“APPA! LOOK OUT!” Jiyeon screamed when she spotted a huge truck charging towards their car. The whole family screamed, and in just a few moment, the car was being overturned countless times, and finally stopped.

Jiyeon moved when she felt her senses returning, but her left leg was stuck.

With no other choices, she stretched her arms out, trying to get her father, “Appa…” He’s too far.

“Omma…” Then she tried reaching for her mother, but she was far away too.

“Oppa…” Her brother, who was beside her the whole time, remained unconscious and never once opened his eyes.

Blood were flowing down from their head, and everywhere.

It was horrifying.

She was bleeding a lot, but she was the only conscious one. She called for her family until the paramedics came, before she finally lost her senses.

Jiyeon woke up when her senses finally returned, but she could feel a huge sting in her head immediately.

She tried moving up to sit on the bed as she scanned the room. “Hospital…” She knew it was hospital since it was just like a ward, and the smell too.

The door opened, and a nurse came in. “You’re awake! How are you feeling, Jiyeon?”

Jiyeon ignored her questions and asked some instead, “Nurse! Where is my appa and my omma? Oppa too! Are they okay?”

The nurse bit her lips and walked over to her, patting her shoulders lightly, “I’m sorry, Jiyeon. They were already gone when they were brought in. You are the only survivor.”

“No… It can’t be!” Jiyeon lost it.

“Jiyeon, please calm down.” The nurse tried helping her, but Jiyeon pushed her away.

“APPA!!!!”

“OMMA!!!!!!”

Jiyeon yelled in agony as she stormed out of her ward. “APPA!!! WHERE ARE YOU?! OMMA!!! OPPPAAAA!!!!!!”

The nurse ran after her and caught her immediately, but Jiyeon shrugged her off again.

“OPPA! ANSWER ME!”

Every people in the hospital looked at her as though she was crazy. But she wasn’t. “APPA!!!! OMMA!!!! STOP PLAYING AND COME OUT!!!! OPPAAAA!!!!!”

Two nurses ran up to her and helped her too, grabbing her back to her ward.

The doctor gave her a jab before she fell into deep sleep again.

The next time Jiyeon woke up, she was told to get her family members’ bodies. It was cruel, but it was needed.

The same nurse guided her to her family, and she lost it once again.

When Jiyeon saw their bodies, she fell onto the ground, crying hardly for them to wake up, but no. They remained still, and cold.

The funeral was being taken place the next day, in the same hospital, and was done in three days. Jiyeon’s aunts and uncles did help too, since Jiyeon was left alone.

“Jiyeon-ah… Please stay strong.” Everyone who came said that, but how could she stay strong? She lost her family members, every members, in just a day.

They were happily talking about the trip to Busan during the next vacation after a dinner together, and she lost her family.

It was so cruel.

Jiyeon cried the most when they closed the coffin cover, and finally, the funeral was over.

She was being sent back home by her aunt, and she took care of her until she fell asleep before returning back home.

Jiyeon woke up in the middle of the night because of a nightmare, and cried till morning without sleeping.

She was afraid to see that scene again.

She doesn’t like it at all.

Her family was dead.

Jiyeon took 3 days to finally stand up again. She stayed in her room, without eating and drinking. Her aunt helped, but she didn’t want it.

But when her aunt finally brought her family album to her, she opened her eyes and heart again.

She looked at the photos as she recalled what her parents said to her before.

“Jiyeon-ah, remember to move on and be happy if we are not around. Remember, we will always be in your heart.”

Even her brother said sweet things too. “Baby sis. Remember oppa will always love you and only you.”

That was enough.

Jiyeon kept that in mind, and she finally pulled herself together.

She returned to school and finished her studies, and finally graduated from high school. From there, she could use her studies to apply for university, and she did.

She knew her family would be proud of her too, since she got into her dream course: arts.

Jiyeon started school in no time, and she was coping well with it.

Of course, she was looking for job too. Thank goodness her apartment was under her parents’ name, so it automatically moved to become hers.

All she needed was money for the daily expenses. She needed a part-time job for that.

Jiyeon finally found a job, and started working for the café.

“Welcome to M&H Café!” Jiyeon greeted the nth customer of that day as the door bell rang, and beamed widely at the guy. “Hello! What would you like to get?”

The guy stared at the menu for a long time, before Jiyeon spoke again. “Do you want to try our new coffee? It’s called Toffee Hazelnut! It’s real yummy! It’s my favorite!”

“Really?”

“YUP!”

“If you say so, then I’ll get it.” The guy paid for his drink and moved to a corner to enjoy his drink. Indeed, it was nice as she said.

His eyes returned to the counter girl and remained there for the whole day.

Actually, he had been eyeing the girl for a long time, from afar of course, and he finally found the courage to approach her.

Well, he didn’t really approach too.

But all in all, he was satisfied he got the chance to talk to her.

“Sir! You’re still here?!”

The stranger snapped out from his dream and smiled lightly, “Yeah… I’m enjoying the coffee. It’s really nice. Am I disturbing?”

“No! Of course not!” Jiyeon waved her hands around, afraid she had hurt him, but thank goodness, he let out a wide smile.

“Are you closing?”

“Yeah… It’s 9PM already! Manager oppa has gone home, and I have school tomorrow morning too! He said I can just close if I’m tired!”

“I see… I can wait for you!”

“Eh? It’s okay! I’m fine alone!”

“It’s alright. I have nothing to do too.”

“Hmm… Okay then! I won’t take long!” Jiyeon chirped before hopping back to the back room to get changed.

The guy was surprised by himself too. He didn’t know he could be this daring too.

Jiyeon returned to the front café after getting changed, and finally, they walked out of the café together.

“I’m Myungsoo. Kim Myungsoo.”

“I’m Park Jiyeon! Nice to meet you, Myungsoo~”

“How old are you?”

“I’m 20 this year~”

“I’m your oppa then!”

Jiyeon followed him to his car willingly, and he really did fetch her home. They talked the whole trip home, and realized they had so many things in common.

They went to dates together almost every day, and even the school knew about their relationship. Myungsoo told Jiyeon about her family, and Jiyeon told him too.

They simply shared everything together.

Sometimes, they would even stay over at each other’s houses too.

They were so happy.

They felt the happiness and blissfulness in their relationship. They just loved each other so much.

Jiyeon got a call from the hospital, since she was on Myungsoo’s speed dial, only to find out he was in an accident.

The whole nightmare began again.
