Plot: Jiyeon and Luhan dated ever since they were in middle school. Everyone in school loves those couple. Every night the couple made a promise that whatever happened to one of them will always stay happy. One day Luhan was involved in an accident cause himself to die. After his death Jiyeon still stay happy even though the person who she loves dies. 2 years later a cold-heart guy named Kris came into her school. She falls for him when she first met him. Kris always ignores Jiyeon 'cause he thinks she is annoying. One day Kris says something bad which made Jiyeon really mad and didn't go to school. But what will happen when he finds out why his words made her really upset? Will he apologize to her? Will he fall for her too? And will Jiyeon accept Kris?

“Hannie~ Do you remember what you said when we were 13?”

Luhan raised a brow and looked at his girlfriend blankly, “What was that, baby girl? I love you? You can’t get enough of it? I can tell you that every single minute. I love you, I love you, I love you, I love-”

Jiyeon cupped his mouth with her palm and giggled lightly, “I know that! But you’ve said something else!”

Luhan beamed under her palm and pecked it lightly before pulled it down. “And that is?”

“You really don’t remember?” Jiyeon pouted sadly and looked elsewhere, not in the mood to look at him into his eyes.

Luhan cupped her cheeks and made her face him, “Tell me, please? What did I forget?!”

Jiyeon sighed in defeat and gave in at once, “You said you will bring me to the amusement park when we turned 16! My birthday was 10 days ago and yours was long gone too! Now we haven’t even gone to the amusement park.”

Luhan chuckled amusingly and her cheeks gently, “Just that?”

Jiyeon nodded her head honestly.

“I thought it was something serious that I’ve forgotten about.” Luhan sighed in relief and pecked her lips, “Shall we go then? This weekend? I have lots of free time to spend with you.”

“Don’t you spend your free time with me?” Jiyeon raised a brow and teased, “Don’t tell me you-!”

Luhan pulled her in and kissed her hard on the lips, “Don’t you even dare to say that out.”

Jiyeon giggled sheepishly and pecked his cheek lovingly, “I’m sowie~~”

“Forgiven.” Luhan beamed tucked her hair behind her ears. “Shall we grab some breakfast before going to school?”

“Okay~”

Luhan had stayed over at her apartment the day before. Sometimes, he would stay over and other times, Jiyeon would stay over at his.

They had each other’s stuffs in their own apartment which made everything easier for them.

Their parents were always out for business trips, which left these two alone. They knew about their relationship and they were more than supportive for the both of them.

“Chocolate cake for breakfast?” Luhan scrunched his nose when he was being dragged to the café right beside the school.

“Please, oppa? I want some cake! Cake!”

Luhan sighed and held her hand before pulled her into the café. “Chocolate cake it is then~”

“YES!” Jiyeon giggled and leaned her body against his, “Hannie is the best!”

“Glad that you know that.” Luhan smirked which made Jiyeon chuckled in bliss. “I knew that long ago~”

They finished up their cake and coffee before heading over to the school right next to it, and once they entered the school building, whispers and awes could be heard from the crowd.

They couple had always been the topic of school when they entered. Students admired them who can keep their relationship for so long. It had been 5 years and they were still together, lovely as ever.

The couple never once hesitated to show their love out to the world. They don’t mind skinship out in the public. They don’t mind people to judge them. They don’t mind how people think about them at all.

What matter to them the most were just the both of them. They lived perfectly well all these years and they intended to do that forever.

Once again, the school ended quickly, and the couple met up at the school’s gate. They went to different classes as assigned by the school, but of course, that wouldn’t keep them apart from each other.

“Hannie!”

“Baby girl~” Luhan beamed and wrapped his arm around her waist as she reached his side. “You’re late! What did you do, hmm?”

“I was talking to my project mate about the assignment! Hannie, my partner is a guy! Are you jealous?”

Luhan giggled and pecked the side of her head in bliss, “I would if I see you two too close for comfort. But everyone knows you belong to me. They wouldn’t even dare to touch your hair.”

Jiyeon shook her head and glared at him playfully, “You’re too confident, hannie.”

“I mean it. I warned them before. If they touched your hair, they would receive hell from me.”

Jiyeon widened her eyes in surprise as this was the first time she heard it. “Serious?! You did that?! Why didn’t I know it?!”

“I did it behind your back, of course. Ever since we joined high school, I warned them.”

“Wow.” Jiyeon looked at him in awe, “I didn’t know you did that, hannie.” She began to giggle and lean her head on his shoulder as they walked down the streets happily, “But I’m happy about it.”

“I knew it. I did that to make you happy, baby girl.”

Jiyeon smiled in bliss and snuggled closer to him. “How could I ever live without you, hannie~”

“Of course you can.” Luhan smiled and brushed his fingers through her hair. “Let’s make a deal. Whatever happened to one of us, the other has to live on happily as usual.”

Jiyeon frowned while shaking her head, “I don’t want to be away from you!”

“It’s just a deal. I won’t stay away from you, I promise. But in case, anything happened to me or you, we would live on as usual.”

Jiyeon pouted sadly but she managed to nod her head slightly. “Okay… But please don’t ever leave me alone.”

Luhan smiled and pulled her even tighter in his arms, “I won’t, baby girl. I don’t even know how to live without you.”

They smiled happily and headed to the mall with wide grins on their face. They went to shop for some groceries before heading back home.

