Plot: Jiyeon is a good girl and student, she is friendly to everyone. She has a bestfriend and her name is Hyomin. Jiyeon's parents always tell her not to get a boyfriend yet or they'll be mad. Since she's scared of her parents, she agreed obediently with them. Her parents want her to focus on studies and not on getting in a relationship. One day, Myungsoo and Woohyun, two new students arrived at their class. Myungsoo fell in love at first sight with Jiyeon. So he decided to date Jiyeon. Jiyeon wants to refuse but she can't because she also fell in love with him. Soon, they decided to be in a relationship but it's just a secret. She was so jealous of her bestfriend because she is also in a relationship, but this time, it's with Woohyun. Her bestfriend's relationship is legal and everyone knows it. One day, Jiyeon's parents knew her relationship with Jiyeon and they tried breaking them apart. What will Myungsoo do? 

“Jiyeon-ah~ Dinner’s ready!”

“I’m coming!” Jiyeon rushed down from her room, into the dining room, and sat on her seat quickly.

Her parents were already sat on their own seats, and they began eating after her father touched his food.

That was how strict her family was.

“How are school today, dear?”

Jiyeon smiled and nodded her head slightly, “It was as usual. Lessons are alright. I went to the chess club too.”

“That’s my good girl.”

Jiyeon smiled at her parents and quickly finished her food. “I’m done eating, appa, omma.”

“Already?”

“Yes. I’ll go back to my room now.” Jiyeon was about to stand up from her seat but her father just had to stop her.

“Remember to study well. Don’t even think about having a boyfriend yet. You’re still young. All you need is study and get good grades.”

Jiyeon nodded her head obediently, “Yes, appa.” And returned to her room for that night.

“Seriously…” She slammed her tired body onto her bed and rolled around to face the ceiling. “Why can’t I just do whatever I want?”

Jiyeon closed her eyes and fell into sleep almost at once, since she was so tired in school the whole day.

All of the sudden, her phone rang and that made her jumped up. She groaned and crawled over to the nightstand to get her phone lazily.

“Hello…”

“Jiyeonie?!”

“Hyomin? Why are you calling at this hour…?”

Hyomin scoffed in disbelieved, “You’re asleep already? My dear friend, it’s only 9 at night!”

“But I’m so tired…”

“I know, I know. From the training in the athletics club the whole day, how could you even be awake? The competition is coming soon, right?”

“Yeah. It’s so tired. I could feel my bones breaking. The competition is just two months later.”

“Your parents had no idea right?”

“Of course. Or I would be in dead meat by now.”

“Right.” Hyomin sighed and shook her head, although she can’t see it. “I just called to tell you that I’ll meet you in school in the morning tomorrow.”

“Why? Where are you going?”

“I have some errand to run for my mother. She asked me to get some documents to the office early in the morning tomorrow.”

“She stayed over in her office again?”

“Yeah. What’s new?” Hyomin laughed, “Go catch some sleep, dear friend.”

Jiyeon sighed and stared at her ceiling again, “Need me to accompany you?”

“Of course not.” Hyomin smiled brightly at her best friend’s support, “I’ll meet you in school, okay? Don’t have to worry.”

“Alright then. Tomorrow in school. See you, best friend.”

“Goodnight, best friend!”

They hung the call just like that. Jiyeon stared at her phone and smiled to herself, “Silly girl. How I wish I was born as your sister instead. At least your parents leave you alone. Freedom.”

She placed her phone back to the nightstand and fell back into deep sleep again.

Morning came by again.

And it was just another normal day for Jiyeon.

She washed up, changed into her uniform, went down to have some breakfast with her parents, bade them goodbye, and went to school with the driver provided for her.

“Thank you, ahjussi. See you later!”

The driver gave her a smile and waved, “Enjoy your day, young lady.”

“Bye~”

Jiyeon walked towards the main gate of the school and waited patiently for her best friend to appear.

In no time, Hyomin hopped over to her and pounced onto her at once, “BEST FRIEND!”

Jiyeon stumbled back a little but managed to maintain her posture since she was actually used to this random popping out of her best friend, “How’s your mother?”

“Same as always.” Hyomin shrugged her shoulders and smiled, “Workaholic.”

“How I wish I could have your parents.” Jiyeon continued as they walked into the school building.

Hyomin laughed happily and placed her arm around her best friend’s neck, “Be my sister then!”

“I wish. If I could, I would.”

“Next life, let’s be sisters, shall we?”

“Deal.”

And they laughed happily all the way to their classroom again.

Jiyeon sat down on her seat and Hyomin too, settled down on her seat which was right in front of her best friend.

That’s right.

That was how close they were.

Even the teacher had to place them together.

Maybe it was all fated.

Hyomin turned her body to the side so she could chat with her best friend, continued from where they left off.

And finally returned her attention back to the front of the class when the teacher came in.

“Class, settle down. I have an announcement to make.”

Whispers and murmurs could be heard all around the classroom, but with the teacher’s shout again, the classroom turned silent.

