Pairing: Daeyeon, Sunhwa

Plot: Daehyun has an adopted sister name Park Jiyeon. They are always together like couples. One day, a girl name Sunhwa (Daehyun's girlfriend) come into Daehyun life and break Daehyun & Jiyeon apart. Sunhwa is a mean girl. She knows that Jiyeon like her brother Daehyun and she also likes Daehyun so she decided to hurt Jiyeon feeling by having a relationship with Daehyun. At the other hand, Daehyun hate Sunhwa for making Jiyeon and him awkward. He knows that Sunhwa is jealous of Jiyeon who always get his attention.

“Daehyun-ah~”

Daehyun hopped down from the stairs with the toy car in one of his arms, while the other was holding onto the wall for support, “Omma!”

“Come here, baby!”

Daehyun reached the ground floor and charged towards his parents before hugging his mother’s legs tightly, burying his small head into it, “Omma! Daehyun missed you!”

“What about appa? Appa is getting sad now.” His father squatted down to his height and pouted sadly, only to have Daehyun hugging him the next moment.

“APPA TOO! Daehyun missed appa too!!!”

His father giggled in happiness and carried him up swiftly after pulling the toy car away from him. “Let’s go somewhere, Daehyun-ah~” He turned around and walked out of the house again.

His mother followed suit and locked the door behind her before joining them in the car.

“Where are we going?”

“Somewhere you will love it.” His mother turned around from her seat and smiled and Daehyun happily, “Didn’t you say you want to get a sister?”

“YES! DAEHYUN WANTS A SISTER!”

“We’re going to get you one now!” His father squealed happily in his seat as he drove away from their house’s garage, “Are you excited?!”

That made Daehyun confused instead. “How are we going to get one?!”

“We’re going to adopt one. Daehyun-ah, you need to know something first.”

Daehyun nodded his head obediently and looked at his mother for her to continue.

“There are lots of kids, like you, who are abandoned by their parents and being placed in a home called orphanage. And some of them get adopted by other families, while some of them stayed in the orphanage till a certain age before they moved out to live on their own.”

Daehyun frowned and lowered his head sadly, “They are so sad…”

“Yes. And we decided to adopt one of them. We’ve met the girl before, and she’s a sweet kid. You will love her for sure, Daehyun-ah.”

“Really?” Daehyun widened his eyes, as it sparkled, and beamed widely for his parents to see. “What is her name? What is my sister’s name?!”

“Jiyeon. She’s Park Jiyeon, but she will be called Jung Jiyeon from today onwards. You will meet her soon!”

“Yes! And here we are!” His father announced as he pulled over at the entrance of the orphanage. His mother helped him down from the car and together, they walked into the home happily.

“Oh! Mr. and Mrs. Jung! You’re here! And is this little Daehyun who will be our Jiyeon’s sister?”

Daehyun nodded his head happily and jumped about while looking at the woman in front of him, “Where is Jiyeon? I have to see my sister! Where is Jiyeon?!”

“Greet the adult first, Daehyun.”

Daehyun stopped jumping and his pout came out at once. “I’m sorry. Hello, ahjumma. I’m Jung Daehyun and I’m 7 years old.”

The woman bent down to his height and ruffled his hair playfully, “Jiyeon is over there.” She pointed to a girl sitting on the swing in the backyard, “Will you get her over? I have things to talk to your parents now.”

“Yes!” Daehyun nodded his head happily and sprinted out to the backyard, leaving his parents to do the paperwork.

“Jiyeon!”

The said girl tore her eyes from the grass and looked up, sending sad glances to Daehyun which caused him to frown immediately.

“Hello! I’m Jung Daehyun and I’m 7 years old! How old are you?”

Jiyeon stood up from the swing and stared at him blankly, but she replied, “Jiyeon is 6 years old…”

Daehyun smiled and patted her head gently, “I’ll be your oppa from now on. You will be Jung Jiyeon, and you will be living with us now! Oppa will protect you!”

Jiyeon bit her lips nervously, “…Like family?”

“Yes. Oppa will now be your family!”

“Really?” Jiyeon was still unsure, and uncertain.

“Yes.”

With his final determined answer, Jiyeon finally began to smile. “Jiyeon has a family now? Appa… Omma… And oppa…?”

“Yes.” Daehyun held his hand out, and she took it willingly. “Let’s go home now.”

“Home…”

Daehyun pulled her back to the main lobby to meet up with his parents, “Appa, oppa! Look! Jiyeon is so pretty!”

“Yes. She is so pretty.” His mother bent her body down, to stop right in front of Jiyeon, so she could arrange her shirt properly, “Jiyeon-ah. You can call me omma from now on. I won’t force you to call me that so you can take your time okay?”

His father bent down too, and he ruffled his hair playfully before pinching her right cheek lightly, “And I’m your appa.”

“I’m Jiyeon… And I’m 6 years old…” Jiyeon lowered her head shyly and introduced herself.

The adults laughed at her innocence and finally brought the kids back to their home.

“Jiyeon-ah! Let’s go and see your new room!” Mrs. Jung cooed and held her tiny hand before guiding her to the princess-decorated room.

“Do you like it?”