“Baby girl, you go in first. I need to head back home to get something.” Luhan urged her in but Jiyeon shook her head, “Let me go with you.”

“It’s alright. I will be back before you know it.” Luhan back her head and pushed her in. “Go on, baby girl. Be back in a few.”

Jiyeon sighed and obliged. She went into her apartment after seeing him out of sight and kept the groceries back into the fridge.

After which, she sat on the couch and waited for him patiently, but as time went by, Luhan was still nowhere to be seen.

Jiyeon began a worrywart and she paced around the apartment anxiously. “Nothing will happen to you, hannie…”

Her legs brought her out of her apartment and she leaned against the railing to look down from her level.

No sight of him.

Jiyeon sighed worriedly and paced around the corridor. “Hannie…”

The sky turned even darker and Jiyeon panicked on the spot. She headed back into her apartment and took her coat, preparing to head out to search for him instead.

But right when she finished wearing her coat, her phone rang.

Jiyeon picked it up immediately, thinking that it was her boyfriend, “Hannie?!”

“Hello, is this an acquaintance of Xi Luhan-ssi?”

“Yes, I’m his girlfriend.”

“This is calling from Malwon hospital. Luhan-ssi had gotten into an accident. Please head over to the hospital right now. He is in a critical condition.”

Jiyeon stumbled down onto the floor in a blink of eye. She dropped the phone and stared into the air as tears filled her eyes.

“No…”

Jiyeon cried and shot out of the apartment, rushing over to the hospital at once.

“Luhan… Hannie…” She cried along the whole journey in the cab and her breath became uneven. “Hannie…”

“We’ve reached, miss.”

“Thank you.” Jiyeon pushed notes to the driver but he pushed them back to her, “Go in, miss. I hope your friend is alright.”

“Thank you.” Jiyeon bowed politely and rushed into the hospital quickly. “Hannie…”

“Where’s Luhan? Xi Luhan!” She rushed to the counter and demanded for an answer.

The nurse searched up the system and told her what she wanted, “Luhan-ssi is in the emergency theatre. Turn right at the end and you will see it.”

Jiyeon turned her head to the direction the nurse was pointing at and dashed down immediately.

“LUHAN! XI LUHAN! COME OUT NOW! WAKE UP!” Jiyeon pounced hardly onto the theatre door but there was no response. Nurses around pulled her back and hushed her down by the chair.

Jiyeon did as told and stayed still on the chair with countless of thoughts in her mind. Her parents arrived soon after with Luhan’s parents since they were just in Jeju Island.

“APPA! OMMA!”

Her parents held her tightly and comfort her.

Together, they waited outside the theatre for hours before the doctor came out. “I’m sorry. The patient couldn’t make it.”

The 5 of them cried in devastation and broke down in front of the doctor. They cried as they rushed in to see Luhan for the last time.

“NOOO!!! HANNIE!!!” Jiyeon was the worst among them. She kneeled next to his cold body and cried for a long time. “WAKE UP, HANNIE!!!”

She cried next to him for the next few hours before her parents could pull her away. They met an officer outside the theatre room and she walked up to them.

“The patient was hit by a drunk driver. He had been caught and will be punished by law. I’m sorry to hear that. This is from him when he fainted.”

Jiyeon took the bag of his belonging over and looked through it. His phone and his wallet were in it.

“And this. He held onto it tightly in his palms when he lost consciousness.”

Jiyeon stared at the bracelet on his palm and took it over slowly. All she could feel were tears b on her eyes again.

This was the thing he went home for? Jiyeon stared at the bracelet and brushed it gently with her fingers. It spelled LH & JY in the bracelet.

Jiyeon cried as she put it around her wrist.

*Hannie… I miss you already… Why did you even make me promise you with that deal?! How could I ever live happily without you by my side? I will try but there are no promises I could do it, Hannie… I will try.*

The news spread around the school in no time. Students knew about the incident and would send Jiyeon sad and pitiful glances when they walked passed her.

Jiyeon smiled weakly at every one of them and bowed politely when she accounted with one.

Her parents ignored their business, for the first time in their life, and stayed with Jiyeon for a while. They had to make sure their daughter will be fine before they started working again. They still got in contact with Luhan’s parents, and were still friends as usual.

Jiyeon managed to pull herself back to normal only after 8 months. She managed to place a smile back on her face when she remembered their promise.

“I promise Hannie I will be happy when he’s gone. He would do the same thing too.”

She would encourage herself with that every morning before heading off to school. That was the only encouragement for her, alongside the bracelet on her wrist. Never once had she took it off.

With that, 2 years had gone ever since the accident.

Students wouldn’t even talk to her about Luhan, in case she would fall back into sadness and depression again. So they dare not mention his name to her at all.

Jiyeon began to live like a normal student once again, as time went by. Her smile was pure and gentle as usual, and her heart was beating as normal.

Although she would miss Luhan often, she would still go on with her own live. She finally managed to place Luhan in her memory. It was one of her perfect and beautiful pieces of memory.

Jiyeon will turn 18 a few days later. That was how fast time flew. She continued her lesson as always and did even better than before. She made sure she would do well because Luhan would want that to happen too.

She even made two new friends throughout these two years. It’s more amazing as they were twins!

Jiyeon entered the school building after taking a breakfast at the same old café, and walked down the hallway with a bright smile on her face. Students would greet her as usual, and she would return the favor.
