Pairing: Myungyeon, Kyuhyun, IU

Plot: Jiyeon and Myungsoo are childhood friends. They promise to find each other when they grow up because Jiyeon moved to London. When they grow up, Jiyeon didn't remember L and get herself a boyfriend, kyuhyun. When Jiyeon, kyuhyun and IU (jiyeon's bff) went back to Korea, they found L. L still remember Jiyeon and tries everything to make Jiyeon remember him cause L have feelings toward Jiyeon.

“Myungsoo-ah! Say goodbye to your friend now, we’re going home.”

Myungsoo pouted sadly at his mother and shook his head slightly, “Omma, can I stay here longer? I want to play with Jiji!”

“No can do, young boy. Jiji needs to go home too. They’re leaving tonight.”

“Leaving?” Myungsoo frowned innocently and tilted his head to a side, “To where, omma?” He turned over to Jiyeon and stared at her, “Jiji, where are you going?”

Jiyeon shrugged her shoulders and looked confused too, “Oppappa, Jiyeon doesn’t know…”

“Myungsoo-ah, listen to me, okay?”

Myungsoo turned his attention back to his mother who was squatting in front of him.

“Jiji is going to a faraway place. Their family is moving to a new city in London. They won’t be with us now. Jiji is going to take a plane and fly away.”

Myungsoo frowned deeply and his lips were protruding out already, “So Myungsoo can’t see Jiji tomorrow?”

“Not only tomorrow, and the day after, and after. Omma doesn’t know when they will come back too. It will be a long long time.”

Myungsoo sobbed and turned over to Jiyeon, who was already crying at his mother’s words. Why didn’t her parents tell her that before? She just got to know that she will be far away from her friend then

Myungsoo ran to her and hugged her tightly, “JIJI! DON’T GOOOOOO!!!!!”

Jiyeon hugged him back equally tight and wailed loudly, “JIYEON DOESN’T WANT TO GO!!!!!”

Soon, Jiyeon’s mother walked over to them and ruffled her hair, “Jiyeon-ah. Let’s go. We have to pack and get ready to go to the airport. It’s getting late.”

“NOOOOO!!!!” Jiyeon cried even harder and pushed her mother out of reach before hugging Myungsoo tightly. “JIYEON STAYS WITH OPPAPPA!”

“Jiyeon-ah…” Her mother sighed and smiled sadly at Myungsoo’s mother, “Kids…”

“Yeah, I know. It must be sad for them. Let them play a little longer then.”

They agreed and stood by the side, waiting for the two kids to finish their words.

“Jiji, I’ll miss you.”

“Jiyeon doesn’t want to go, oppappa. Jiyeon wants to stay with oppappa.”

Myungsoo was older, and he was able to digest the news faster, “You have to go, Jiji. Promise me then. When you returned, you have to look for me and then we’ll be together, hmm?”

Jiyeon nodded her head rapidly with tears flowing down her cheeks, “Jiji promised! Oppappa promise not to forget Jiyeon too?”

“Oppappa won’t forget Jiyeon.” Myungsoo ruffled her hair before pulling her for a tight hug, “Oppappa will wait for Jiji to come back so we can be together. Oppappa loves Jiji.”

“Jiyeon loves oppappa too.”

In the end, they were being separated.

Jiyeon flew that night to London, and Myungsoo hid in his room to cry the whole night. The sensible 8 year old child knew what was happening around him. He got the idea that Jiyeon was flying to a faraway land, but he doesn’t know where London was.

Still, he kept the promise in his heart, and he decided to wait for her return from that day onwards.

Jiyeon, the other 6 year old sensible kid, fell asleep after hours of crying in the airport, crying for Myungsoo. Her parents had a hard time calming her down and stopped her from making a scene in the plane.

The two kids were best friends ever since they were diapers.

They were born in the same hospital.

Their parents were friends and introduced them to one another.

They got into the same nursery and same pre-school.

Myungsoo got fond of her and she too, grew up playing only with him.

So the separation was sad for them. They just lost their favorite friend in the world, at such young age.

However, at that moment, the two kids kept their promise in mind, and they made sure to fulfill it when they grew up.

“JIYEON-AH! UP UP UP!”

The 19 year old teenager Jiyeon groaned and whined into her pillow, “Omma~ Go away~~~ Jiyeon wants to sleep!”

“Up up up~ Your boyfriend is outside waiting for you already! Don’t be such a sleepyhead and go to school now!”

“KYU KYU IS HERE?!”

That made her jumped out of bed. Her mother stifled back laughter and nodded her head. “He’s outside, sitting on the couch, watching the television and grumbling at your laziness.”

“OH MY GOSH! WHY DIDN’T YOU WAKE ME UP EARLIER, OMMA?!”

Her mother scoffed playfully as Jiyeon ran to the bathroom to get ready. “I’ve been here for the past half an hour, if you haven’t realize, princess.”

“STILLLLLL~~~” Jiyeon yelled with her toothpaste in .

“Wash up and come out already!”

Jiyeon sped up and changed into her new clothes before rushing out of her room. “OMMA, WHERE’S KYU KYU?!”

Her mother smiled innocently and placed the plate of breakfast on the table, “Did I say he’s here? Oops. I think I’m hallucinating now.”

“OMMMMMAAAAA!” Jiyeon sighed and landed on her seat in defeat. “Seriously. You’ll be the death of me! I can sleep for more, omma! It’s so early!”

“You’ll be the death of me instead, princess.” Her mother narrowed her eyes and eyed her, “And you are only left with 30 minutes left before school starts, dear. It’s late, not early. Breakfast is a must too, so eat.”

Jiyeon sighed but she began to dig into her food. “Omma, you’re seriously the best omma ever.”

