Sequel for chapter 284 where Jiyeon is giving birth. Kris was shocked to study that his wife is so noisy and even told him to exchange with the doctor. Kris was shocked and faint when he saw the blood of his newborn.

“Hubby~”

Kris frowned and pushed Jiyeon’s face away. He knew she was by his side even though he had his eyes closed.

“Hubby~~” Jiyeon whined and placed her body on top of his instead. “Open your eyes and look at me!”

“Your hubby is sleepy~” Kris whined too, not opening his eyes.

“Hubby~”

“Baby~”

Jiyeon’s whine turned worse, and Kris just had to open his eyes, only to find Jiyeon smiling brightly at him.

“What?”

“Hubby~”

“Yeah?”

Jiyeon pulled out a paper instead. “LOOK!”

Kris raised a brow as he shifted his eyes to the piece of paper in her hand. “What’s that?”

“Read it!”

Kris took it over and read it, with his eyes opening wider every minute. “HUBBY! THIS!”

“YES YES!”

“BABY! OH MY GOD!”

“YES! HUBBY!!!!”

Kris pulled her down into his arms at once. “OH GOD! THANK YOU! THANK YOU, BABY! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!”

Kris took the paper up again, only to smile widely at the contents. “Baby, thank you. Oh God. We’re going to have a baby!”

“Yes!” Jiyeon giggled happily while wrapping her arms around his torso, leaning her head on his chest. “We’re going to have a baby, hubby!”

Kris turned them around carefully, before leaning up on his elbow. “Baby~” He looked at her adoringly, her hair sweetly. “You’re so stunning and awesome.”

“Hubby~”

“Hmm?”

“I have to thank you too. If it wasn’t for you, there won’t be baby in me.”

“Alright.” Kris smiled, before moving his torso over to her tummy. Kris pulled her shirt up and rubbed her lean tummy lightly. “Baby, can you hear me? I’m your appa~”

Jiyeon giggled as she played with his hair, staring at him adoringly too.

“Baby~ Let’s not hurt our omma, alright? Be a good baby for nine months and you’ll see the world!”

“Hubby~ Baby is too young to hear it now~”

“It’s fine. I’ll tell baby every night.” Kris cooed to her tummy, still rubbing it gently. “Oh God. I can’t believe it.”

Jiyeon rubbed her tummy too, “I feel the same, hubby.”

Kris finally shifted his torso up to her side again, bringing her into his arms gently. “Don’t worry, baby. I’ll take care of you. I’ll be at your side 24/7.”

“Are you sure?”

“Of course!”

“Don’t be silly, hubby! You have work to go to.”

“I can take off!”

“Hubby!”

“What? I can just take a year off from appa. He’ll allow it.”

“But-”

“I can’t leave you alone when you’re having our child, baby.” Kris cooed, persuading her softly. “I have to be by your side. What if something happens to you when I’m not around? I’ll feel guilty for life.”

Jiyeon cupped his mouth at once. “There won’t be anything happening to me, hubby.”

“Right.” Kris pecked her palm before interlocking his hand with hers, “So let me be with you? Let’s just take it that I’m lazy to go to work.”

“For a year?”

“Yes, for a year.”

“Alright, alright. After the baby is born, you’ll have to return to work.”

“Don’t worry about that. We’ll see about it.”

“Hubby~”

“I have to grow up with baby!” Kris smiled, pecking her head right then. “We’ll decide by then but for now, I’ll ask appa for a year off.”

“That sounds bad, but I actually like the idea.”

“You want me to be with you, don’t you?”

“Yes!” Jiyeon giggled happily, snuggling up against his body for warmth. “I want you by my side when I’m having our baby.”

“I’m sure appa will agree with our idea.”

“Especially with omma by his side.”

“Yes. He listens to omma.”

They shared a sweet laughter before finally closing their eyes. “Go to sleep, baby. From today onwards, we’ll sleep early.”

“But what if I can’t sleep?”

“Then I’ll sing you to sleep. You love my voice, don’t you?”

“Really?! You would?! You hate singing!”

“Of course. I would do anything for you.”

“Psh. Only when we have a baby!”

Kris smiled as he pecked her head, “I love you, baby. You know that too.”

Jiyeon let out a sweet smile too, “Of course I know it, baby’s appa.”

“That sounds so nice, baby’s omma.”

Jiyeon hummed a reply before drifting off to sleep at once. The tiredness covered her happiness for having a baby, finally pushing her to sleep.

Kris opened his eyes and stared at his lovely wife lovingly. He simply loved her more, as days went by. “Thank you so much, baby. Thanks for not leaving me, thanks for being by my side and thanks for having our baby. This is so unbelievable.”

Yes, he was still surprised after Jiyeon decided to forgive him a year ago. He cheated, on her bed, with another girl from their school. He only knew about her feelings after she ran out of the apartment, and only then did he realize his own feelings too.

He thought it was too late when he heard about Jiyeon’s accident that night, but thank goodness, she forgave him.

He forgave him after two weeks of chasing after her.

He did all he could.

He cooked, he did the chores, he left her alone when she needed, and he even helped her with the wound and reminded her about the medicines.

He made sure she was fine.

He made sure she was safe.

She was.

That was why Jiyeon decided to give him a chance, and she was glad she did.

Kris turned out to be a one-woman man, and he only had Jiyeon in his eyes. Since they graduated from school a year ago, Kris went to his father’s company to work for him while Jiyeon continued studies in university.

Every single day, Kris returned home right on time, just to bring his wife out for a date or dinner. Every night.

And when they were back home, he treated her as though she was a princess. He helped her with everything, even though she doesn’t need his help.

He simply wanted Jiyeon to feel comfortable.

Right now, since she was pregnant, he will simply take a year off from his father’s company. He will be with his wife.

Jiyeon was just having vacation, so she will have to stop a semester, continuing it next year. Although she will be a semester later than her classmates, but she has to do it. Kris will arrange it. He doesn’t want her to tire herself out.

Kris sighed in bliss as she her hair gently. “Thank you, baby. Thank you.”

He was so thankful.

Now that she brought a new life into their family, he felt as though God was on his side. He felt so elated.

Having a baby with his love was what every man wished for.

“Baby~”

“Yes, hubby?”

“Put the knife down, please!”

Jiyeon frowned but she continued cutting the fruits using the knife.

“Baby!”

Jiyeon flinched at his loud voice, which cut her finger at once.

“See! Baby! I told you not to take the knife!”

Jiyeon scowled as she gave his feet a hard storm when he was right by her side. “It’s your fault, hubby! You scared me!”

“But I told you to put it down the first time, which you didn’t. So I have to shout.”

“MEANIE!” Jiyeon yelled and stormed into the bedroom, leaving Kris behind in the kitchen. He let out a sign before cleaning the sink up quickly.

It has been like this for the past 5 months.

Yes, Jiyeon was already in her fifth month of pregnancy.

Everything was smooth.

Everything was alright.

Just that Kris was too-overly protective.
