Myungyeon

Another version of Chapter 51 (Infinite bully Jiyeon more)

*Kick*

“Ooof-”

*Kick*

Jiyeon bit her lips and winced inwardly, when she received yet another kick from the school’s famous and popular guy, from the famous and popular group of boys.

They were also known as the flower boys in school.

“It’s you to blame, Park Jiyeon. Don’t ever block my way again.” He hissed and sent her a final stomp on her right palm, which was already on the ground.

His friends snickered too, as they stood behind him.

Jiyeon held her palm against her chest, but she dared not touch it. It was just too painful for her. The pain was throbbing badly, and as though a touch on it would break it.

“Learn your lesson well, .” The flower boy hissed once last time before strolling away with his friends tagging along closely.

Jiyeon could even see how his friends were cheering for him, praising him for doing such an awesome work, and that made her felt worse.

How could someone be so terrible?

Jiyeon slowly stood up from the grass patch which she was pushed onto, and walked back to her classroom while holding tightly onto her wrist.

She felt that if she ever dropped her hand down, her hand would break apart.

It was turning red and the bones in her hands felt like it were breaking too.

Not much to her surprise, she entered the room only to be filled with flour and water the next moment.

The red pail with mixture of water and flour, was on top of the door, and once she opened it, the pail dropped on top of her head, pouring down onto her whole body.

She was used to it.

Jiyeon fixed her spectacle up since it slipped down due to the slippery mixture, and walked back to her seat, as though nothing had happened.

She took out a small handkerchief and wiped the flour on her face away, before placing it back to her small clothed duffle bag.

The seven flower boys walked into the class right then, yes, they were in the same class sadly, and they spotted the infamous nerd in white flour.

Right in sync, they burst out into fits of laughter.

“LOOK! THE NERD IN FLOUR!”

“AGAIN!”

“MYUNGSOO-AH! LOOK! IT’S YOUR FAVORITE NERD!”

Myungsoo let out a horrified expression, before glaring at Hoya, who just said the previous sentence, “HYUNG! SHE’S NOT MY FAVORITE NERD! SHE’S JUST THE NERD, ALRIGHT? SHE’S NO ONE’S FAVORITE!”

And they burst out into laughter again.

Myungsoo smirked at the nerd, and walked towards her table, as usual, “Such a poor thing~” He took the sweet drink on the table next to hers, and poured it over her head immediately.

“Let’s get you another taste for today, shall we?”

And that caused the whole class to laugh madly.

Jiyeon lowered her head and all she could do was to keep quiet. She dared not argue or even talk, in fear of what will happen next.

She knew the wrath of the 7 flower boys.

Sunggyu, known as the oldest among the boys, was the principal’s son, and with one word, she could be expelled.

No, she wouldn’t want that.

Her parents worked so hard in the past 5 years, just to make sure she got into this school, the school of her dream, before they left the word in an accident, miserably.

She had to live the dream of hers, since it was the last present she got from her parents.

She wouldn’t let others hurt her dream, even though she was hurt both physically and mentally. She can’t help it.

It’s her parents, her favourite two people in the world.

Now, they’re gone, and she was left alone in the mini rooftop apartment they left for her.

She had no relatives too.

She was all alone in the world.

Myungsoo finally threw the bottle away after he emptied it, and leaned down closer to her face, “Awww~ You smell like lemon now~ I’m sure you’ll attracts butterflies~”

“No, wait.” He was about to walk away, but he turned back to her, not satisfied with his previous remark, “Not butterflies but insects, mosquitoes. Hah! Beware, ~ You might get sting!”

That made the whole class laughed madly again.

The teacher finally walked in, and they knew Jiyeon was the centre of attraction once she saw her. “Park Jiyeon! What’s wrong with you? Go and get changed now!”

Jiyeon stood up slowly, bowed politely to the teacher, and walked towards the door.

But thanks to Myungsoo’s follower, Park Heejin, Jiyeon tripped on her protruding leg which was left out on purpose, and fell flat on the ground.

The whole class began to erupt into laughter again, even the teacher.

Jiyeon bit her lips and held back her tears before rushing out of the classroom, to the nursing room to get a new set of clothes.

She never walked back to the class again, until the last lesson ended just to get her stuffs.

But when she thought she stepped into the classroom after noticing that it was empty, she was wrong.