“I know, I know~” Her mother ignored her sarcasm and dug into her own share too. Jiyeon rolled her eyes and finished up her food quickly before rushing out for school.

She met up with Kyuhyun, who was on his way to her house, right at her doorstep then.

“KYU KYU!”

Kyuhyun opened his arms wide and allowed her to jump right into his arms, “Morning, princess. How are you today?”

Jiyeon pouted sadly and buried her head into his chest, “Kyu Kyu~ Omma woke me up by saying you’re grumbling while waiting for me to wake up. You won’t right?”

“Hmmm…” Kyuhyun pretended to think about it, which made Jiyeon even upset.

“KYU!”

“I won’t, of course.” He gave in at last. He always gave in to her easily. “I won’t do that. You should know. No matter how much of a sleepyhead you are, I will be by your side.”

“I knew it.” Jiyeon giggled and pecked his cheek lightly as a reward before dragging him off to school. “You’re the best, kyu kyu~ I lob you~”

Kyuhyun laughed at her failed English and pecked her too, “I love you too, princess.”

Kyuhyun was her boyfriend for the past two years. He was three years older than her, and they met in a school event one day.

She was helping her class to fix the hard signboard of their store since it was dropping so she used the ladder to climb it up.

The ladder wobbled slightly, and soon, she lost her balance and began to fall backwards.

Kyuhyun, who was nearby helping his class with their store, saw her fall and rushed to her aid. She landed safely in his arms and that was simply love at first sight for the both of them.

He asked her out often, and she agreed to every date.

They got closer day by day, and eventually, he asked for her hands.

With that, two years passed by easily. It had been the fullest two years they had together.

“JIYYEONNNNN-AAAAHHHHHH!”

Jiyeon turned around and found her best friend charging towards her. She had her arms waving highly in the air, and Jiyeon knew she was about to land on her since she wouldn’t brake on time.

Jiyeon closed her eyes and waited for her to crush onto her.

Indeed, her best friend did.

“IU!” Jiyeon rubbed her head and sighed deeply, “How many times must I tell you not to run here?! You’ll cause accidents!”

IU pouted sadly and fixed her own uniform as she stood up, “Sowie~ I got excited seeing you~”

Jiyeon sighed but in the end, laughed it off, “I know, I know. I missed you too~” They got together in a tight hug again.

Kyuhyun shook his head in disbelieved at the two best friends. “You girls are just… wow. That was so dramatic. You met yesterday in school too!”

“Kyu!” Jiyeon slapped his arm before hooking around it tightly, “We just missed each other okay?!”

“Alright alright. Let’s go to class now, kids.”

The couple walked ahead, laughing happily, with IU right beside Jiyeon, and as such, Kyuhyun sent them to their class before returning to his, and agreed to meet up during lunch again.

After their school ended, the couple went out for a date again, leaving IU in the library since she insisted.

Kyuhyun sent Jiyeon back for the night and returned to his own house soon after.

Jiyeon skipped into her house, just to see her parents sitting on the couch, as if waiting for her.

“Appa, omma! I’m back!”

Her mother smiled at her arrival and waved her over. She did as told and walked over to sit right in front of them. “Yes?! What’s wrong?”

“Jiyeon-ah. Listen to us, hmm?”

“Okay, appa. I’m listening.” Jiyeon smiled in return, trying to ease the serious atmosphere down.

“We’re going to return to Korea, princess. My job here is done. Our headquarter is up safely, and so my company is sending me back to Korea. We’ll have to move back soon.”

“Korea?”

“Yes, princess. Our hometown. We’re returning soon.”

“But… Kyu… IU…”

“Tell them about it, princess. I’m sorry to tell you this so suddenly. We’re moving this Friday night. You have to pack your things now.”

Jiyeon frowned at their words. “This Friday?”

“Yes, princess.”

Silence filled the space, and Jiyeon was trying hard to process their words. “I’ll go back to my room now…”

She picked her phone up immediately, and dialed for her boyfriend. “Kyu…”

“What happened, princess? What’s wrong with your voice? Are you crying?”

“Kyu… I’m leaving…”

“Leaving?! To where?!” Kyuhyun panicked at once. “I’m coming right now. Stay at your room!”

She dialed for IU too, and spilled the beans to her.

In no time, Kyuhyun arrived in her room and she managed to spill everything to him. Kyuhyun held him tightly in her arms to calm her down, but she was crying badly at the thought of leaving him, and her best friend.

Kyuhyun stayed with her the whole night, and made sure she was safely asleep on her bed before walking out of her room to make a call.

“Princess, you’re up?” He only slept for a while, since he was busy settling stuffs with his parents the whole night.

“Yes, kyu…”

Kyuhyun giggled at her harsh voice, which came about since she cried so much. “Now wash up. I have something to tell you.”

Jiyeon pouted and shook her head, “Tell me now.”

“Okay, okay.” He sighed and sat on the bed beside her to hug her close, “Don’t be too happy about it, okay? I’m going to Korea with you.”

Jiyeon froze with her eyes widened to its maximum.

“Heard that? I’m going with you, and everything is settled. One more news, IU is coming with us too.”

Jiyeon sobbed and looked up at him with awe, “Kyu… You and IU…”

“Yes we are.” He wiped her tears off with a bright grin on his face, “We’re going with you. We can’t leave you alone.”

Jiyeon wailed loudly into his chest. She was more than relieved to hear that since she was sure she couldn’t leave these two important people behind.

Kyuhyun laughed in bliss and tried calming her down from time to time. *How could I leave you alone? You can’t survive without us, your pillars.* He her hair and sighed inwardly when he found the scar on the back of her head. *I can’t leave you alone after I knew about your past…*
