“Myungsoo, Jiyeon.”

“Yes, sir!”

“This new mission will be done by the both of you.”

“WITH HER?!” / “WITH HIM?!”

Their boss looked at the duo with a brow raised, “Any problem?”

“No, sir.”

“Good.” He nodded his head and pushed a file to the both of them. “It’s a highly confidential mission so let no one know. Not even your family. You both have to be undercover in Club J and take evidences of drug dealings in there. The boss is dealing with a heavy amount of drugs each time so be careful. They will have lots of bodyguards around them.”

“Yes, sir.”

“Do not use any guns if necessary. You’ll only endanger yourself.”

“Yes, sir.”

“Good. Myungsoo will join the Club as bartender tomorrow. Jiyeon, you will join the club as hostess next week. To avoid suspicion.”

“Yes, sir!”

“Do good, both of you. I know you won’t let me down.”

The both secret agents nodded their heads and left the room. Myungsoo read the file of every member in the club before throwing the file to Jiyeon.

Thank goodness, she managed to catch it expertly.

“Yah! You don’t have to throw!”

Myungsoo gave her a smirk before walking ahead but Jiyeon pulled him back by his collar.

“YAH!”

“Apologize first!”

“NO!”

“THEN I WON’T LET GO!”

Myungsoo was seriously annoyed. He crossed his arms and glared ahead, “Let go.”

“No!”

“Let go this instance.”

“I said no!”

Myungsoo turned around within one second and faced her, which left her dumbfounded. But she managed to recover quickly. She grabbed onto his collar again.

“Let me go now.”

“NO! APOLOGIZE!”

Myungsoo pushed her hands away harshly, “Not sorry.” And he fled.

Jiyeon wanted to chase after him but she ignored it in the end. She let him go just this once. “Stupid guy. Psh. And I have to work with you this time again.”

“Are you ready, Myungsoo?”

“Yes, sir.”

“Take this gun.”

“Sir…”

“This is the gun I used last time.” He smiled as he passed the gun to Myungsoo. “Use it when necessary, okay?”

“Yes, sir.”

“I know you are not in good relationship with Jiyeon but please keep a look out for her, will you? She’s always strong-headed. You can’t let her do things in a rush.”

“I will, sir.”

“Thank you.”

His boss patted his shoulder and sent him out of his door. “Be safe.”

Myungsoo bowed politely before leaving for Club J. But of course, there were two bouncers standing in front of the entrance. “Name.”

“Kim Myungsoo.”

“What are you here for?”

“The new bartender.”

The bouncers let them in immediately. He walked into the club, which wasn’t open yet, only to find a guy sitting by the bar. “Here you are!”

He recognized that as the boss. “You came here for a new job behind the bars, right?”

“Yes.”

“Mix something you’re good at.”

Myungsoo obeyed. He went behind the bars and fixed the best alcoholic drink he could make.

The boss nodded his head in agreement. “This is the best drink I’ve ever had. You’re in. Start tonight.”

Myungsoo bowed at once, firmly. “Thank you, boss!”

He started his work that night.

Everything seemed normal.

And it was normal for the next whole week before he saw his partner in the club. They met eyes but didn’t speak and continued their job.

Myungsoo stood behind the bars while Jiyeon sat around tables, entertaining the group of guys who asked for her.

She soon became popular indeed.

Every group of guys wanted her to join them, but it was a first come first serve basis. She followed the rules and entertained the first group of guys who called for her.

That was it.

She did nothing else.

Of course, there were guys who asked for more but she laughed it off and made them drank, forgetting about what they wanted at first.

The partners didn’t forget about their duty at all.

They were keeping a lookout for the drug dealers too.

And it finally happened.

Myungsoo noticed a member of the club, working straight under the boss, sneaked into the back storeroom without anyone noticing.

Of course, with Myungsoo’s sharp eyes, it didn’t went unnoticed.

He took out his phone secretly and texted his partner.

Jiyeon saw it.

Myungsoo watched as she strolled towards the restroom, which was right beside the storeroom. He returned to his job.

Jiyeon stood beside the door, in the shadows, and pressed a listening device on the door. She held an earpiece to her ear and listened.

She heard it clearly.

All the information were said inside.

The boss and his sidekick were talking about the next dealing location and time.

“Yes, boss! I’ll be here.”

Jiyeon took her cue to leave.

She took her device and hurried into the crowd of dancers.

She took a peek back, and the sidekick of the boss took his exit through the backdoor. She returned to the group of boys and continued her job in the end.

When their work was over, Jiyeon sent a message to Myungsoo, asking him to meet her right in her apartment.