“Alright! We have two new transferred students with us today. Come on in.” She waved them in and indeed, two handsome looking students walked to her side.

Jiyeon stared at the cold-looking student and her eyes never left his figure for once. *He’s so cute and handsome.*

She placed her palm on her chest and blinked rapidly at the sudden rush of feeling in her heart. *What’s this feeling? My heart is beating so fast.*

“Oh my gosh! Bestie!” Hyomin tilted her head to the side and whispered to her, “Look at the smiling guy! He’s so cute!”

Jiyeon ignored her squeals and stared at the cold-looking guy longingly. *My heart is going to burst!*

“Class. They transferred over from Haengwon High School in Yongin. Let’s welcome them alright? Introduce yourself, students.”

“Hello!” The smiling guy waved happily, “I’m Nam Woohyun! You can call me Woohyun instead. Hmmm, I wish to be friends with all of you! Please treat me well!”

“I’m Kim Myungsoo.” The cold-looking guy did a small wave instead, “Just call me L.”

“That’s his nickname.” Woohyun giggled and placed an arm across his neck happily, “He likes to be called L.”

Myungsoo glared at Woohyun but the latter simply laughed it off.

“Alright new students. You can get over to the empty seats by the window.”

The both of them strolled down the aisle and headed over to the empty seats. And as if fate was with them, Woohyun sat on the seat beside Hyomin.

“Hi! I guess we’re seatmates then! What’s your name?”

Hyomin smiled shyly and took his hand, “Hyomin. Park Hyomin.”

“Let’s be great friends!”

Hyomin nodded her head and turned back to the front to hide her red cheeks, and of course, that didn’t leave unnoticed by the guy.

On the other hand, Myungsoo went over to the seat that was left empty and settled down on it. Right when he turned his head to look at her seatmate, he felt his heart increasing its speed instead.

*Beautiful.* That girl sitting right beside her was such a beauty to him. He caught the red tint of color on her cheeks and couldn’t help but giggled inwardly to himself. *And cute.*

“Hi. You can call me Myungsoo.”

Jiyeon blinked and turned her head to face him, “But you told us to call you L.”

“That’s for people who aren’t close to me.”

Jiyeon turned even redder at his words, “Erm…”

“And I want to be close to you.” Myungsoo smiled and took his hand out for a handshake, “What’s your name?”

“Park Jiyeon.”

“Jiyeon.” Myungsoo could definitely feel the side of his own lips tugging upwards, “I like your name. It’s sweet like you.”

Jiyeon giggled shyly and faced the front again, “Thank you.”

Myungsoo swore he almost died when he saw the smile on her face. *Such a beautiful girl I’ve ever met. I believe…* He touched his chest and smiled brightly to himself when he felt the fast and rapid heartbeat of his own. *I believe this is what people called love at first sight.*

The lesson went on as usual, and finally ended when the last bell rang.

Students cheered happily since they could head out of school already. Jiyeon too, was happy, but it was because she was heading over to the athletics club.

“Bestie! You’re going to training again?”

Jiyeon nodded her head and smiled while packing her stuffs into her bag, “I can’t miss any training or I won’t be able to join the competition.”

“But you can run so well!”

“Erm, Jiyeon?”

The duo turned their heads to the side and saw the two new students staring at the both of them.

“Yeah?”

“Are you going somewhere?” Myungsoo asked with a smile on his face and Hyomin widened her eyes at his reaction.

*Did he even smile like this before?!*

She tilted her head back to Jiyeon and her eyes widened even bigger, as big as a saucepan.

*JIYEONIE IS SHY NOW! SHE IS SHY NOW!*

Hyomin smirked at the duo and pulled Woohyun out of the scene. “Let’s not disturb the two new lovebirds.”

Woohyun smiled and pulled her wrist instead, “Shall we go on our own date then?”

Without asking for her reply, he pulled her along with him and ran over to the nearest bus stop. “Let’s be the next two lovebirds then.”

Hyomin couldn’t reply but all she could do was to lower her head shyly. *Is he joking with me?!*

“I shall let you know how much I wanted you to be my other half. People call it silly, but I call it love at first sight.”

Hyomin tilted her head up only to find Woohyun staring at her lovingly. “Let’s go! The bus is here!”

She was letting herself being pulled willingly up to the bus, and off they went to their date.

While back in school, Myungsoo was still facing the stunned Jiyeon. “So? Are you going somewhere?”

“Erm… Yeah…”

“Where are you going?”

“To the athletics club.”

“Can I go too?”

Jiyeon blinked and stared at him in surprise. “To the club? You want to join?”

“If you’re inside, and I will join.”

The girl blushed a deeper red and speed walked to the outdoor track and field, with her head lowered in embarrassment.

Myungsoo chuckled at her reaction and followed her all the way to the field. “So, how do I join?”

“Report to the manager.” Jiyeon pointed to the buff looking guy at the corner, speaking to a few students.

“Right.” Myungsoo jogged over to the manager and got in at once. He turned around, trying to tell Jiyeon the good news but she was nowhere to be found.
