A young girl called out after a boy who was a year older than her, and he was running away from her, happily.

“Catch me if you can, Yeonie~”

“Oppa! Wait for me!” The girl screamed as she ran after him.

But only to fall flat on her face the next moment.

Her sobs stopped him from running further, as he ran back to her side.

He helped her up and brushed the dirt on her knee off, while blowing on it lightly. “Yeonie! Are you okay?! Does it hurt?!”

Jiyeon sniffled sadly while wiping her tears away with her palms. “IT HURTS!!!!!! MYUNG OPPA! IT HURTS!!!!!”

“Don’t worry. I’ll get omma to fix it.” Myungsoo cooed and piggy-backed her, all the way to his apartment.

Well, it wasn’t far.

It was just a block away since they were just in their apartment’s compound playground.

They reached his apartment, and he brought Jiyeon to his mother immediately. “Omma! OMMA!”

“Yeah? You’re back?!” She came out happily, but only to gasp in surprise because of the scene in front of her. “What happened to Jiyeon?”

“Yeonie fell down!”

“Put her on the couch, Myung.”

Myungsoo did as told and stayed by her side, holding her hand the whole time while watching his body wash her wound clean.

“Take care of Jiyeon, Myung. You’re older and you’re a man.”

“I will, omma!”

Myungsoo turned to Jiyeon and smiled brightly at her, “Myung will protect Yeonie from now on!”

Jiyeon giggled to herself as she recalled the past with Myungsoo.

“What are you giggling about? You look like a mad woman.”

Jiyeon jumped in surprise, only to find Myungsoo already in front of her.

It was their usual Sunday lunch date, and Jiyeon just arrived earlier to think about all those memories.

They would have a mini lunch date together every Sunday, so as to keep their friendship going, and to fill each other with their lives since they went to different high school.

They were neighbors, and still are, but their parents sent them to different schools.

“So? What are you giggling about?!”

Jiyeon shook her head as she looked at the menu, “As usual?”

“Yeah, as usual.”

Jiyeon called the waitress over, but he knew what they wanted already. “Usual?” He shouted from the counter, in which Jiyeon replied with a nod easily.

That was how often they met up.

Myungsoo kept the menu to a side, before sending her a big grin.

“You’re that happy, oppa?”

“Hmm~”

“What’s happening to you huh? Something must have happened!”

“Hmm~”

“Come on! Tell me already!”

Myungsoo giggled when he saw her whine, before pulling out his phone. He pressed something on it, and pushed it to Jiyeon.

“Is she pretty?”

That question surprised her, but she managed to keep a calm posture, “Hmm… Not bad. Who is she?”

“She’s my girlfriend now.”

“Girlfriend?”

“Yeah. I asked her out last Monday, and she agreed! I’d been eyeing her for a long time already!”

Jiyeon let out a chuckle, forcefully, yet he didn’t realize. He simply took his phone back and stared at the photo on his phone dreamily.

“Did she treat you well?”

“Yeah! We’re so in love now!”

“That’s great then.”

Jiyeon gulped sadly, and her tears were threatening to come out. She even needed to excuse herself to the washroom to compose herself before returning back to the table.

During the lunch, Myungsoo blabbered about his girlfriend the whole time, and Jiyeon simply listened to his words, even though she doesn’t want to.

After they finished their lunch, Jiyeon finally had the chance to go. “I have to head to the supermarket, Myung. I’ll go first.”

“I can go with you!”

“It’s okay! Really~” Jiyeon chirped and rushed out, not even allowing him to talk.

But he let it go and returned home instead, with his mind still full of his girlfriend, Suzy.

Thanks to his girlfriend, their Sunday lunch date cut down immediately.

It turned out that they met only once a month instead.

Jiyeon gave up.

She thought it might be a good idea too.

She had been in love with Myungsoo for the past 10 years.

They met when she was 7, and she loved him when she was only 8. Up till date, it was already 10 years ever since she loved him, secretly.

Of course he wouldn’t know.

Jiyeon wanted so much to confess, but her courage was limited.

And Myungsoo just had to surprise her with his girlfriend news. It was his girlfriend, so she thought he must have really loved her.

Jiyeon thought it might be a good idea for them not to meet often too, so she could forget about him easily.

She could get busy with school work, and even helped her mom out during the weekend at her florist shop.

She wanted to forget the love for him badly.

But she failed.

Even after 6 months, she still loved him.

Yes, Myungsoo was with Suzy for 6 months already, and Jiyeon simply pushed her feelings deeper back into her heart.

However, one night, Jiyeon was alone in her apartment since her parents went for a holiday trip, and the front door of her apartment knocked loudly, furiously.

Jiyeon walked towards the telecom, and looked at the screen, “Myung oppa?”

“Why would he be here?”

Nonetheless, she let him in.

Myungsoo stumbled in, and fall right on top of her and Jiyeon had to hold his weight to the couch, “Myung! What happened to you?!”

He smelt of alcohol, strong alcohol. “Why did you drink so much?!”

Myungsoo smirked and pointed his index finger to her, “BAE SUZY! YOU !”

Jiyeon raised a brow, but she pushed his hand back down, “I’m Jiyeon, oppa. Not Suzy. Why is she a ? Isn’t she your girlfriend?”

“SHE CHEATED ON ME! !” Myungsoo yelled in anger, and sat up straight on the couch while hitting his fists on it.

Jiyeon dared not make a noise.

“Bae Suzy… That ing !”

Jiyeon sighed and pushed him back down onto the couch, “It’s over now, oppa. You’ll be fine. Time heals.”

“I’ll get water for you.”

Myungsoo pulled her back when she was about to leave, and tugged her down to his chest.

“Oppa? Let me go. I’ll get water for you.”

Myungsoo cupped her face and looked at her dearly, “You…”

“Me?”

He said no more and smashed his lips on hers.

Jiyeon tried to push him away, but he was forceful.

He turned their bodies around and moved his lips down to her neck, devouring her.

“Myung… Let me go…” She was already crying, but yet, he heard nothing.

He continued his work, and her that night. Jiyeon struggled, but he forced her and made her do it.

It was horrible for her.

Jiyeon lost her ity to the man she loved, but not how she wanted.

She felt so awful.

That night, she cried to sleep by the drunken man beside her.

Myungsoo woke up first the next day, and had a serious hangover at once. He held onto her head which was stinging in pain, and sat up straight on the bed, only to find him .

He gasped in horror and turned to look at the girl beside him.

He was confused and helpless.

He doesn’t know what to do.

He took his best friend’s first time, in his drunken state.

He knew it was his job just by looking at the red puffy eyes of hers.

But he couldn’t do anything.

In order to avoid the awkwardness between them, he left.

He left without a note, without a letter, nothing.

Jiyeon wasn’t asleep. She woke up, and her tears fell again when she watched how Myungsoo left her bedroom.
