Idol-Based. Jiyeon and Soyeon are best friends. Soyeon's in relationship with Chunji, Jiyeon's twin brother. Jiyeon was invited on a variety show, together with the two, and EXO. Chanyeol, being schoolmates and best friends with Jiyeon, they can’t be separated while the cam is rolling, earning rumours that they are couple. At first, they denied it, but when they were casted in WGM, Jiyeon started to fall for Chanyeol, but she knows that Chanyeol is in love with somebody else. But in the end, Chanyeol realize it, when one night, he heard Jiyeon talking in her sleep.

“Soyeon! Jiyeon!”

“Yeah, oppa?!”

“You both are invited to a variety show!”

“Just the two of them?!” Hyomin pouted sadly as she walked out of her bedroom, “I wanted to play too~”

“It’s not for fun, Park Hyomin.”

Hyomin giggled as ran up to their manager, “Oppa~ What show will they be going?”

“They will be going to Star King.”

“Oh really?” Hyomin sounded disappointed, “Alright then~ Have fun, 2 yeons~” And she skipped back to her room, earning laughter from the rest of them.

Jiyeon and Soyeon agreed to go, and got prepared for the recording that night.

They reached the studio in no time and greeted the staff members and even the other guests and MCs before returning to their room for a rest.

They chatted for a while among the both of them, before a knock was heard from the door.

“Come in!”

The door opened, and Soyeon squealed in bliss before running into his arms, “Chanhee oppa~ You’re here too?!”

“Hmm~ They invited me too since everyone know we’re together.”

“YAY!” Soyeon was cheering in joy, while Jiyeon was staring at the both of them in disbelieved, “Oppa. I’m your sister and all you can see is Soyeon unnie?! You’re so mean!”

“Come here my baby girl.”

“NO!”

“Come on. The hug offer is ending in 3… 2…”

And Jiyeon rushed into his arms at once.

“Oppa~”

“I missed you too, baby girl.”

They shared a good laugh before being called out to the recording, and they moved out together. Chunji and Soyeon were sitting together, while Jiyeon was sitting beside Soyeon.

They waited for a while since they were early, and soon, EXO came out from their waiting room.

They greeted everyone in sight, and took their seats, but once Chanyeol spotted Jiyeon, he rushed to the empty seat by her side.

“JIYEON-AH~”

“CHANYEOL!”

They laughed in bliss before giving each other a huge hug. “I didn’t know you are here!”

“I didn’t know you are here too!”

They shared another huge fit of laughter together, before hugging each other again.

The both of them started talking about their past together, during high school, and even university since they were in the same schools.

Just then, Hodong walked into the scene and greeted the staff members politely, while the idols and other juniors of his were greeting him instead, except for the two who were so immersed in their own world.

“Jiyeon-ah! Hodong sunbaenim is here!”

Jiyeon ignored Soyeon’s call and continued her chat with Chanyeol.

“Chanyeol-ah! Stand up now! Greet sunbaenim!”

Chanyeol too, had the same reaction as Jiyeon.

Hodong caught the two and chuckled in bliss before walking towards them. “Jiyeon-ah~ Chanyeol-ah~ Kang Hodong is here~”

“Yes~”

“We know~”

The two of them simply waved him off but stopped once they finally realized it was Hodong right in front of them.

They stood up in sync and bowed a deep 90 degree bow to him, “I’m sorry, sunbaenim!” They chorused in sync once more, only to let out a chuckle together.

Hodong too, was surprised by their chemistry, and simply ruffled their hair playfully. “It’s okay~ Continue with your chat then~”

And he walked away with a giggle too.

Chanyeol turned to Jiyeon, only to realize she was doing the same, and they let out another fit of laughter once more.

Soyeon, Chunji, and even EXO looked at them, impressed. “They sure can talk the whole day, oppa.”

“I think so too.” Chunji shrugged his shoulders and returned to the front, waiting for Hodong to begin the show again.

The sunbae began soon after getting signals from the staff members, and finally, the camera started rolling.

However, throughout the whole recording, Chanyeol and Jiyeon were talking to each other too. After watching the performances of the participants, they would chat among themselves.