Jiyeon stared at the room in awe and blinked innocently. Soon, wide smile was formed on her face. “It’s so pretty… Princess…”

Mr. Jung entered the room and sat on the bed. “Yes it is. And it’s for Jiyeon princess. Come here, princess!”

Jiyeon walked over to him and he brought her up to his side, on the bed, swiftly. “This will be your new room, and we will be your family. You can tell us anything and everything and we will support you forever, hmm?”

Jiyeon could feel tears b in her eyes.

It was the first time she heard something so loving, and it warmed her heart.

She jumped onto the adult and cried into his arms, tears of joy. “Appa!!!”

Even her new mother was smiling at the scene with tears in her eyes. She walked over to the both of them and joined in the hug too. “What about me?”

“Omma!!!”

Daehyun ran to them and squeezed into the hug, which made the rest of them laughed at his antics. “WHAT ABOUT ME?!”

“OPPA!” Jiyeon pounced onto him and the fell onto the bed, hugging each other tightly.

Their parents stood up from the bed and stared at them in bliss, “They will be great siblings.”

“Yes, they will.”

“Wake up~ Wake up~” Jiyeon cooed and opened the curtain of her brother’s room harshly, so that it would open fully in one try.

“OPPA~~~ WAKE UP~~~”

Her voice could shake the whole house, no joke.

Daehyun groaned and covered his ears with his pillow, shutting her out from his zone.

Jiyeon made no effort to fail.

She never once failed when she woke him up, and not that morning too.

Jiyeon jumped onto his bed and hopped around happily, which caused the male’s body to bounce in rhythm.

Daehyun smirked into his bed and moved his legs, so he would trip her.

And indeed, she fell right onto the bed, with her hitting his. “OOOOUUUUWWWWW!!!!” Jiyeon moved away and rubbed her pained while glaring at the sleeping figure on the bed, “OPPA!” She slapped his thighs and he finally jolted up from his lying position.

“Jung Jiyeon!”

Jiyeon poked her tongue out and prepared for a run, but Daehyun caught her back quickly.

He pushed her down onto his bed and tickled her madly, which caused the girl to squirm and laugh around in happiness.

“Oppa~ Stop~ STOP~”

“Say you’re sorry!”

Jiyeon shook her head, in the midst of squirming and laughing, “NOOOOO~ I DIDN’T DO ANYTHING WRONG~~”

“Then face the wrath of Jung Daehyun!” He roared and continued his tickle.

And she finally gave in.

“OKAY! OPPA, I’M SOWIE!”

Daehyun smiled at her cute words and actions, “Always doing this to make me fall for it.”

“And you like it!” Jiyeon giggled and pulled his pillow over so she could hug it tightly, “Oppa~ Go and wash up now! We have to go to the mall to get what omma wants! She told us to do grocery shopping!”

“Alright, alright.” Daehyun sighed, but he had a smile on his face, “I bet you’re the one who wanted to get things huh?”

Jiyeon replied a sheepish smile as he rushed into the bathroom to get himself washed quickly. Well, he didn’t want his sister to wait for that long.

“Alright! We can go now!”

He exited his bathroom, only to find her sleeping on the bed instead.

However, he caught her tricks again.

“I see someone’s sleeping huh? Alright then. I can go for the ice-cream on my own~”

Jiyeon jumped up from the bed and ran over to him, hugging his arm tightly, “ICE-CREAM! OPPA, YOU PROMISED! ICE-CREAM~”

“Yes, yes. Let’s go now.” Daehyun ruffled her hair playfully and finally exited the house with her, “We’ll get the groceries first before heading over to the ice cream store, okay?”

“YES!” Jiyeon dragged him down the street, and he was being dragged happily by her. “Let’s move fast! We can’t let the ice-cream run away!”

“They won’t run away!” Daehyun chuckled in happiness when he heard it, “You’re so silly.”

“They will!” Jiyeon finally reached the mall and she pulled him down the elevator to the supermarket in the basement. “My bubblegum flavour ran out last time! Remember, oppa?! I have to get it today again!”

Daehyun took a basket and walked behind her, “But aren’t we supposed to take breakfast before ice-cream?”

“Nope~” Jiyeon sang as she placed the bag of sugar into the basket, “Ice-cream can be eaten anytime, anywhere. Breakfast can wait~”

Daehyun took the bag of salt she missed and placed it in the basket then, “Whatever you say, baby girl.”

Jiyeon blushed at the nickname he often called her and patted her cheeks lightly to snap out from her own thoughts. *Don’t be stupid! Jiyeon, you two are siblings!*

Her heart often beat rapidly around Daehyun, and it would do flip flops when he called her those nicknames he gave.

And there definitely would be butterflies in her tummy when he became protective of her from the other guys in school, and whenever he touched her.

But she knew she can’t feel that way.

It’s wrong.

They’re siblings.

So she pushed the thoughts away and rushed over to the next aisle. “Here, oppa! It’s cereals!”

Daehyun followed her, gladly, and he would often take a lookout for her. He wouldn’t want her to injure herself since she was clumsy, and he wouldn’t want her to fall behind since she was often lost in her own thoughts.

He felt something weird whenever he was with her, that’s for sure.

But he just didn’t know what that feeling was.
