Pairing: Myungyeon, Luhan, Seohyun

Plot: Myungsoo and Jiyeon were childhood friends until one day, Jiyeon had to move to China due to her father's business in China. Jiyeon got a new boyfriend named Luhan and they moved to Korea together, entering the same school as Myungsoo. Myungsoo and Jiyeon didn't recognise each other at first but when Luhan cheated on Jiyeon for Seohyun, they slowly knew each other more and eventually finding out who Jiyeon/Myungsoo is.

“Jiyeon-ah, come on! We’re going home!” Jiyeon turned around to look at her mom who was waving her over.

Her mom had brought her to a beach just a few distances away from their house.

“Mommy!!! A while more, please~” Jiyeon pouted sadly while shaking her head, “A while more~~”

“Alright then! Just a little while!” Her mom sighed in defeat and sat down on the bench to continue her small chats with her friend beside her.

“Let them be, Kyungsook-ah. Look, they’re so cute!”

Jiyeon’s mom looked at the two children playing on the sand and smiled warmly, “Yeah. They looked cute together.”

And they began to chat on other stuffs which moms would talk about.

Jiyeon jumped happily when her mom agreed to let her stay for a while longer. She turned her body around and returned to her playmate again.

“Myungsoo Oppa! Mommy let me stay!”

Myungsoo beamed widely as he filled a bucket with the wet sand again. “That’s good! Now help me build this sandcastle!”

“Yes, Oppa!” Jiyeon beamed and helped him filled up the bucket with wet sand.

Together, they planted the bucket of sand onto the sandy ground. Myungsoo patted the castle to keep it strong while looking at the girl next to him, “Next time, I will bring you to my castle and live with me.”

“Really?!” Jiyeon’s eyes sparkled with excitement while she nodded her head happily, “I want to, oppa! Bring me to your castle!”

“Of course! When we grow up, I will marry you and make you my bride!”

Jiyeon clapped her hands happily and tackled him into a big hug, “I love oppa the most!”

“Come on, Jiyeon-ah! It’s time.” Jiyeon looked up from the hug and saw her mom waving her over again.

“I have to go home now, oppa…”

Myungsoo chuckled and patted her head gently, “I will see you again, Jiyeon.”

“Bye bye, oppa!” Jiyeon pecked his cheek and stood up from the ground before running over to her mom.

Myungsoo stared at her retreating figure with a shy smile on his face. He waved at the girl once he saw her turning her head over to wave bye to him.

“Come on, we have to go too, Myungsoo-ah~” His mom shouted and waved him over too, in which he ran to her at once.

“Omma! I want to marry Jiyeon when I grow up!”

Her mom raised a brow and pretended to be surprise, “Really?! Can our son take care of Jiyeon when he grows up?”

“OF COURSE!” Myungsoo declared proudly as he skipped back to his house with his mom.

The next day, Myungsoo and Jiyeon met up at the same beach again, around the same time during the noon.

That had been their routine for months and they became attached to each other.

“Jiyeon-ah~ Come quickly! I’ve found a seashell for you!” Myungsoo hollered her over while waving the shell around. Jiyeon saw it and brightened up immediately. “Oppa! Let me see!”

Myungsoo gave her to huge seashell willingly and taught her to put it against her ears.

“Wow! Oppa! It talks!”

Myungsoo chuckled and patted her head gently, once again. That was his habit once he was with her. “It’s cool, isn’t it?”

“Yes it is, oppa! It’s so cool~ Let’s bury it here, oppa!” Jiyeon found a space under the huge tree in the middle of the beach and demanded.

“If you want to!” Myungsoo beamed and helped her to dig that hole. “Next time if you’re unhappy, just come here and look for this seashell, and you’ll think of me.”

“YES OPPA!” Jiyeon beamed and dug the hole with him.

Together, they sat down on the sandy beach and began to play around again. It was only until their moms called for them did they separate themselves from each other.

“Jiyeon-ah~” The said girl hopped over to her mom who was sitting on the couch with her dad that night.

“This will be our last night here. In Korea.”

Jiyeon looked blankly and blinked her eyes innocently, “Why?”

“Because daddy’s work had to shift to China, my dear. We have to move to China.”

“Is China far?” Jiyeon pouted sadly, “Then Jiyeon can’t see Oppa already?”

“We have to take the airplane, Jiyeonie. And we will be there for years. You can’t see your oppa then.” Her mom explained softly so as not to hurt her.

But no matter how soft she put it, the meaning of her last sentence still hurt her the most. “NO! OPPA! I WANT OPPA!” Jiyeon cried and tried to get out of her mom’s embrace but her mom only tightened it.

“Shhh… Jiyeonie, it’s alright. We will be back when you grow up, and you can find him again. Shhh…”

Jiyeon continued to cry in her mom’s embrace and finally fell asleep in it.

The next day arrived quickly, much to Jiyeon’s dismay, and she had to bid goodbye to her favorite person in the world.

She walked over to the beach with her lips trembling. Myungsoo noticed it at once and ran up to her instead, “What happened, Jiyeon?! Why do you look so sad?!”

“Oppa!” Jiyeon pounced onto him and hugged him tight with her tears falling again, “Jiyeonie can’t see oppa anymore! Jiyeonie has to move to China!”

“Shhhhh…” Myungsoo cooed and patted her back to calm her down which she did only half an hour later.

“So, oppa can’t see Jiyeon now? Jiyeon has to take a plane to China and lives there?”

Jiyeon nodded her head sadly. “Jiyeonie doesn’t want to go. Jiyeonie will miss oppa.”

“It’s your family, Jiyeon.” Myungsoo explained. “You have to follow them. Don’t worry, Jiyeon. When you come back, just look for me again.”

