed proudly and brought their hands up, showing off their rings to him. “We’re going to get married!”

Chanyeol almost spit his coffee out. “Married?”

“Yes! Isn’t it good?! Oppa! You should be the best man, okay?!”

Chanyeol couldn’t do anything but to nod his head and congratulated them. *How I wish I didn’t appear tonight instead.*

This poor guy always harboured a feeling for his best friend, which was also his other best friend’s girlfriend – soon to be wife.

The three of them were childhood friends. They grew up in the same neighbourhood and always played together.

As years passed, the other two showed each other their feelings openly and got together in the end. As for this poor guy, he kept his feelings in his heart.

He dared not show anyone.

He wouldn’t want their friendship to die so he kept his secret to himself.

“Congrats, guys! You are finally settling down!”

Jiyeon giggled shyly as she leaned against Myungsoo’s shoulders. “Oppa~ When are you going to get a girl too?”

“Hmmm… When the time is here!”

“You have to open your eyes and search okay?! Girls don’t fall from the sky on themselves!”

“I will, babo. Just concentrate on getting married.”

The couple laughed at his joke and looked at each other again.

They were happy.

So happy.

They were finally getting married.

“So when is the wedding?”

“Next month on the 8th! You’ll be there, right?”

“Of course. I’m the best man! I should be there!” Chanyeol tried to be happy. “But who will be the bridesmaid?”

“It would be great if you have a girlfriend, oppa~” Jiyeon sighed cutely.

“It’s fine, baby.” Myungsoo smiled, easing her once again. “We’ll just get your cousin to help. Hmm?”

“Okay then!”

And it was solved by the almighty Myungsoo again.

Chanyeol sighed inwardly as he looked at the loving couple. “Ah! I have to go now! Lunch hour is over, have to return to work. We’ll meet again before the wedding, okay?”

“Sure! Bye, oppa! I’ll call you again!”

“Bye, Yeol!”

Chanyeol waved to the couple and left immediately. He turned around the corner and stopped at once, leaning against the brick wall to calm his heart down. “It’s okay. It’s okay, yeol. They’re meant to be, not you.”

He let a tear dropped before returning to the hospital again. He was a doctor – a successful doctor.

The couple continued their discussion about their wedding in the café, giggling and laughing among themselves the whole day.

Jiyeon stood behind the wide brown doors while hooking onto her father’s arms. “Appa~”

“Yes, my baby?”

“Thanks for bringing me up for 24 years.”

“Silly girl. Now it’s your turn to repay me.”

Jiyeon giggled and nodded her head obediently. “Don’t worry, appa. I’ll take care of you and omma now.”

“That’s my girl.” He cooed. “Are you scared?”

“Nope. Nervous.”

“I bet your husband is too.”

Jiyeon giggled cutely once again.

“The music came after the MC spoke, “Let’s go. It’s our cue.” And the door opened for them to enter.

Her father walked Jiyeon down the aisle, into the church, and met Myungsoo at the other side. He handed her hand to Myungsoo and held their hands tightly together. “Take care of my girl, Myungsoo.”

“I will.”

Jiyeon saw Chanyeol by the side and winked at him before turning to the front, fully. Chanyeol couldn’t help but to smile at her cuteness in the end.

The couple faced the front, recited their vows and exchanged rings.

“You may now kiss the bride.”

Myungsoo couldn’t wait any longer. He pulled the veil over her head hurriedly and smashed his lips on hers.

Jiyeon gladly returned it.

And everyone cheered, but not him, not Chanyeol. He clapped his hands with a fake smile on his face, feeling lots of knives throbbing into his chest.

The couple finished the reception and Myungsoo brought Jiyeon back home to rest. Their wedding dinner would be at night, and they will be going there on their own.

“Oppa~ I’m so tired!”

Myungsoo plopped down on the couch, next to Jiyeon, and brought her into his arms willingly. “Really? Should I give you a massage?”

“You would?!”

“If you want to.”

“YES, PLEASE!”

Myungsoo smiled and did give her a massage. Jiyeon sighed in bliss as she closed her eyes, “Thank you, oppa~ You’re the best!”

“Of course I am~”

They settled in, changed their clothing, and without knowing, it was time to head to the hotel for the dinner.

“Baby~ Let’s go! We wouldn’t want to be late, would we?”

Jiyeon hurried down the stairs and ran to his side, crushing into him at once. “Sorry, oppa~ This dress is making me mad! Help me zip it, please?”

He gladly did and even placed a kiss on her bare shoulders.

“Thanks, oppa~ Love you!”

“Love you too.”

They finally moved to the hotel and started the wedding dinner.

Everything was going well for them.

Too well.

They were the role model of every couple out there.

But not for long.

Myungsoo started turning weird – as what Jiyeon could see. Jiyeon was a freelance model so she stayed at home if there was no job for her while Myungsoo was an employee in Samsung. He had a high post though – a director of the HR department.

It all began one night, when he returned home and threw a temper. He walked into the house, slammed the front door hardly, threw his bag onto the couch and pushed everything down from the dining table. The dishes she cooked for him.

Jiyeon was so shocked when she heard the noise. She ran out from the kitchen
