Jiyeon, Hongbin, Woori

Hongbin has accident and lost his memory. Jiyeon is Hongbin's fiancé but Hongbin forgets Jiyeon. He just knows he likes Woori because she is his first love. Jiyeon still stay with Hongbin because of that Woori and Hongbin really hate her. When Jiyeon chose to leave him and safely arrived on Japan to stay with her oppa and to forget Hongbin. His memory is back.

“OPPPPPPAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Jiyeon widened her eyes in horror as she ran across the road, to where her fiancé was lying on.

She couldn’t believe her eyes.

He was being knocked down when he was crossing the road just to get to her side.

“OPPA! OPPA! HONGBIN OPPA!” Jiyeon cried as she cradled Hongbin in her arms. He has blood bleeding out from his head profusely, and he had his eyes half-closed.

“OPPA! PLEASE! TALK TO ME! LOOK AT ME!”

Hongbin smiled.

He could still smile.

He brought his hand up weakly to her face, and cradled her cheeks gently.

Jiyeon cried even harder against his palm as she held it tightly, “Oppa, please… Don’t leave me alone…”

“I… love… you…”

“OPPA!!!!!!!!”

His eyes were closed, and his hands were lifeless.

Jiyeon yelled countless times for him, but he was still unconscious.

Jiyeon jumped up, wide awake, from her nightmare.

No, it wasn’t a nightmare.

It was real.

She was sitting by Hongbin’s side, with the boy unconscious.

He was being brought to the hospital when then ambulance finally arrived, and was being treated well.

The doctor said he was fine.

His physical injuries weren’t bad, only scratches around his whole body.

Any further injuries had to wait till he wakes up.

Jiyeon checked on him again, to confirm he was safe and secured, before sitting back down on the chair by his bed side.

“Jiyeon-ah.”

Jiyeon looked at his mother, just to send her a smile, “Yes, eomonim?”

“You need to rest too.”

“I’m good, eomonim. I have to make sure he’s good.”

“Hongbin is fine.” Mrs. Lee cooed before walking over to Jiyeon, “I’m more worried about you, my child.”

“I’m really fine, eomonim. I want to be here. I want to see Hongbin open his eyes. He will want to see me first, right?”

“Of course, my child.” Mrs. Lee gave up.

It had been a week, and Hongbin was still unconscious. Jiyeon took all the annual leaves she had left from the company, just to be with Hongbin.

And for the whole week, she hasn’t been sleeping well or eating well.

But she was able to move on – for Hongbin, her fiancé.

“I’ll just go to the washroom eomonim.”

“Alright. Go on. I’m here for Hongbin so don’t worry. Go do whatever you have to do.”

Jiyeon nodded her head and left for the washroom in the corner.

Hongbin’s family was rich, and as such, his family had him placed in a private ward.

Jiyeon did her business and washed her hands, finally taking a good look at herself in the mirror. “You’ll be fine, Park Jiyeon. Oppa needs you now so you’ll be fine.”

She washed her face thoroughly, and encouraged herself again.

“JIYEON-AH! MY CHILD! HONGBIN IS AWAKE!”

Jiyeon couldn’t believe her ears.

She rushed out to the bed and stood close to Hongbin, “Oppa! Oppa, you’re really awake!” He has his eyes opened indeed.

“Oppa! I’m so glad! You’re finally back!”

Jiyeon couldn’t take it any longer. She cried. She cried and wrapped her arms around Hongbin tightly. “Oppa! I missed you so much! Thank you! Thank you for returning to me!”

Hongbin frowned instead.

He had his eyes filled with confusion.

“W-Who are you…?”

That broke Jiyeon’s world apart.

She pulled away slowly, and stared at him in surprise. But a moment after, she let out a dry and awkward laugh, “O-Oppa… Don’t play with me, hmm?”

“What? I’m not joking. I don’t even know you.”

“O-Oppa…”

“I’m not your oppa.” Hongbin frowned deeper as he turned over to his mother, “Omma, where’s Woori?”

“Woori?!”

“Yeah. She’s here, isn’t she? Where’s my girlfriend?”

Jiyeon stumbled down onto the ground in shock. Mrs. Lee hurried over to her side and helped her, but Jiyeon was too surprise to even move.

“My child. Jiyeon-ah. Don’t be like this, eo? We’ll get the doctor her first, alright?”

In the end, the doctor diagnosed Hongbin with memory lost. “I’m sorry to say this but the patient is stuck in the year of 2005. He lost his memories after that.”

“2005…”

Mrs. Lee broke down, but Jiyeon was worse. “He… He was with Woori… and I… I was a nobody…”

“Jiyeon-ah…”

“Eomonim…” Jiyeon turned to his mother and cried even harder, “What should I do? What should I do now? Eomonim… Hongbin oppa doesn’t even remember me. He only remembers Woori.”

“WHAT?!”

The duo stopped crying and turned around, only to find Woori behind them. “Hongbin oppa is in an accident and he only remembers me?!”