With that, they stayed in each other’s arms until Jiyeon’s mom called for her to the airport.

That was the last day they had ever seen each other.

They got separated right when they were only 7.

Jiyeon couldn’t accommodate with the Chinese custom when she first reached there. She had a hard time fitting herself into their culture. The food doesn’t meet her taste, she can’t even talk their language and her classmates find her weird. Most importantly, she missed her Myungsoo oppa.

However, throughout these few years she had been there, she grew accustomed to it. Her parents then taught her how to speak basic Chinese and that was how she fitted into the environment. She even knew how to make their dishes. Everyone finds her cute and friendly.

Soon, when she finally went to classes, a Chinese boy grew close to her and they became best of friends.

That boy then confessed to her during her 17th birthday and they got together at once, since she had feelings for him too.

12 years had passed just like that. She had been in China for 12 years and she just turned 19 the day before.

Her boyfriend, whom she had for 2 years, celebrated with her and even, made an event for her. She was so touched by what he had done and they stayed in each other’s arms the whole night, under the dark skies as they stared up at the shining stars.

Their group of friends will always tease them and told them to ‘open a room’ whenever they grew lovey dovey together and became touchy with one another.

“Hanie!”

Luhan beamed as he saw how his girlfriend skipped down the stairs into his arms. “Hey, baobei.”

“Hanie~ We have to be quick today, I want to have ice-cream after school!” Jiyeon spoke in fast Korean which flustered him.

She chuckled at his lost expression and pecked his cheek as an apology, “Sorry. I will say it slow, alright?” He giggled and pecked her cheek as a reply before listening attentively to her speech.

Luhan had pick up Korean from her, so he can actually communicate with her parents and her when they feel like it.

“Right, ice-cream!”

“YES!” Jiyeon beamed and clapped her hands happily. Well, she clapped her hands when she was happy. That’s what people say: old habits die hard.

Together, they walked into their campus with her arms hooked around his and greeted their friends once they reached their classroom together.

That’s right. With so many things that had happened, she had forgotten about her childhood crush.

“Luhan, Jiyeon, come to my office now.” Their teacher announced before leaving the class and headed off to his office first.

The duo raised a brow and looked at each other. “I didn’t do anything wrong though.” Luhan explained. Jiyeon giggled and packed her things up, “So do I.”

They walked down the corridor with their hands interlocked and knocked onto the door of the teachers’ room. After knocking, they invited themselves into the room and walked over to their teacher.

“I have good news for both of you.”

“REALLY?!” The duo beamed at the sentence and looked at each other.

“Both of you have talents in music, so Korean academy wants you. They accepted you into their school of arts.”

“SERIOUS?!” The duo screamed in happiness and hugged each other tightly. “YAY!!!!!!”

Their teacher laughed and handed them the brochures and forms. “Just fill in the forms and get your parents to sign it. All you have to do is to pay for the dormitory and your own expenses. Food and plane tickets are actually subsidized by the school over there.”

The duo took the forms and bowed at the teacher in gratitude. “THANK YOU!”

“I can eat my ice-cream happily now~ I’m returning to Korea!” Jiyeon was talking about it the whole trip to the ice-cream store which made the guy happy too.

Luhan was being smiley the whole day too. “Me too, me too! I’m so happy, baobei! It’s my first time to Korea!”

“I shall be your tour guide just like how you were mine before!” Jiyeon beamed and hooked her arms around his happily, “Now all we have to do is to tell our parents! I think they will agree, what do you think?”

Luhan nodded his head, “I think so too!”

Indeed, they talked about it to their parents that night. Once they stated that they will have each other as accompany, the parents began to feel more relieved.

“If Luhan is going then it should be okay. Please don’t make trouble even though it’s your hometown. Take care of Luhan, okay?”

“If Jiyeon is going then it should be okay. Make sure not to create trouble for the poor girl, okay? She’s finally going back to her hometown, she must be elated. Take good care of her!”

The duo nodded their heads happily once they received their parents’ consent. They fled back to their room and made a call to each other.

“Baobei! My parents agreed! They said if I’m going with you, then I will be fine!”

“Me too, Hanie! My parents even said I have to take care of you!”

The couple chatted happily on the phone till late night and finally handed in the form to their teacher the next day.

The day when they flew to Korea finally arrived. The couple was standing in the airport with excitement written all over their face and their parents were giving them one last hug for farewell.

“Take care of each other~”

They beamed while waving goodbye to the couple as they entered the departure hall.

With that, they finally arrived in Korea.

♥♥♥♥♥

They settled down into the new area quickly. Jiyeon had lost contact with Korea for long so she had a hard time settling down too.

But it didn’t take long.

The lessons started once they enrolled themselves into the school. But sadly, they were being placed in different classes.

Jiyeon walked into her classroom and sat down on an empty seat by the window. As time goes by, students became to pile up into their classroom and lastly in came a handsome guy.

Jiyeon swore her heart beat jumped slightly when she saw him but pushed the thoughts away since she has Luhan.

The guy walked down the aisle and sat right behind her since it was the only empty seat in the class. Jiyeon eyed him and her vision followed him all the way to his seat.

The guy caught it, since she was so obvious, and he gave her a warm smile, “Hey. I’m Kim Myungsoo, what about you?”

Jiyeon snapped out from her thoughts and took his hand, “Jiyeon. I’m Park Jiyeon.”

They smiled while letting go of their hand and Jiyeon turned back to the front. She placed a hand over her chest and took a deep breath. *Wow… His hand shocked me, literally!*

Myungsoo stared at the girl in front of him and frowned.
