Plot: For 2 years, I thought he was the best boyfriend, he was and still is... that was what I thought my boyfriend, Kai was. I guess, I was too blind to have not notice that he was cheating on me with my best friend, Krystal. 

It was our 2nd anniversary and I was totally excited about it. The thought of Kai coming back from home and getting all surprised by what he's up in to makes me happy, and honestly, I'm anticipating it, so much. However, I guess something happened to him, because it's already 10.45pm, and in just another 1 hour 15 minutes, our 2nd annivasary will be gone.. Being the worried me, I called him, only to go into his voicemail. I started getting really upset and worried for the fact that my boyfriend, Kai wasn't home for our annivasary. Our 2nd annivasary.

Soon, that 1 hour 15 minutes passed, and I've also fallen asleep and only woken up when I heard the front door opening. I thought he was home. I thought the first thing that was going to greet me was his sad pouting face telling me another 'I'm sorry, work kept me.' so I stood up and ran to the door, only to have a heartbreak. 

There he was, the great boyfriend of mine, with my best friend. Kissing. His eyes widened upon seeing me, and I laughed. I guess, today's just my 2nd anniversary. 

Jiyeon’s POV

It’s another year!

I’m with Kim Jongin, or rather known as Kai, for 2 years already.

Today marks the second year we’re together.

I’m extremely happy because he’s always so sweet with me! I know he loves me a lot since he would take care of me when I’m sick, he would call me when I’m lonely and cheer me up and many many other simple acts.

Well, he’s an idol, just as the whole world know. Yes. He’s from that famous new group, EXO! He just debuted not long ago. He introduced me to s and we’re getting along well. I’m even close with Baekhyun now. No! Don’t get it wrong! I love Jongin and that’s it! I don’t love Baekhyun like in the lovers’ ways. He’s just an awesome brother to me.

But the problem is, Jongin can’t visit me often. But I’m okay with it as long as I can hear his voice every day.

And then, there’s Krystal! From f(x)! She’s my bestest friend ever. I met her when we’re in middle school and we managed to keep in contact till now. She’s the one who stayed beside me whenever I have troubles and stuff. She would cheer me up and even help me solve all my problems.

I really love these two people in my life.

Wait wait, let’s get back to the topic!

So……

Today is my second anniversary with my boyfriend.

I’m waiting for him at home to surprise me like last year! Let’s just say last year’s event was the sweetest even he had ever given me.

He surprised me with a huge teddy bear! No kidding, it’s my size! And he brought me out for dinner at a famous restaurant which only idols went. Side track a little, I saw the famous Super Junior there too!

Okay, I know… You guys must be thinking it’s not even sweet, it’s just like a normal couple dates, right?

But he’s an idol, you see. So that’s all he can do for me. That’s simple but I loved it. So, don’t judge my boyfriend!

Well, this year I’ve cooked up a table full of delicious dishes to surprise him since he loves my cooking a lot.

Now it’s already 9PM! I better hurry finish my cooking! Jongin will be back from work soon and surprise me again!

End of Jiyeon’s POV

Jiyeon continued cooking more dishes and finished everything at 1045PM.

They lived together in an apartment. It’s an apartment Kai got for the two of them and proposed Jiyeon to move in with him.

Of course, being the innocent girl who’s drowned in love, she agreed with him and they moved in together.

They lived together for a year and a half already.

Although Kai didn’t go home often, he still called and informed Jiyeon about his whereabouts and where he will stay that particular night.

But it’s already 1045PM, Jiyeon didn’t receive any calls or even messages from him. There’s still one hour and 15 minutes for him to reach home before midnight.

Jiyeon thought that maybe he’s coming back a little later just to surprise her. She’s getting all hyped up in the living room herself already.

*There’s still one hour and 15 minutes to go before the night ends. Don’t worry, Park Jiyeon. I bet Jongin’s just preparing for your surprises! He often did that, didn’t he?*

And so, she waited and waited all alone on the couch.

The food already turned cold but all she cared was the phone on her palms and the front door.

She hoped to receive even just a simple text message or she hoped that the front door would just open and Jongin would rush in and told her he’s sorry and the surprise is just behind him.

She waited and waited.

And soon, 1130PM came.

Half an hour more till the night ends.

Half an hour more till their second anniversary ends.

Half an hour more she has to wait.

She picked up her phone and dialed the number she kept in her head for the past two years.

“Hello-!”

She greeted when the ring ended but only to be sent into the voicemail.

“Erm… Baby, where are you? Erm… It’s just that… You didn’t call today so I thought you were going to surprise me for tonight’s anniversary. Yeah… I hope you’re alright out there, stay safe baby! Erm… That’s all… I just wanted to hear your voice. See you soon…”

She whispered into the phone and hung it up.

She waited and waited again.

She changed her position to lie down on the couch and soon, her heavy eyelids betrayed her.

And soon, another 45 minutes passed, it’s already 15 minutes passed their anniversary and Jongin is still not back yet.
