Chanyeon

Chanyeon knew each other since pre-debut (smart model). They pretty close back then, but they pretend to be stranger now. The reason is: because Jiyeon once rejected Chanyeol proposal. So they become awkward now. Jiyeon liked Chanyeol but he rejected him bec she wanted to pursue her dream to be an idol.
One day, a very very loyal fan of Chanyeol asked him why they never talk and he says it's because she rejected him before so he was afraid she hates him. The fan can see that actually Chanyeol want to befriend with Jiyeon like the past. So the fan trying to set them up.

EXO walked into the MBC building early in the morning since they had to prepare for Music Core, for their comeback stage.

Who knew?

T-ara was there before them.

EXO went into their room and greeted their seniors politely before leaving for the next room.

Chanyeol lingered for another minute, right by the door, with his eyes focusing on the girl he once knew.

“Yeol!”

“Coming!”

Chanyeol pushed his thoughts away and jogged towards his group members.

“What are you doing there?”

“Nothing, hyung!”

“Really?”

“Yup!”

Chanyeol took a timid look back, and realized Jiyeon was there. She caught his eyes and hurried back into her waiting room, acting as though nothing had happened.

He didn’t know why, but his heart fluttered that moment.

“Is she trying to take a look at me too?”

“Yeol! What are you mumbling about?!”

Chanyeol looked at Suho again. “It’s nothing, hyung!”

“You’re so weird today!”

“I’m fine! Nothing’s wrong!”

Suho gave him a weird look before dragging him along. “Then don’t zone out. We have to greet other seniors too!”

“Yes, hyung~”

They caught up with EXO and finally went into the next room.

They were always this polite to everyone, even to their juniors. They didn’t want to have their name tarnish, of course.

After Music Core has ended, Chanyeol met her again, at the backstage.

Jiyeon bowed politely and scurried off, even before he could speak anything. That left him devastated.

“We’re too awkward…”

“Yeol!”

“Yes, hyung?”

Suho came over to him and placed an arm around Chanyeol’s shoulder. “Honestly, what’s with you and Jiyeon-ssi?”

“Nothing’s wrong, hyung!”

“You’re so awkward around her.”

“I’m not!”

“Oh, yes you are.” Suho cooed. “You both were so awkward. It’s like you guys know each other yet pretended not to.”

“Hyung~”

“Caught you, didn’t I?”

Chanyeol sighed deeply. “We knew each other way back.”

“AH! The model contest! Right?!”

“Yes. We were in the same batch. We were friends.” Chanyeol sighed once more. “We grew so close and I confessed to her.”

“She rejected?”

“Yes, she did. And we turned out to be so awkward after that. We stopped contacting each other and pretended not to know each other.”

Suho frowned, “Why? You can be friends, right?”

“Yes. But it just turned out this way.”

“Then get to know her again! Ask her why she rejected you and ignored you!”

“But…”

“Don’t you want to know the answers?!”

“I do…”

“Then what are you waiting for?”

“It’s not that easy, hyung…”

Suho patted his shoulder lightly, “Fine then. It’s up to you too!” And he dragged him out of the building, off to their next schedule.

After the day has officially ended, Chanyeol notified Suho before hurrying out of the dorm to get a drink at the convenience store.

He paid for it, drank it, and threw it into the bin right outside.

He stood beside the bin for a minute, trying to calm his heart down, before attempting to move back to his dorm.

That was when a voice stopped him.

“Chanyeol oppa!”

He turned to his left, only to find a girl in her high school uniform. *Don’t tell me… SASAENG?!*

He was about to run for his life, but the girl spoke again.

“Don’t worry, oppa! I’m not a sasaeng!”

“How do I know you’re not one?”

“Because I didn’t get your drink from the bin, did I?”

Chanyeol looked at the bin, and back to her. “That’s true. But it doesn’t prove anything.”

The girl smiled before taking out her phone. “Honestly speaking… I’m not your fan!”

“What?!”

She showed her phone’s wallpaper to him. “See! I’m Jiyeon unnie’s fan!”

“Then… why did you stop me?”

She smiled before keeping her phone into her pocket. “I just have a few questions to ask!”

“Ask me?”

“Yup!”

“What is it?”

“Do you like Jiyeon unnie?!”

“W-WHAT?!”

“Do you like her?”

Chanyeol gulped, “W-Why do I have to answer you that?”

“Because I know you do! I just want to hear it out from your mouth!” She cooed. “I know you confessed to her during your smart model contest years ago!”

“And…?”

“She rejected you! But do you want to know why?!”

“You know why?”

“Of course! I’m a close friend of Jiyeon. She treated me like her sister!”