That was her chance.

She smirked in victory and walked over to Jiyeon. “Finally. Finally I could have my Hongbin oppa back!”

“NO!” Mrs. Lee refused, of course.

Woori was just a gold-digger, everyone knew that but not Hongbin. But that was in 2005. In 2006, Hongbin finally realized he was wrong about Woori, and broke up with her.

A year later, he met Jiyeon and things happened. They fell so deep in love and Woori often came to disturb them but their relationship was strong.

But now that this happened, Woori got whatever she wanted back.

“You are not to step into this room, gold-digger .”

That was from Mrs. Lee alright.

But Woori didn’t care. “Too bad. Oppa only remembers me now~” She entered nonetheless. “WOORI!”

Jiyeon cried again, when she heard how happy Hongbin was.

“Oh God. Why did she even appear here?!” Mrs. Lee just couldn’t get that right. “She must be stalking Hongbin again!” And that was the only answer she could guess.

Mrs. Lee comforted Jiyeon a little longer, before she finally stopped crying. “Jiyeon-ah. Are you alright?”

“I’m fine, eomonim.”

“Shall we go in now?”

The brave girl nodded her head, and they entered the room together, only to find Woori on Hongbin’s laps.

They were so close, and almost kissing each other on the lips.

Jiyeon bit her lips sadly and avoided that scene, while Mrs. Lee pulled Woori away from her son. “My son is not fully recovered, mind your big please.”

“Omma! Why are you talking to Woori like this? You weren’t like this before!”

“That was when I didn’t know who she really was.” Mrs. Lee rebutted, leaving Woori’s acting skills out again.

“Eomonim… I didn’t do anything wrong… Why are you judging me like this?”

“Hul!” Mrs. Lee just had to scoff at her professional skills. “Stop acting in front of my son, gold-digger.”

“Enough! Omma! This is my girlfriend and she will be someone I want to marry! Please don’t talk to her like that.”

“SON!”

“Please go home, omma. And you too, stranger. I want some alone time with my girlfriend now.”

Jiyeon could literally feel her heart broken into pieces.

She was being called stranger by her fiancé.

No one could imagine how hurt she was.

“YAH! LEE HONGBIN!”

Jiyeon pulled Mrs. Lee back with a weak smile instead. “It’s fine, eomonim. Let’s go. Hongbin needs to rest.”

“Jiyeon-ah…”

“Let’s go, eomonim.”

Jiyeon left the room first, leaving a fiery mother inside.

She glared at the vicious girl for such a long time before leaving the ward, leaving her son. She swore if his son continued doing this, she won’t ever acknowledge him at all.

“Now, baby. Where were we?” Woori returned to her ty self and sat on his laps again, playing around with him.

Hongbin was, once again, being smitten by her tricks.

The next morning, Hongbin woke up to see the stranger he knew in the room. “Why are you here again?”

“Eo! Hongbin! You’re up!”

“Why are you here?”

“I came to help you!”

“I don’t need your help. Where is Woori?”

“Woori? I’ve no idea. She wasn’t here when I arrived.” Jiyeon smiled as she pulled the breakfast over to his front.

“Here. It’s the hospital food. You have to eat it before taking your medicines!”

“I don’t want this.”

“But you need to take in some food before taking medicines though. Take a few bites, hmm?”

Just then, Woori strolled in with bags of fried chickens. “Oppa! I brought your favourite fried chickens!”

Jiyeon frowned at once. “Woori-ssi. Hongbin is a patient and doctor said he can’t take oily food yet.”

“Oh please. You have no rights to have a say in here.” Woori rolled her eyes before placing the fried chickens on top of the hospital food. “Right oppa?”

“Yeah. Get out, stranger.”

Jiyeon frowned, but she wouldn’t back down.

She brought the chickens away and opened the lid of the hospital food again. “You have to take light food, Hongbin oppa.”

“I’m not your oppa!”

“Hongbin-”

“Get out.”

“I-”

“I said get out!” Hongbin yelled as he shoved her away which made her stumbled. Jiyeon managed to balance herself before staring at him with so much sadness in her eyes.

“GET OUT!”

“Alright… I’ll go…” Jiyeon lowered her head sadly, “Please… Don’t exert your body. I’ll go.” And she left with a heavy heart.

The tears just had to flow again, when she walked out of the ward.

And it simply flowed even faster when she heard the laughter in the room – the laughter of Hongbin and Woori.

“Oppa… You promised to be with me forever…”

She knew she shouldn’t blame him. It was his brain playing tricks on him. She knew it, but yet, she couldn’t help but blame him.

People said one would forget something he wouldn’t want to remember.

Does this mean Hongbin wanted to forget Jiyeon badly?

Jiyeon cried when she thought about it again.

She couldn’t help it.

Her fiancé was with another woman, and he was so happy with her – right in front of her eyes.

But she wouldn’t back down – just not yet.

She hasn’t fight enough.

She loved Hongbin whole-heartedly, and she will gain him in return.
