Park Jiyeon was a fan.

No, I don’t mean the fan which produced wind.

I mean a fan which supports a group of artists.

And she was a fan of the group named EXO.

Ever since EXO debut with Mama, she was with them. She was being attracted by them. All of them, especially one: Byun Baekhyun.

He was a year older than her, which made her so happy.

Her ideal relationship was getting a man just a year older than her.

Well, she sure can fantasize sometimes, right? That’s how all fans do nowadays.

Some fans were even crazy enough to edit their photos with their idols, as though they were really a couple.

No, Jiyeon wasn’t like that.

She was normal.

It was just… all in her mind, that’s all.

She fantasized a lot. That wasn’t a bad thing too. Girls sometimes need something to distract them from stress.

Well, Jiyeon’s stress would be school.

But that wasn’t something that would stop her from chasing after EXO.

She bought their discs – every album – and even went to every concert and fan-meets of EXO. She just wanted to witness their success.

She joined EXO’s fanclub too, but she wasn’t active inside.

She was just a normal fan-girl. Not extreme, and not below average. She was just… normal.

Here came another fan-meet of EXO in Ilsan. She lived in Seoul though, but she travelled to Ilsan just to see them.

She would do that.

She has the money too, since she had a part-time job. She worked, she studied, and she had the time for fan-girling EXO.

She was an organized girl, no worries.

There she was, sitting right in the front row, waiting for EXO to appear. She wasn’t holding onto any placards, not even a paper of Baekhyun’s name. She was just sitting there, beaming the whole time.

No one could describe her anxiety alright.

She could finally see Baekhyun again, after a month of not seeing him at all.

Yes, the previous meeting was at EXO first concert is Korea.

She was so happy.

Finally. Finally, the MC announced the appearance of EXO. Jiyeon sat at her seat, not even standing up like the other fans to greet them.

She was happy, but she was calm.

Right when all 12 of them came out from the back door, fans screamed.

They cheered for EXO, they screamed for EXO, they called their bias names, but not Jiyeon. She sat there, smiling happily just by staring at Baekhyun.

EXO performed two songs from their newest album, chatted with the fans and among themselves, and finally it came to the ‘game’ section.

This was new.

Jiyeon didn’t know it too.

She was just surprised to know about this section, but she knew she wouldn’t be so lucky to be on stage with EXO.

No, it can’t be.

So she sat there, as usual, and waited for the fans to be called.

“Here comes the last lucky fan! Sitting on row…” The MC picked the first box and walked to Sehun. Sehun picked a ball out at once. “Row 1!”

Of course, fans sitting in row 1 screamed while the rest sighed sadly.

And the MC moved over to Baekhyun with another box. He took a ball out, and passed it back to the MC. “SEAT 10! COME ON UP, YOUNG LADY!”

The spotlight shone on Jiyeon’s seat.

The bodyguard was in front of her too.

But she was still lost.

“Come on up, young lady! Are you that shocked?” The MC joked, and finally Jiyeon moved. She walked up to the stage to join other 2 lucky fans that were chosen previously.

“The first game is simple!” The MC cooed, “First. Girls! Choose the boys you want to partner up with!”

The first girl chose Suho immediately.

The second girl can’t choose between D.O and Lay. In the end, the boys decided to decide using scissors-paper-stone. Lay won.

And it was Jiyeon’s turn. “What about you, Young lady! What’s your name?”

“Jiyeon.” She was shy alright.

“So who do you want to choose?”

Jiyeon smiled and pointed at Baekhyun, not even meeting his eyes.

“BAEKHYUN IT IS THEN!” The fans cheered for him, before the MC announced the games to begin.

The first game was easy, popping balloons using their body. They could use any way to pop them. Suho and his partner decided to pop them using her while he carried her up. Lay and his partner decided to just pop them with their hands. Baekhyun approached Jiyeon and told her his idea. “We will pop them using our body!”

“B-But… How?”

“Like this!” Baekhyun smiled sweetly and moved closer to her, placing the balloon in between them. And when the MC announced the start, Baekhyun hugged Jiyeon tightly to pop the balloon.

She was surprised.

But Baekhyun continued doing it.

She let him do it too.

And yes, they won.

Suho and partner lost. But she had a group hug from EXO, which was the best present for a fan-girl.

The next game was to do squat while carrying their girl partner.

One again, Jiyeon and Baekhyun won.

Lay’s partner received a pair of free tickets to their next fan-meet, and as for Jiyeon, she received the same pair of tickets and also a ticket to the backstage.

Fans grew wild at once.

But they were civilized enough to understand Jiyeon was the lucky fan. They left her alone, not snatching the tickets away from her.

When the fan-meet finally ended and after all the fans left, the bodyguard walked up to her again, and guided her to the backstage.

Jiyeon was so nervous.

She was bursting inside.

The bodyguard looked at her expression and let out a small smile, “Excited huh?”

Jiyeon smiled and nodded her head continuously, “Of course! They’re EXO! And I’m going to meet Baekhyun!”

But the bodyguard sighed sadly. “I hope you won’t be disappointed.”

“What do you mean?”

He couldn’t even reply since they had reached the EXO’s room. Jiyeon thanked the bodyguard as he attempted to knock onto the door, but even before he could do it, Jiyeon heard something. From inside.

And it wasn’t nice.

“Yah! Baek! Seems like you caught yourself a hot fan huh?” As Jiyeon could recognize their voices, she knew exactly that was Chanyeol.

“Who? That girl just now? What was her name again?”

“Her name is Jiyeon, Baek!” Suho hissed, “You can’t even remember a name as easy as that? Have some conscience would you? She’s your fan and you didn’t know her? Don’t you realize she was there for every event of ours? And she always had her eyes on you.”

“Oh please. Hyung! Stop lecturing me again!” Baekhyun hissed in return, and the atmosphere was getting worse.

“Wooh, wooh! Chill, hyung!” Sehun finally spoke to lighten the atmosphere. “But Baek hyung! When Jiyeon comes, what would you do?”

“Ask her out, of course!”

“And~?”

“And to the hotel!”

Suho was about to argue again, but he was being cut off by Kris. “No use arguing with him, Suho. He won’t change.”

He shut up at once, not bothering to fix the stupid attitude of Baekhyun’s.

Jiyeon was simply disappointed. She finally knew what the bodyguard meant by not being disappointed.

She was disappointed alright.

Jiyeon was getting teary. She gave the bodyguard a smile when he placed a hand on her shoulder, before handling the backstage pass to him, along with her gift for him. “Erm… Can you please tell them I have something important to handle? And please tell them I love their show tonight.”

“Are you sure? Not going in?”

“Yes.”

“Alright.” The bodyguard sent her to the front door before returning to the waiting room.

“Eo? Where’s the fan girl?!”

“She had something to handle.”

“Awww, man~ Now I had nobody to play with for the night!” Baekhyun groaned before spreading his arms apart on the couch as the other members laughed at his words.

The bodyguard was getting pissed off alright. He had met countless types of idols, and Baekhyun seriously was the worse.

He stormed up to Baekhyun and held him up by his collar, alerting the rest of the members too. “Are you even human?”

“What?!”

“Are you even human, Byun Baekhyun? She left because she heard every word you said, okay?! She left because she was disappointed!” The bodyguard shoved him back to the couch and glared at him, “I swore if it wasn’t for my job now, I will beat the hell out of your, young man.”