Well, their conversations started with the performances before leading off somewhere else every time.

Hodong caught their interactions, and he couldn’t help but to point it out, during the rolling of camera too.

“Chanyeol-ah~ Jiyeon-ah~ I’m sure you guys talk throughout the whole show.”

The two said person grew red and giggled shyly, “We did not, Hodong sunbaenim!”

“Yes you did, Jiyeon-ah~” Hodong cooed as an idea popped out in his head, “You guys are friends right?”

“Yup!”

“Best friends?”

“Of course! I knew Jiyeon since high school! And we’re even in the same university now!”

“Ah right! Kunkuk university, right?”

“YUP!”

“Great!” Hodong giggled and waved them out, “Come here, both of you.”

The both of them raised a brow in confusion, but nonetheless, followed his words and walked up to the front.

“Do you know why I called the both of you out?”

“Nope.”

“It’s because…” Hodong smirked and nudged his head towards the couple performers in the middle of the stage, “They will dance, and the both of you will follow.” Hodong turned to the audience and even the guest panels, “How is that?”

“WE LIKE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Jiyeon and Chanyeol had their jaws widely apart. “We have to dance like them?!”

“Yeah!” Hodong assured them and walked to the couple, “You guys have to do more hard dance moves for them, alright?!”

“Yup! Sure!”

Jiyeon and Chanyeol had their jaws even wider apart.

“Great!” Hodong clapped his hands and moved back to the side, “Music, cue!”

The music began, and the dancers moved swiftly according to the music. They even added difficult moves where the boy had to carry the girl up into the air while holding onto her waist, and they had to stand so close to each other.

When they finished, everyone was clapping except for the both of them, of course.

“How was that? Jiyeon, Chanyeol! It’s your turn now!”

The best buddies gulped hardly before dragging their feet to the middle of the stage. “Don’t worry, Jiyeon-ah. I won’t let you fall.”

Jiyeon could feel a sudden hard thump against her chest when she heard Chanyeol’s whisper. *He said… He won’t let me fall…*

“Music, cue!”

The music began, and their dance moves in the beginning was exactly the same as the performers.

And here came the difficult part.

Chanyeol turned two rounds and caught Jiyeon’s waist, before pushing her up to the air and back down to the ground.

She landed perfectly too, which caused the audiences to clap their hands in awe.

The dance ended smoothly, much surprise to everyone, and even the both of them. Jiyeon giggled and hugged Chanyeol tightly, while he did the same.

“Okay~ I admit defeat.” Hodong cooed and pushed them back to their seats, “Continue with your small chats, you guys~”

That caused another round of laughter to appear in the set.

The recording ended swiftly, and each of them returned to their dorms at once. Of course, Chanyeol never left the building without getting Jiyeon’s number since he just got his phone from his company.

The exchanged text messages for the whole night, before finally going to bed only at about 4 in the morning.

Both had schedules the next day too, but they realized talking to each other was more important and much more exciting than their sleep.

The late night text messages went on, and to Jiyeon’s surprise, she fell in love with her best friend.

Yes, she just found out about her feelings too.

They exchanged so many text messages, and sometimes, they even had late night calls, and these actions of Chanyeol’s touched her.

She could feel her heart jumping whenever Chanyeol called or texted her, and she could barely sleep while thinking of him the whole day.

She wanted to see him badly too, unfortunately, thanks to their schedules, they couldn’t.

But to her dismay, Chanyeol doesn’t seem to feel the same way.

They talked about everything they wanted to say, and Chanyeol confessed he liked someone else, while they were talking on the phone one night.

Jiyeon could literally feel her own heart ripping apart, and she was holding back her tears while listening to how Chanyeol talked about that girl to her.

And much to her dismay, that girl was her all-time rival: Sistar’s Dasom.

Jiyeon would hum a reply whenever he asked for her opinions about Dasom, and he would continue talking about his ideal woman, not realizing he was breaking her heart.

Days went on, and the call between them decreased, surprisingly.

Jiyeon would ignore his call sometimes, and would only reply to some of his text messages.

Chanyeol found it weird, but he thought she might be busy, so he let it pass easily.
