Pairing: Myungyeon

Plot: Myungsoo's a playboy. One day, he breaks Jiyeon's heart and he pushes her into the street and she gets hit by a car. During her time in the hospital, Myungsoo realizes that he loved her without knowing it. But when Jiyeon wakes up, she has amnesia and he tries to bring her memories back

Jiyeon looked at the cake she just baked and a wide grin was formed on her face. “I hope Myungie will like this!”

It was their one month anniversary, and she couldn’t wait to celebrate it with him.

Jiyeon spotted the musical box on the counter top and couldn’t help but to laugh in joy, “Myungie… Do you remember this box you gave me? It’s the first day you asked me to be your girlfriend!”

She turned the key and at once, the couple on the box began turning and dancing, while the music played, “And it’s been a month! We still have a long way to go, Myungie!”

Jiyeon looked at the clock on the wall and all she could do was to gasp in horror, “Oh no! It’s already 2PM? Myungie lesson ends at 3PM! I have to surprise him!”

They were in different school, of course, since he was 2 years older than her.

He was in university while she was in high school, waiting to graduate. So Jiyeon has all the time to be with Myungsoo now.

She backed the cake into a box and headed out to his school immediately.

His school wasn’t far from her house, it was just about 4-5 bus stops away. She took the bus and finally reached his school.

Students were either entering the school, or exiting the school, since it was already noon time. Jiyeon looked at the clock on her phone and smiled to herself.

“Assa! It’s only 2.50PM!”

She paced around the entrance of the school, and waited patiently for him to appear. It was a surprise, so she would just pounce on him on his back when he came out from the school.

She waited and waited patiently for her boyfriend to appear, but he didn’t. Another group of students came out, but just not him.

She couldn’t find him anywhere.

“I wouldn’t have missed Myungie, right?” Jiyeon frowned and was about to run into the school to look for her boyfriend, but she stopped her tracks when she spotted a familiar silhouette from afar.

She knew it was him.

She just knew.

Jiyeon giggled and hid behind the tree nearby, and held tightly onto the cake in her hands. “I hope Myungie will like this cake!”

She took in three breaths to calm herself down and popped out from her position dramatically, “Myungie!”

But the said guy was already far away from the entrance.

He was walking down the road, from the opposite side of Jiyeon’s, with a girl clinging onto his arms.

Jiyeon frowned and walked after them, unconsciously, and she witnessed how Myungsoo would smile at the girl, kissing her head, wrapping his arm around her to keep her warm.

“W…What…?”

She was devastated.

She never once imagined her boyfriend would actually cheat on her.

She never knew her boyfriend was a playboy.

All this while, she thought Myungsoo was faithful to her and only her.

But here he was, with another girl in his arms.

The next action he did was totally unbearable for her. He pushed the girl against the wall and kissed her aggressively.

And never once had he done that to her.

For this one whole month, all they did was to hang out, hold hands, and kiss on the cheeks. It was just pure and sweet love since Jiyeon wanted it.

Probably.

That might be the reason why Myungsoo would look for another girl, was what she thought.

“Myungie…” With a timid voice, she cut them apart. Myungsoo turned his head and looked at her, but he wasn’t surprised. He was just… normal.

“Oh. It’s you?”

Jiyeon blinked back her tears and stepped forward towards him slowly, “Myungie… What happened to you?”

“What happened to me?” Myungsoo scoffed and pushed her away when she grabbed his sleeves, “There’s nothing wrong with me. This is how I was. This is my true colours, and now you’ve seen it. Great! I don’t have to be the bad guy and break up with you.”

Jiyeon sniffled sadly and finally let her tears dropped, “But Myungie… Don’t you love me…? I thought…”

“That was what you thought.” Myungsoo smirked and wrapped his arm around the girl beside him, pulling her along, “Don’t look for me again.”

Jiyeon dropped the cake onto the ground and ran towards him, pulling onto his arm, “Myungie! You don’t mean it, don’t you? You’re joking with me, right?”

Myungsoo stopped his tracks and turned his head to her, “I mean it, . Don’t bother me again.” He yanked her hands off his arm and continued walking ahead.

But Jiyeon was persistent.

She grabbed his arm again, and cried madly while tugging on his arm, “Myungie… Please tell me you’re joking. You’re playing with me because it’s our one month anniversary, right? Myungie…”

Myungsoo looked at her crying figure and he felt a hard sting in his heart. *One month anniversary…? No one told me we have one month anniversary before… Only her…*

And right then, he could feel a warm feeling in his heart.

But before he could speak, the girl in his arm tugged onto his shirt and pouted, disgustingly, at him, “Oppa~ Shouldn’t we go to your house now~?”

That woke Myungsoo up.

“Right.” He smirked and turned back to Jiyeon, glaring at her dangerously.

“I don’t celebrate one month or whatsoever, just get out of my life.” He exclaimed and pushed her out of the way, hardly.

Without realizing, with his great strength, he actually pushed her out to the road.

And at that moment, a car was coming towards her direction with great speed. Jiyeon looked at the car and she was having a shock of her life.

She couldn’t move.

