Myungsoo and Jiyeon know each other since for a very very long time, since they're from wealthy families and their parents were business partners, they attended same schools, and grew up together.

Myungsoo’s mother died after giving birth to him and his father blamed him for that and never pays any attention to him. That's why Myungsoo became cold and arrogant since he was a kid. 

In high school, Myungsoo became a big playboy. He always went to clubs and banging every girl he met there. Girls was drooling over him too since he has money and looks and he would dump them the next day. Everyone sees him as a jerk and a heartless person. But no one knows he has someone he loved too: Jiyeon. He fell in love with her, since the first time he saw her, since they were kids. But Jiyeon was so precious to him, she was like a princess, like a diamond and he feels like he don't deserve her at all. That's why he became a playboy, to forget his feelings for her.

For Jiyeon, Myungsoo was definitely not her prince charming. Since they were kids he was always teasing her and pissing her off, sometimes he even hurts her with his cruel words too. But every times she was in trouble, he was always there to save her, to help her. Myungsoo, for Jiyeon, was more like a dark knight, always keeps an eye on her and protect her from afar. 

Jiyeon never thinks she would fall for him, but eventually, she did. She never judged Myungsoo for his playboy attitude and all, she thinks he needed help, she tried to help him and to confess her feelings for him. But Myungsoo, with his insecurities, keeps pushing her away.

One time, Jiyeon went to some clubs to search for Myungsoo, only to come face to face with ex-s of him. They know Jiyeon, since Myungsoo has her pictures in his wallet and hand phone and all. They hit her and kidnapped her and that’s when MS….

The school had ended for that day, and Jiyeon was on her way back home. However, along the way, she saw Myungsoo hopped into his car.

“Off to clubs again huh…?”

She knew about his schedule.

Well, almost everyone knew about his schedule.

After school had ended, he would head over to clubs, and partied all night. Jiyeon knew he was a playboy. He knew he grew up to be one arrogant and selfish jerk, but she didn’t judge him. Instead, Jiyeon let him be.

They knew each other ever since they were kids. They met in pre-school, and went to the same schools ever since.

She thought it was just how he was since he was always teasing and bullying her since young.

Jiyeon walked down the side walk with her favourite bunny earmuffs on, while her hands were grabbing tightly onto her bag’s strap.

It was cold, and she was lucky to bring scarf and gloves out that morning.

Myungsoo slowed his car down when he spotted her figure right in front of him. He smiled when he saw how she was skipping down the lane, trying to get home hurriedly.

That was the only time he would smile.

He loved that girl.

He loved that girl so much that he couldn’t hurt her.

And because he wasn’t perfect like she was, he knew he couldn’t get near her.

He doesn’t deserve her, and he doesn’t want to hurt her.

In the end, he ended up in clubs every night, banging women so he could forget about his deep love for Jiyeon.

But it was all to no avail.

Jiyeon would appear in Myungsoo’s mind every now and then, not escaping at all.

Myungsoo shook his head to get rid of that thought again. He can’t love her, or she will suffer. That was what he thought.

He stepped onto the speed pedal and drove passed Jiyeon, surprising her instead. She jumped in surprise when her skirt flew and looked at his car, “Stupid Myungsoo. Always doing things to make me angry!”

And she stormed back to her house, which was just around the corner.

Myungsoo went to club, indeed.

He danced happily in the middle of the club and when he was tired, he stood by the bar just to get a drink.

He was underage, but who cared.

As long as he was rich, he could get whatever he wanted.

“Myungsoo~”

He dropped his cup onto the table and smirked once he heard a ’s voice. The bartender smirked too and nodded his head to the girl by his side, “You have a big order tonight again, Myungsoo.”

The said person smirked in victory, turned his head to the , and gave her a wink, “You know my rules, don’t you?”

“Of course. Who wouldn’t know?” That leaned on him and ran her finger down his chest, sultrily, “ting, and that’s it. No more, no less. I’ll satisfy you, Myungsoo~”

The girl smirked and walked towards a VIP booth, “Noona will be waiting, Myungsoo~”

“Enjoy your one night stand, Myungsoo!”