So wrong.

The door locked behind her, and she was left all alone in the classroom.

She banged on the door and tried looking outside, and only to find the flower boys laughing madly at her reaction.

She couldn’t even speak.

She couldn’t even speak up for something she wanted, and that was all thanks to the flower boys.

Jiyeon’s fists on the door softened, and she stepped backwards, not noticing where she was going. She hugged her duffle bag tightly against her chest as she finally let her tears dropped.

She sobbed sadly to herself and tilted her head up, but her tears couldn’t stop even though she saw the boys finally stopped laughing.

They were looking rather remorseful instead.

Jiyeon took no notice of their expressions, and was still walking backwards, but without realizing, she was already next to the window.

She took another stepped, and she fell backwards, down the fully opened window.

Thank goodness, the classroom was on the second floor.

The 7 flower boys rushed into the classroom in horror, and looked downwards to search for the girl they always bullied.

She was there, trying to get up.

She tilted her head up to look at the flower boys, but not for long, as she limped away while sobbing to herself.

“Erm… I think…” Sungjong began, “I think we were too harsh, hyung…”

“I think so too.” Dongwoo agreed soon after, while nodding his head in agreement, “She was crying… I mean… It’s the first time I saw her tears.”

“Yeah…” Woohyun agreed silently too, and all eyes were soon on Myungsoo.

“What?”

“What do you think, Myungsoo?”

“Whatever.” The said person raised a brow and walked out of the room, “It’s not my business.”

He was just hard-headed.

To be honest, Myungsoo was feeling so guilty inside. *We were definitely too harsh on her. All the time… I even stepped on her hand this morning. And… those tears…*

He let out a small sigh as he walked to his car. He got his car alive, and drove away from the school compound immediately.

Myungsoo stopped at the traffic light right outside the school, and to his surprise, he found the limping girl on the side road.

Without thinking much, he slowed down his speed to follow the girl’s walking speed, and followed her to her destination.

Finally, it took her an hour walk to her destination, thanks to both the distance and her injured legs. Myungsoo was already having his mouth widely opened at her determination.

“She could just take the bus! Is she crazy?! Is she that broke?!”

Myungsoo shook his head in shock but nonetheless, he parked his car nearby, and entered the small ice-cream store she just entered.

“What’s this rundown place… seriously…”

Of course, a rich guy like him wouldn’t and doesn’t even step into a normal store like this.

The door by the side of the shop opened abruptly, and out came Jiyeon who was having difficulty tying the apron around her waist.

Why?

Because of her injured hand caused by Myungsoo.

He saw that, and he wanted to help her badly, but of course, his ego won. Instead, he rushed to a corner of the room when Jiyeon finally finished tying her apron, and hid away from her vision.

Yes, he doesn’t want her to know he was there.

First, it would hurt his pride and reputation, and of course, ego.

Second, he knew Jiyeon would freak out, and he doesn’t want it.

He wanted to know more about her first. That was what he was thinking at that moment.

Myungsoo held the menu up high, and tried peeking countless times over the menu in front of his face.

Without knowing, his menu was long gone, and his eyes were fixed on the girl who was at the cashier, trying to serve the customers in joy.

“How could she still smile after I treated her so badly…?”

That question lingered in his mind the whole time, but he had no answers to it. No answers at all. But he realized something.

She never spoke once.

He waited for her to end work, and finally she did, after 6 long hours. It was already dark outside, but Myungsoo was still on her tail, following her with the slowest speed he ever used.

But he had no complaints about it.

It was weird to him too, and it was new to him. Everything was new and weird to him. It was the first time he followed someone, using a car. It was the first time he wanted to follow someone so badly. It was the first time he wanted to know someone so badly.

And it was the first time he wanted to stare at someone, for the whole day, so badly.

Myungsoo frowned in displeased when she turned into a empty and small lane, which a car couldn’t enter at all.

He had no choice but to follow her, with his feet.

He walked into the small lane, and walked passed buildings after buildings, and it took them almost half an hour to reach her destination.

“What the hell is she doing every day? No buses and cars. School, work, home. That’s it” Myungsoo whispered silently, for him to hear and no one else.

He had to double confirm it.

“Oh God… Don’t tell me she lived in a small apartment.” He followed her closely when she walked up the flight of stairs.

And not much to his surprise, his prediction was right.