She couldn’t do anything.

Her legs were numb when she heard the loud honks from the car.

Myungsoo stood by the roadside and witnessed the whole incident. He too, had his legs numbed. His eyes grew wider each second, and he could feel his breath taken away when the car touched the girl on the road.

“BABY!” Myungsoo pushed the girl away and rushed towards Jiyeon, who was already lying in the middle of the road, with blood flowing down from her head.

“Myungie…” Jiyeon choked and she could feel her head exploding, “My head hurts…”

“You’ll be okay.” Myungsoo cried for the first time in his life. He was always the strong man. He wouldn’t cry, not even when his grandparents passed away, and yet, he was crying like a lost child then.

“You’ll be fine.” Myungsoo whispered and glared at the driver, “GET THE DAMN ABMULANCE HERE!”

The lost driver nodded his head and called for help at once.

Myungsoo returned his attention to the girl in his arms and brushed her hair out of her face, even though it was bloody. “You’ll be okay, baby.”

“Myungie…” Jiyeon smiled and held his hand to stop him from moving. She knew he was getting nervous and anxious.

“Don’t cry. I don’t… like to see… Myungie cry.” Jiyeon pecked his palm and held it close to her heart, “Happy… one month… anniversary…”

Myungsoo cried even harder at her words, “Baby. Please stay with me…” He cupped her face with that hand and her cheeks gently, “I’m so sorry, baby. I’m so sorry.”

“Myungie… My strong Myungie… You’ll be fine… Don’t cry…”

His inner self came out at once.

He was always the weak child, and only Jiyeon could see it. Jiyeon was the only one who could see he was actually a soft and weak boy.

Myungsoo held her close to him and pecked her head multiple times. His countless tears dropped onto her face, which caused her to frown sadly.

“Myungie…”

“Hmm?”

“Please don’t cry…”

“I won’t. I’m not crying.” Myungsoo wiped his tears away, but it kept dropping. “I’m not…” He cried another river of tears again.

“Myungie…”

Myungsoo brushed her hair gently, “Hmm?”

“I love you.”

Myungsoo could feel a warm tingly feeling rushing through his heart. “I love you too, baby. It had been you all this while. It was you.”

Jiyeon smiled in relief and closed her tired eyes.

“Baby… Don’t sleep, please. The ambulance is coming.”

By then, crowd had already formed around them, and they were crying with Myungsoo as well. It was so heartbreaking. The playboy of the school finally broke his own rule.

“WHERE IS THE GODDAMN AMBULANCE?!” Myungsoo screamed, but no one could answer him.

“Baby, don’t sleep!” Myungsoo panicked and shook her again, but she was already unconscious.

“WHERE IS THE ING AMBULANCE?! ARGHHHHH!!!!!” Myungsoo screamed madly, and within seconds, the ambulance came.

The medics brought her up to the ambulance, and Myungsoo demanded to follow her to the hospital.

He has to go.

That moment, he finally realized Jiyeon was all he ever had. Jiyeon was by his side all this while, and that one whole month with her was paradise.

Myungsoo held onto her hand the whole trip to the hospital, and often sending her some light pecks on her face.

“You’ll be okay, baby. You’ll be fine. I’ll get the best doctor for you.”

They reached the hospital in just 10 minutes, and Jiyeon was pushed to the emergency theatre immediately.

Myungsoo paced around, right outside the ward, and finally saw the doctors coming to her aid. He grabbed the doctor’s coat at once and glared dangerously at him, “Are you the best doctor here? Get your best doctor! I want her alive and well!”

“We’ll do our best, sir. Please come down.” Of course, the doctor wasn’t surprised. He had deal with such people before, and he understood their feelings.

The nurse pulled Myungsoo back and the doctors could finally head into the ward. “Please stay here, sir. The doctors would do their best.”

And she disappeared into the ward too.

Myungsoo kicked and punched the wall hardly, as he waited impatiently outside the ward for the next few hours.

He lost track of time.

He thought 10 years had passed.

But it was only 3 hours.

He prayed hard, and it was the first time he sat down and prayed. He prayed hard for Jiyeon to be well, and so he could take care of her for the rest of his life.

He wouldn’t ever let her go, again.

The doctor came out an hour later, and his face was happy.

Myungsoo could feel his heart pounding against his chest as he walked up to the doctor in charge, “How is she? How is she!?”

“Don’t worry, sir. The patient is out of danger.”

Myungsoo could finally let out a sigh of relief. “But…”

“BUT WHAT?!”

“There is a high chance that she would lose her memories because she hit the back of her head, hard. We have to wait for her to wake up before we could do any conclusion. But as for now, she is fine.”

“Memories…” Myungsoo lost his cool, “How could she lose her memories?! What about me?!”

“I’m sorry, sir.” The doctor patted his shoulder, and left the scene at once. Myungsoo was devastated, but he won’t give up.

He rushed to the bed when he realized Jiyeon was being rolled out, “Get her to a private ward. I want the best for her.”

The nurse bowed, as understanding, and pushed her to the private ward located at the far end of the hallway.

Myungsoo stayed by her side the whole time.