Myungsoo gave a last smirk to the bartender before heading to the VIP booth as well. He did it once again that night, and left the girl alone in the VIP booth before heading back home.

To his dismay, his father was waiting in the living room.

“You’re finally back? It’s 4AM.”

“And you’re still awake.” Myungsoo argued as he walked back to his room, but his father roared, “DON’T TALK BACK TO ME, YOU UNFILIAL SON!”

“THEN WHY DID YOU EVEN GIVE BIRTH TO ME?!” He yelled too, and stormed back to his room not after slamming his door shut loudly.

Myungsoo groaned in frustration and slammed his whole body on the bed tiredly. “!” And all he did was to curse.

But once he saw the photo on his phone, he turned all better again. “Jiyeon-ah. It seems like you’re my only medicine.”

He finally let out a smile again.

Myungsoo hopped into his car, as usual, after the school ended again. He started the engine and sped out of the school.

But his eyes were wide awake.

He was trying to spot his love somewhere.

And he found it.

But to his horror, she was being surrounded by a group of guys from the school at the other end of the town.

Jiyeon still had her bunny earmuff on and she was trying to escape, but the boys were crowding around her. One of them even snatched her earmuff away from her.

Myungsoo grew mad and hopped down of the car at once before storming over to them. His anger was rising, and he had no cool in him then.

“Let her go.” He stood behind the three guys and hissed lowly.

Of course, it caught the attention of the boys, and they smirked at him in amusement, “Hul~ What’s a junior doing here?”

Jiyeon bit her lips and looked at Myungsoo, and he knew she was afraid.

Myungsoo rolled his eyes and cracked his neck, preparing for a fight at once. “Let her off at once. It’s my last warning.”

“Aigoo~” One of them scoffed and walked closer to Myungsoo, but only to receive a punch from him.

“I said let her go, didn’t I?”

The other two wasn’t afraid of course, and they charged towards Myungsoo instead. Myungsoo fought back, and he took the two guys down in no time.

“I said don’t touch her, didn’t I?!” He yelled and was about to charge towards the beaten up guys on the ground, but Jiyeon held his arm back, “It’s okay, Myung.”

Myungsoo yanked her hands away and picked the bunny earmuff on the ground before turning to face her, “Don’t let them bother you again, stupid. Can’t you take care of yourself?!”

Jiyeon had her head lowered and her lips were pouted.

Myungsoo was fighting his urge to kiss her right then, and he simply pushed the earmuff on her ears, “Go home now.”

Jiyeon looked up only to find Myungsoo walking away, “Myung!”

He stopped, but he didn’t turn around, and Jiyeon continued.

“Thank you.”

He smiled warmly and walked ahead, not bothering to reply her. He just had to do it. He had to help. He had to save his love.

How could he not?

He had to save her.

However, Myungsoo went to the club the next moment, just to keep her out of his mind. It was an hectic day that evening.

Jiyeon returned home and sat on her bed as she stared ahead blankly.

Her mind returned to how Myungsoo saved her before.

It was so sudden.

Not because of him saving her.

It was sudden because she suddenly felt Myungsoo was so handsome.

They had known each other for lives, and it was the first time Jiyeon found Myungsoo that suave. She was smitten by him.

 It was weird for her, of course.

She wouldn’t have imagined Myungsoo to be the one she was looking for.

Myungsoo was a playboy, and he was arrogant, and he was always playing tricks on her, but yet, she didn’t blame him.

She wasn’t irritated and mad too.

She knew why Myungsoo turned out to be like this.

It was because of his family.

She knew it well.

She knew everything about him.

She knew his mother died when she gave birth to him, and she knew his father was blaming him on his mother’s death.

It was a tragedy, and it wasn’t Myungsoo’s fault. His father just couldn’t see it, but Jiyeon could. And she felt bad for Myungsoo.

That was it, before.

Up till that day, Jiyeon had always pitied and felt bad for Myungsoo.

But from that moment onwards, it doesn’t seem to be that way anymore. Jiyeon felt something burning in her heart whenever she thought about Myungsoo.

It was a nice feeling to her though, and she loved that feeling.
